Excellent little breakfast spot (also great for lunch and dinner we're told). Friendly service and quality eats. We strolled in for a late breakfast on a weekday and were delighted with the menu options and also the welcome we received from our server. The Avocado Toast was excellent, as was the omelet and eggs on toast. Beautifully crafted coffees including a delightful Irish Coffee . Make this one of your stops for great food. You won't be disappointed!

I had never made it to The Cheese Pantry, the original name for this location. Happy to see that it's run by the same management, chefs and staff though!! Really loved the decor here, beautiful bistro feel to the place with wonderful tiles and glasswork. The staff were lovely and friendly. I ordered off the lunch menu and decided on the proper fish pie which included Hegarty's cheddar, mesculan salad and farmhouse brown bread. It was simply wonderful. As good as I've had (and I've had a few!!) Favourite restaurant for north city by far.

A great spot for on the northside. The place has a great bistro style about it with some quirky bits included. Wooden wine box walls and the tiles were a nice finish. Overall it was cosy and stylish. The perfect setting for lunch.. There was good choice on the menu. It's not cheap but reasonably priced. You pay for what you get. I decided to try the buttermilk chicken burger with tomamto on a brioche bun and my god it didn't dissapoint. In fact I'd go as far as to say it's the best chicken burger I've had! It had a lovely spice to it aswell. Accompanied by a relish, leaf salad and skinny fries not a single crumb was left on the plate (wooden board). I'm already planning my next trip back. another bonus is its close to where I live - happy days!

Nice and pretty ! We were looking for a restaurant that is half way from the airport and halfway from the city to meet friends that were leaving Dublin and this restaurant suit us well. The food is fancy and pretty, I don't feel like I am in Ireland. I really like how it was set up! You have a lot of choice on the wine list or the beer list, which is always nice. Price wasn't that cheap, but that's the price to have something a little more higher than the Irish basic food (which is good as well!).

Had some amazing bread pudding and Irish coffee here! Friendly people, relaxing atmosphere, great food.

Stopped in for lunch and we're seated promptly at a table for two. Need to mention that seating is…read moreeither high top or booth and stool seating. Stools are ok but not super comfortable. Menu has a good selection of Irish dishes from seafood chowder up to lamb stew and pies. We ordered the potato soup, seafood chowder, 'banjo' burger with onion rings. The soups arrived first and the seafood chowder was loaded with huge pieces of fish, potatoes (not many) with a creamy rich base. Flavor was incredible and in itself a full meal. Served in a large crock style bowl. The potato soup was minus any whole potatoes. It was a rich creamy base with plenty of flavor and very hearty. The burger was really a double cheeseburger with plenty of cheese, grilled onions, what appeared to be a mayonnaise based sauce on a soft hamburger roll. Really tall enough that it was tough getting your mouth around it. Very well seasoned burgers and the onions were a nice touch. The onion rings were huge and had a very light batter on them. They served in a metal bowl to keep them hot. For dessert the apple crumble was ordered which was served in a large dish with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This could have been warmer but still was good.. The 5 star rating is for the chowder as it outshone the rest of the meal although the burger was definitely a close second. Definitely will return to try other dishes when we come back to the city.

Quick review for a quick lunch stop. We shared an Irish Lamb Stew: meat and vegetables in gravy…read morewith a layer of mash(ed potatoes) on top. The meat and veggies were plentiful, the portion generous, and it was tasty enough but maybe on the bland side? It was served with a side of braised red cabbage which we really liked: sweet but not sour like pickled cabbage. And house-made brown stout bread, also very good. The wife had a Guinness and I, thinking it too cliché to order Guinness as a tourist in Ireland, tried a different stout whose name I've forgotten from the ample selection. But comparing the two, so much better! The menu offers a wide variety of traditional Irish dishes, more than most of the similar pubs in the area. As well as the other expected pub type food: sandwiches, burgers, etc. As for desserts, if we were hungrier, the wife might have ordered the Irish Whiskey Bread & Butter Pudding. The hubby would probably get his dessert later, as the selection was limited and neither that nor the Apple Crumble appealed. Sitting at the bar we had a more personalized experience than were we at a table. The bartender offered to take a photo of me behind the bar which I of course accepted. We made the right choice in coming here.

The ambience is trad Irish at bar with a very modern menu. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Roisin greeted us at the door and was super helpful making out choices for dinner. Though the patrons are packed in, the sound level was comfortable for conversation and tucked in the corner we had more room than most anyone else. The food was superb. There a Cajun influence to the chef's palate. The seafood chowder is a red chowder, a little spicy, and light. It's of course chock full of fish. The corn bread served with the soup is unique. I asked and the chef flavors the bread with Cajun spices. It's excellent. My wife chose the goats cheese salad. The pastry they held the salad and cheese was so delicate. Our entrees included the beef that melted in your mouth. It's served rare and it's totally tender. The sea bass was also excellent. It's served of the bone with mussels, brocholini in a curry based sauce. It was a very generous portion. The potatoes served with the dishes were great. My wife had a tawny port and I chose the cider-see pic. It was delicious and refreshing. We didn't enjoy dessert and so I can't comment. I highly recommend this place!
