What a cool restaurant! A traditional Irish Pub with gorgeous interior. The food was delicious, and the service was fast and friendly. Went with family and ordered traditional Irish meals. Fish and chips were fabulous, the burger was so good, as were the fries (chips) Loved the vibe and would highly recommend.

    Traditional Irish breakfast!

A friend and I were looking for a full Irish breakfast and stumbled on Murray's after arriving in Dublin. We sat down at 10:40am, just before breakfast closed and lunch service started. The food was great with bacon, sausage, white and black pudding, mushrooms, beans, toast, two fried eggs and hash brown potatoes. Coffee was excellent (I had plain brew and my friend had cappuccino). Service was great and they didn't rush us at all. Nice welcome to Dublin. Full breakfast is 15 euros...lighter edition (no mushrooms or puddings, 1 egg) is 12 euros...and both include coffee or tea.

Delicious and convenient! We all enjoyed our entrees. After a day of touristy things, this is a nice place to get a meal!

The security guy at our hotel provided us with a few restaurant choices in Dublin within a twenty minute walk. We decided on Murrays Bar which had a classy entance and could hear loud Irish music coming from within as the door opened. Well illuminated displays of liquor at several areas of the restaurant. A four piece Irish band was playing fast and furious on stage and the crowd was singing along. The ambiance was great and the place was standing room only. There was a thirty minute wait for a table, and in a huge two story restaurant at 830pm that was a good sign that its a great place. We sat at the bar and ordered an Aperol Spritz and a Western Herd Brewing Blue Jumper craft beer. We listened to the band with our drinks in hand. Our table downstairs was ready and took the short walk. Another brightly lit full liquor bar next to our table. The server gave us a few recommendations and decided on Beef & Guinness Pie, Deep Fried Irish Brie with a chicken wings appetizer. The Brie was crazy good and supposedly the best seller here. Although the Beef & Guinness Pie pleased my palate, it was evident from the charcoal smell and taste that the bottom of the kettle was burnt and we informed the server. The restaurant had nice music and the price was great at 70€.

Was hungry and didn't want to go far from our hotel. The security guard told us to check out this place around the corner. We walked in and it was very busy, but we're able to get a seat shortly after we arrived. We were escorted downstairs, which I was glad for because it was extremely loud upstairs as a band was playing. We ordered two appetizers because we didn't want to get too full. We ordered a fried brie and chicken wings. Both were delicious and we left satisfied.

So we came back again absolutely love the music and the dancing as for the food. Well, let's just say it could be our improvement at the turkey dinner tonight because it's an American Thanksgiving today would never do that again. Had the chicken crispy probably won't ever do that again eitherservice was all right.

Was by our hotel and we felt like a late night beer. Staff here unfortunately isn't all that friendly. We came in at 10:45 PM and all they wanted to do was clean and ignore patrons at the bar. Not once were we asked how you doing can I get you anything. We had to stop them to get served. The only highlight on this visit was catching the backend of the band. Murray's was probably the most unfriendly pub we visited during our visit. Just felt like we were a huge inconvenience to the staff the entire time we were there. Will not return on the next visit to Dublin. Too many options where they are happy to see you.

Had high hopes, but was disappointed at every turn. The seating at our table was so tight we could not get into the chairs. Our service was poor. Delivered our food without silverware. We saw each round of our drinks sitting at the bar for 10 minutes before he picked them up and delivered them the 6 feet to us. Our requests for refills of water (we had to ask?) and other items were forgotten. The Irish stew was borderline inedible. It was watery (not thick like gravy), bland, and the meat was fatty and rubbery. The chicken tenders were overcooked and took biting with the molars to get through. The truffle burger was ok, but relied too much on the sauce to save a mediocre item. We ordered a standard cocktail (Moscow Mule) that was not on the menu and were informed we would have to purchase the ingredients individually. Nothing was nasty or terrible, sparing it from a one star rating. But, we will not come here again, and I would humbly suggest you do the same.

Awesome venue with a restaurant downstairs and a sports bar upstairs. They support LFC, so I was able to watch their champions league match with ease while visiting Dublin. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious, better than most bar food. I tried the lamb stew which I would recommend! Will definitely be back!

We went there for brunch - and I was quite happy with it. Not the most hipster brunch (although I have to admit that's the first pub I have been in that does avocado toast!) but also not very expensive (by Dublin standards that is) We were shown our table, and the food arrived very quickly. It was also great that the place was open 10am-ish on Sunday! Not mangled places were!

I love this place! The live music and show are well worth staying for- make a reservation if you can. We got there around 7:30 for dinner and enjoyed the live musical duo on stage, then the dancers at 9:30ish (I think? Or maybe 10pm?). Everything we ordered was tasty and just the right amount- not big enough to share but enough for 1 person. Fish and chips, garlic Parmesan fries, and burger were all solid. Kids can stay for the show as long as you order food. Service was good, and prices are a little on the high side but consistent with other places in the area. We have been here both times we've been to Dublin and will definitely be back the next time we are in town!

Beautiful ceiling in this old pub.

For our last night in Dublin, we went to Murray's Public House. The food and the service was amazing. Ambiance was great as well. I started with the fried Brie ( it was phenomenal). The main course was chicken pot pie. While good, it was more like creamed chicken and mushrooms. It needed more flavor. The chocolate brownie was delicious with good cocoa. Highly recommend. The Irish music was good although a little loud for me.

Tucked down Dame Court just off Dame Street, The Stag's Head is one of those rare pubs that feels genuinely historic rather than designed to look old. The building dates to the late 1800s, and the interior retains the ornate features of a classic Victorian "gin palace"--rich carved wood, stained glass, brass rails, and a warm, glowing bar that feels wonderfully preserved. We stopped in around 4:30 pm, which turned out to be a perfect time to visit. There were other patrons enjoying drinks and food, but the atmosphere was calm and relaxed rather than loud or rowdy. It felt like the kind of place where locals drop in for a quiet pint on their way home from work before the evening crowd arrives. The staff were excellent--friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good (we failed to take photos because we were too busy enjoying it). As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see the Impossible burger front and center on their menu; it was deliciously prepared with guacamole on a brioche bun, and not an afterthought on the menu. My companions both chose the Irish Beef Burger, and said it was excellent. One thing to know: this is a traditional Victorian pub, so cocktails aren't really part of the program. Expect beer, wine, or spirits rather than mixed drinks. In a place like this, that actually feels exactly right. Other pubs do serve mixed drinks. Between the history, the ambience, the quality of the food, and the wonderful staff, The Stag's Head is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've experienced a real piece of Dublin.

My girlfriend and I were itching to explore the pub scene or any scene for that matter! We decided to layer up and go for a walk...in 32 degree weather and a foot of snow. Hey we're Floridians, we were up for some change! Lo and behold, we look up at the pub around the corner from our Airbnb, and the doors are open. We see Dubliners out front smoking cigarettes, joshing around, happy to be out in the world. We nearly sprinted into The Back Page, which is a fantastic name for a pub by the way. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Customers were relaxed, the bartenders were chipper, and there was lots of wiggle room to sit or stand throughout the two story venue. Local beers and local whiskies filled the menu, and the prices were very reasonable. Attached to the bar is a pizza joint, I assume they are under the same ownership.
