    Tiger Prawn Risott

Found it on Yelp, it was identified as seafood restaurant and to our surprise, main entrees were all meat dishes, hardly any seafood. Feminine themed portraits and paintings of well known figures on the wall, including Marilyn Monroe. A small busy neighborhood restaurant, cozy and friendly atmosphere, great service and good food. The prices were moderate. We ordered: 3*Soup of the day: celeriac soup was light and good. 5*Tiger Prawn Risotto-Chilli, Roasted Red Peppers Soft Herbs and Parmesan: generous portion with lots of prawns. Fresh and tasty. 3*Chargrilled Pork Chop on the Bone-Hasselback New Baby Potatoes, Braised Savoy Cabbage, Leek and Mustard Sauce: very good gravy. Portion was big. Cabbage was tasty. Good food but nothing fancy. 3*Rump of Lamb-Dauphinoise Potatoes, Broccoli, Parsnip Puree, Charred Baby Leek, Red Wine Jus: per normal. I would order it again, but nothing special. 4*Black Forest Chocolate Mousse, Honeycomb, Chantilly Cream: pretty good. 4*Selection of Irish Cheeses, Crackers, Chutney Grapes and Apples: liked the arrangement.

Chicken, and Mushroom Risotto dinner! Also had the vegetable soup for staters....all EXCELLENT!

Visiting from the U.S. came across a cute, quaint little eatery. Absolutely worth the stop. Great service, great food, and great ambiance! Enjoyed every second, and our server, Filip, just rounded out the meal! Make sure to swing on in and enjoy the BEST Ireland has to offer! Thank you "The Little Kitchen" for a fantastic experience!

This is a wonderful small restaurant! You definitely need a reservation. We did the early bird two course and the EB three course. The selections were fabulous and the servings were large. Service was outstanding. The chocolate mousse is a must!

"Goats" cheese, beet, pear, tomato, pesto and balsamic salad. Super fresh and amazing combination of flavors!!!

The cutest, coziest and romantic place I have EVER come to in Dublin after my 40+ years of coming here. Anita is so inviting and is very inviting. Such great service!!! I love this place and it is a reason to come back to Dublin!! You all know I don't give five stars often. You need to come here!!!! Also it is in a super cool part of town that everyone should venture to. On top of everything, the music is playful and upbeat and not too loud so you can enjoy conversations and feel the vibe.

A little underwhelming for me. Had the prawn risotto and the ribeye. Risotto was not creamy, and the sides with the ribeye were French fries and dressed greens. While steak was good quality, it should be served with much better accompaniments. Would not recommend.

Delicious food- my husband and I were impressed. I had the salad for the starter, the risotto for the main and the chocolate cake for dessert. My husband had the seafood. Great food and we were served pretty quickly. Great neighbourhood find.

Cyndy's Bottom Line: A hidden gem! 5*stars for well executed dishes by Chef Mary. We found this hidden gem on Yelp and absolutely loved it! It is literally "The Little Kitchen". We read that it is BYOW so went to the Spar store which is a couple of doors away. There is a €5 corkage fee for each bottle of wine. *Intimate restaurant serving high quality food. *Friendly service

Baked shell pasta, crispy pancetta, grilled endive, bakes eggs with herbal crumble. Omg delicious!!!

Absolutely Scrumptious!!! I had the pleasure of going for brunch a few weeks ago with a friend to The Little Kitchen on a raining Saturday afternoon. The food was amazing!! I'm still dreaming about the Baked shell pasta, crispy pancetta, grilled endive, bakes eggs with herbal crumble dish. Omg scrumptious! My friend got the Gratin of Donegal smoked haddock, spinach, potato, poached eggs, chives & crispy parmesan dish, which was just as delicious. The staff was lovely. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so pleasant it made us forget about the terrible rain storm outside. I'm looking forward to next time.

Our first meal in Dublin was at The Old Mill Restaurant, right in the heart of Temple Bar. It's been serving traditional Irish fare since the 1980s and has become a favorite stop for both locals and visitors looking for classic comfort food. After about a 20-minute wait, we were seated in the warm, inviting dining room. Susan ordered the mussels, one of her favorites, while I went with the Traditional Irish Stew and my daughter chose the Braised Beef & Guinness Stew. Both were exactly what we hoped for: hearty, flavorful, and perfect after a day of sightseeing. I finally understood why the Guinness stew had such a rich, dark color, and I have to admit, I came home a big fan of Irish stew. We finished with the Homemade Bread & Butter Pudding topped with fresh cream and custard, a comforting dessert that was the perfect ending to the meal. Service, atmosphere, value, and food were all five out of five. We also enjoyed chatting with the floor manager, whose pride in the restaurant and his team was obvious. That kind of hospitality made a great meal even more memorable.

We asked about the soup flavor & they offered a taste and brought out a huge sample boat. Super cool. I got the cottage pie lunch portion, which is more than I could barely eat. It came with a boat of the sauce /and gravy and meat. Wife got the fish and chips... The fillet was longer than the plate and it came with a mountain of fries, both delicious. Daughter got the creamy vegetable soup and chips. She loved it but couldn't even finish half. All the portions were very generous, nobody finished their meal, too bad we couldn't have taken it back to our hotel. Server was great & funny. Love this place.

The restaurant is located in the city center, just a few block from our hotel near St. Stephens Green. The 4 of us previously made reservations. It was a great meal and among the best we enjoyed during our 2 week stay in various parts of Ireland. Our waitress was great, particularly when she explained the Shrimp Scampi in Ireland was breaded. We had a nice table, with a nice view of the bar and the room, and fun energy. Here's what we ordered: - Matt's Seafood Linguine (Eric) - Turbot (Gayle) - Halibut (Fern) - Porchetta (Don) We ordered a bottle of white wine for the table (Gavi Di Gavi), which Fern had heard good things about. We were not disappointed as it went well with everything (including the pork) and was enough wine for how we often drink at dinner. We finished off with 2 orders (for sharing) of Warm Chocolate Fondant. Full and happy, we ventured back into the night and to our nice hotel.

My plate had a healthy portion of both fish and chips and I even left some chips behind but one person in my group took to soaking her chips in the amazing malt vinegar provided. I had to go double duty, first splashing chips and fish with vinegar AND then going in hard on the tartar. Why leave chips behind? I ran out of tartar sauce! I made a reservation & arrived perfectly on time, just to find out ... I made the reservation for the wrong day. Fish Shop was fully booked out (& it's a small place!) so they could not accommodate me. I had to leave. I actually cried outside on the street. Gluten-free fish & chips is a big deal to me! So in 2026, I made a reservation for myself FAR in advance & made absolute certain that it was the CORRECT day. I did hold my breath just a little bit when I arrived, but I was good to go. The shop is tight - not a lot of room to move around. Unfortunately I was seated right by the door, so every time someone came in or out, I was blasted by cold air. I forgive. I ordered a skin contact Austrian wine & haddock fish & chips (gluten free, of course) & it all came out in a reasonable time. Everything was just spectacular. The fish was crispy, flaky, & perfectly done. The fries were thick & the malt vinegar was strong. The wine was weird & a perfect pairing. I really wish this spot wasn't across the ocean from me. I'll certainly be back every time I'm in the city.
