    Salad bowl

Nice little cafe with open air seating and several small tables. Both guys were very pleasant, I had the salad bowl which includes 6 toppings and oil & vinegar dressing. It was super fresh and good & only €7

    Cutest little spot!

So glad my husband and I found this gem! I am gluten free, and have celiac, so I really wanted to have a good breakfast place. The staff at Lovinspoon completely took care of me and went above and beyond with precautions once I told them I had celiac. I was able to have a gluten free Irish breakfast including their delicious handmade gluten free bread. My non-gf husband also had an Irish breakfast. We were so stuffed that we didn't eat until dinner! Super cute little spot with excellent food and lattes. We will return every time we are in Dublin!

As usual, when I am traveling, I turned to Yelp to help me find great places to eat. And as usual, Yelp Nation steered me right. This place is very small and the staff is super friendly . I ordered a three egg omelette, which comes with your choice of three fillings, but you can add more if you want to for a small extra charge. The omelette was great and I could only eat 2/3 of it so I have lunch later. When I was ordering, Michael, the owner asked me if I wanted toast with my omelette. I asked if they had some wheat bread, and he said "No, you want our homemade soda bread". I said "OK". He was correct to steer me to their homemade soda bread. The toasted soda bread was very very good. I didn't have any coffee or cappuccino but from the number of people that stopped in and took some to go. It must be a good place for coffee and I'm sure their salads at lunch are great. I'm only here for one day and my flight leaves early tomorrow,so I won't be able to go back for breakfast. But I could eat here every day for a week and be happy knowing that I won't find a better breakfast in Dublin. You sit at tables, but order at the counter that has all the fillings for omelettes and salads. They offer a full Irish Breakfast for the people that want to eat the traditional breakfast of Ireland. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. If you want cheap, go to Burger King, or McDonald's, both of which are 6 blocks down the street. As a person with 2,000,000 miles of travel, who lives in hotels and restaurants, I can highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. If you're in Dublin and anywhere near this place, trust me...come here for breakfast

Easy to miss, small restaurant, but don't skip by this spot. Great breakfast joint. Wife and I both had omelettes...fluffy and tasty. Get the house-made bread!

Lovely breakfast spot! As a tourist I wanted a traditional Irish breakfast. The service and food was terrific! I definitely recommend this place.

The Lovinspoon is only an 8-minute walk from major hotels on O'Connell. The food is very tasty, typical, open-choice, not pre-packaged deals. I had a 3-egg omelet, Irish soda bread, scone butter and jelly, 2 lattes -all for 18 Euros. So, prices are very competitive with hotels for superior food. Service to the table (unlike major hotels). The soft jazzy saxophone and contemporary not stereotypical music is great for breakfast. Michael is a delight, serviable, amiable eye candy. Frequented by locals with a splattering of visitors. All-in-all, my first choice for breakfast in Dublin when I return.

    Irish breakfast! Regular size

After traveling through Galway and Cork, I was saving Dublin for last. I wanted to experience a full Irish breakfast and was glad I chose Lovinspoon! It was pretty empty mid-day but service was very friendly and I liked the casual cafe atmosphere. If you're like me - where your eyes are sometimes bigger than your stomach - this place is for you! They had smaller AND larger portion options for the Irish breakfast. My boyfriend decided to get a tuna melt (idk why) but he enjoyed that and his latte. I ordered the regular size Irish breakfast to share but it was still super filling and I enjoyed each component. It was shockingly cheap compared to other prices we'd see around the country. Highly recommend if you're looking for a reasonably-priced meal or specifically, Irish breakfast, while in Dublin!

    Lattes!

After dropping our bags at our hotel, we ran thru the rain to Lovinspoon. As soon as we entered we were met with kindness (and napkins to help us dry off). We ordered the small breakfast and lattes and it was AMAZING! The staff was so sweet and fun, and we felt so welcomed. Great prices, lovely people, amazing food.

Super fast service! Casual spot with a festive and upbeat atmosphere and a pretty diverse crowd. Great options for vegetarians and meat eaters. They also have a really good gluten free bread which sort of reminded me of irish soda bread.

Delicious breakfast platters for affordable prices!

The space is rather small, as most coffee shops are, and the prices are a bit up there, but all the coffee they make holds its own against some of the best- no Starbucks quality here- and the food is amazing. Speaking of, if you haven't tried their hotcakes slathered with berries, compote, and some of the most decadent whipped cream you've ever tasted, you haven't lived life to the fullest. It was so sweet, it was almost too much for me to finish, but I won't complain about such a delicious sugar rush this early in the morning. If you're not the "dessert for breakfast" type, they also have your typical avocado toast- don't ask me why that's a thing here, too- eggs, breakfast meats, and of course, porridge. Or, if you're not the breakfast type, they do have some bomb-looking pastries available all day, every day, including vegan options. These guys must also be pretty well-established given that they have merch available for purchase, on top of their perishables. And really, the coffee here is amazeballs. If you come for nothing else, come for that.

The cafe is very pretty, with plenty of different art pieces and decor hanging on the walls and cool furniture. It's quite small inside, with maybe a little more than 10 tables. If it's nice, you can also opt to sit on the small patio. It was a bit chilly when we were in the city, so we decided to sit inside. They have a small menu - you get to choose from a few variations of the Irish breakfast, scones, and breakfast sandwiches. My friend and I both got bacon breakfast sandwiches with the hashbrown and split a plain scone with butter and jam. We were both surprised at how large the scone was and were glad we ended up just sharing one. Even between the both of us we couldn't finish it. The breakfast sandwich was rather large as well and very filling - it hit the spot perfectly! We also got lattes which did the trick of waking us right up! The service seemed very rushed and scattered, but honestly we didn't really mind. We got our food very quickly, so we were in a great mood and left with happy bellies. I came in pretty early at 10am and there was no one there, yet (more crowds came in shortly after). It was solely manned by one cook in the open kitchen, and one host/server. Since this was my first meal in Dublin, I obviously opted for the best of the best, the goliath of breakfasts, if you will. The Mega Irish breakfast (€9.90) came with 2 over-medium eggs, 2 sausages, 2 slices of bacon, 2 hash browns, 2 black pudding thingies (sorry I'm such an ignorant American...), half a tomato, cup of beans, and 4 slices of toast. Wow. I somehow managed to finish the whole thing, and mega it was. I skipped lunch due to the sheer amount of food. The highlight was the sausage - they were plump, super juicy and very flavorful. The coffee(€2.50) which I always drink black, was also pretty good. The cost was so reasonable given the sheer amount of food. The restaurant itself is pretty artsy (ha), with some nice work on the walls and an eclectic hodge podge of furniture. Definitely check out if you're staying nearby!

I walked in on a Wednesday morning, right as they opened at 9am, and was seated immediately. The sit-in part of Brother Hubbard is bright, relaxing, spacious with plenty of tables inside and there's a patio outside with plenty of tables as well. The waitress came over with a menu and gave me plenty of time to look it over. She was very courteous and pleasant, checking in throughout my time there, never hovering. For breakfast, I ordered an Americano, a ginger scone, and their Irish Oat Porridge - Classic. Their porridge is organic oats made with milk and with ordering it as "Classic", it was served with cream and honey. Starting with the ginger scone, this was another case of a perfectly baked scone - Crispy, golden exterior with a moist, buttery interior. The flavor of ginger was perfectly balanced and the raisins inside were a nice supplement to the scone. The porridge was really good, I loved the creaminess of it! Both did a nice job of filling me up and setting me up for the day of walking to come. Funny enough, around 3:30pm, I stopped here again to grab a mid-afternoon treat and ordered the chocolate and hazelnut Babka, their soft bun filled with chocolate and toasted hazelnuts. This pastry was crazy tasty! A slightly crispy exterior with a croissant-like inside chocked full of chocolate and those toasted hazelnuts. This was so rich and truly decadent. I even saw the owner who was featured on the show here, helping out with clearing tables and so forth. I ordered the traditional Irish breakfast and an iced chai latte. The food was good and actually, not as heavy as I anticipated. It came with an egg, sausage, bacon, beans and a pudding, which I had to look up. It's ground meat with oats and is molded into a patty.
