    Pizza

Absolutely amazing pizza and would be my favourite toppings anyway. Not too much grease considering THE AMOUNT of meat on this thing Second pizza is the Sonia O'Sullivan your classic margherita. Probably the nicest margherita I've ever had. Usually find margherita boring but the the chunks of the cork buffalo mozzarella were banging! MOST IMPORTANT I'm pretty sure it's crack cocaine but they have it on the menu as chilli jam. Beautiful authentic Italian style pizza a definite spot to return to! And definitely a contender for one of the nicest pizzas I've had in Dublin

    Cute!

This is a really nice pub. Not too hipstery or up itself - it's a really nice combo of old fashioned pub with new fashioned sensibilities, like craft beer (yawn) and some fairly whopper cocktails (not so yawn). Good pizza, and lots of other random happenings, like the Bring The Toys night where they played the toy show, and everyone brought along a toy for Temple St Hospital. They have weekly pingpong tournaments, and at this time of year, hot apple cider, mulled wine and hot mince pies. Winner!!

Finally! A pub in Phibsboro that suits all. The Back Page is a place to go for a coffee, a pint, a pizza or a cocktail. The music is great (think Talking Heads, Sister Sledge etc). The staff are ridiculously friendly, not to mention knowledgeable about their vast selection of craft beers and cocktails. A special mention should be made of their coffee and tea which they source from 3FE and wall & keogh respectively. They also serve pizza, salads and nibbles. I have not yet sampled but I look forward to doing so. Especially as all is cooked in house. But that's not the best bit. The best bit is all the different games you can play there, there's even a dedicated PlayStation room! That's also ping pong, darts, arcade games etc. Top all this off with a cosy, heated beer garden and you have all the makings of an excellent night out.

I went here before a Bohs game one night and it was lovely. The atmosphere is great! The food is delicious and not expensive! I had the Sonia O'Sullivan and it was yum! The staff were nice too. It seems to be a really great pub, there are posters everywhere saying all the different events they do during the week and at the weekend, table quizzes, games nights etc. They have board games you can play as well in the pub, which i always think is a nice touch. Only downside was the toilets weren't great. No soap in the dispenser and one cubicle had no toilet seat. Id say it would be a great pub to be in if there was a big game on. I would definitely go back.

I'd read good reviews of The Back page so decided to give it a bash tonight to have pizza and watch the World Cup Qualifiers. The place wasn't too full but the menu offers a proviso that all food is made from scratch so it takes a while. We ordered garlic bread for starters and two Sonia O'Sullivans. The garlic bread arrived about fifteen minutes later, freezing cold and drenched in really sweet balsamic vinegar. It was the least garlicy garlic bread I've ever had. As we were eating our garlic bread, I noticed two people going to the bar to get chilli oil etc. Always a bad sign as it tends to indicate flavourless pizza. Surprise, surprise- our pizza arrived and they were bland. No flavour, quite oily and just bland. I won't be back for food. They do really good drink promotions so if I were to come back, It would be just for that. The toilets could do with a clean to be honest. They were grubby and had no toilet paper in them. Yuck.

Katie Taylor pizza in front and in background two pizzas with walnut and jalapeños. Sounds mad but best combination on a pizza EVER!

Absolutely epic pub! Possibly the nicest pub grub, sweet craft brews on tap, large venue with a huge beer garden and a shed load of board games! Came here for the first time on Patrick's day which as you can imagine is a busy enough day to be hitting up a pub. While lots of tables were busy we were able to find a little table after a while of sitting at the bar. When picking drinks staff were super helpful and made some suggestions. Pretty large selection of beers available and some awesome deals such as two Cuba libres for 12 beans! Now onto the pizzas. Good lord the pizzas!! There's a large mouth wateringly good selection that do not disappoint in the slightest. I got the Katie Taylor which had a mass amount of veg and meat piled onto a thin baked pizza. No grease and loads of taste. I was incredibly impressed by an option with walnuts and jalapeños. Absolutely delicious! Between 5-7 you get a pizza and pint for 12 quid which is a steal!!

Long planned visit after hearing a lot about the place. Drinks reasonably priced, interesting food selection. Tempted all night by the smell of the pizza base but the January diet put paid to that. Could do with a pool table and toilet upstairs. Darts amateurs + pints = requirement for nearby toilet.

One of the best cheese boards in Dublin. Great portion for €9

It's next to a huge graveyard and was established in 1833 so the gravediggers could have a place to talk and drink their favorite beverage. There are two sections one is for drinking and the other is for eating. The folks there were super friendly as we first had a pint of delicious beer then we wandered to the food side. The service was excellent as I had the potato soup which was delicious and cheap. My wife and daughter split the Irish rolls and they fell in love with them. It was a great experience and I would definitely highly recommend anyone in Dublin to visit this place. Tucked down Dame Court just off Dame Street, The Stag's Head is one of those rare pubs that feels genuinely historic rather than designed to look old. The building dates to the late 1800s, and the interior retains the ornate features of a classic Victorian "gin palace"--rich carved wood, stained glass, brass rails, and a warm, glowing bar that feels wonderfully preserved. We stopped in around 4:30 pm, which turned out to be a perfect time to visit. There were other patrons enjoying drinks and food, but the atmosphere was calm and relaxed rather than loud or rowdy. It felt like the kind of place where locals drop in for a quiet pint on their way home from work before the evening crowd arrives. The staff were excellent--friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good (we failed to take photos because we were too busy enjoying it). As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see the Impossible burger front and center on their menu; it was deliciously prepared with guacamole on a brioche bun, and not an afterthought on the menu. My companions both chose the Irish Beef Burger, and said it was excellent. One thing to know: this is a traditional Victorian pub, so cocktails aren't really part of the program. Expect beer, wine, or spirits rather than mixed drinks. In a place like this, that actually feels exactly right. Other pubs do serve mixed drinks. Between the history, the ambience, the quality of the food, and the wonderful staff, The Stag's Head is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've experienced a real piece of Dublin.

Joxers is just one of those places you'll either love or hate... This place reminds a bit of Luke Kelly, its a bit rough around the edges, a bit rebellious, not some where you'd bring your granny to see, but sums up what Dublin is and it is truly one of a kind!! (although it is owned by a Kerry-man as can be seen by the exterior!) First off i have to mention this is a proper inner-city 'does what it says on the tin' Dublin pub, that gives modern Ireland the finger!!! You wont find the celtic tiger roaring in here, to be honest its a bit of a dive bar, nor will you be expected to pay 5 or 6euro a pint. The regulars are mainly local aul-lads (from the nearby flats) that live for their few pint, they are salt of the earth people and characters to say the least, and dont be alarmed if you find a few having a sneaky fag down the back, its a bit of given in this place!! if you planning on visiting joxers, it is well worth going on a sunday afternoon as there is a fantastic traditional group playing from 12pm, a raging open fire, and porter flying like theres no tomorrow... **in my eyes this pub gets 5 stars everytime, (good guinness, pool table, large screen for matches, big open fire, bita atmosphere, decent music, smoking ban???) but it is not a going to be for everyone and for those i will say stick to Temple Bar...

We were seated up front (on the right side) both times and enjoyed the relative solitude within a very popular restaurant, bar, and music venue. Music was playing in the other room, but piped in for easy listening. I enjoyed the first night's group (The Auld Brigade), that I purchased one of their CDs as we left. Music on the 2nd Night was not as interesting. I counted at least 3 bars, all smartly stacked with beer handles and bottles of hard liquor. Yet, outside of pints, glasses of wine, and lots of whiskey, Murrays Bar had a hard time with some as simple as Gayle's favorite: Bombay Sapphire Martini Up with Olives. We asked about it a couple of ways and the waiter was certainly game to get her what she wanted, but alas that was not to be per the message from the Bar. So over our 2 dinners, our collective choices (4 of us) were pints of Murphy's Stout, an O'Hara's Pale Ale, a Hop House Beer, Gayle's Chardonnay, and a Whiskey Sour. In the food department, Murray's Fish and Chips might be one of the best we've enjoyed during our trip to Ireland. All 4 of us ordered that on our second visit, while only half of us did son on the first night. I guess I'm the only smashed peas fan, but that's a minor point. Burgers filled out the Menu on our first visit, which were pretty darn good too. Table service was great both nights, with special kudos to the guy trying to with Gayle's failed Martini order.
