Very good very nice would prefer crab with maybe some rice. Jk without rice is still good.

Staff of younger employees shows signs of hope for tomorrow's leaders. While dealing with an overwhelming demand they remain calm, collected, and courteous in the face of adversity. As a new resident I've observed them deal with complicated customers in a professional manner and not let it affect others in wait. The food was top notch and left me extremely satisfied. The professionalism of their young staff will keep me coming back. Thank you.

Out with summer and in with fall. Excellent Crabs and king crab legs. Pumpkin beer.

This was our 2nd time to Harpers Waterfront - this time for lunch - and, I am sad to say, that it…read moredid not live up to the level of satisfaction that I got the 1st time I was there for dinner. Maybe they step it up for the evening meal, I don't know. But there was just something about the meal that did not hit the same bar. We went there in the early afternoon. The bar was surprisingly crowded while the dining room was mostly empty, maybe 4 or 5 tables were full. There were even people sitting outside on the deck. We both ordered the same darn meal: cream of crab soup and the crab cake sandwich. Of course, our plates looked exactly the same and - also of course - we had the same reaction to the dishes. The cream of crab soup was "meh." The broth was nicely thick but its flavor was a bit too robust for something with crab in it. The soup just about overwhelmed the crab meat. Too much seasoning, too much spice, just too much. It also lacked a large amount of crab meat in it. The serving was large, served in a bowl that was almost as big as my head but filled only halfway (thank God). Suffice it to say that the cream of crab soup is not the reason to go to this restaurant. The crab cakes were better than the soup but only marginally. There was a whole lot of filler in there and the crab mix was not thoroughly mixed up. One bite had a lot of crab, the next bite was all filler, the next was a mixture of the 2 - someone just did not take the time and effort to fully combine the ingredients well. Don't get me wrong, the crab cake was good, just not great. But the biggest downfall of this dish was the bun. The bun was much too big. It overwhelmed the crab cake; too much bread. Both my spouse and I took the crab cake off the bun and ate it naked. It was better that way. The best part of Harpers Waterfront is its location. The waterfront view is delightful and relaxing and pretty. The dining room is very nicely decorated and there is plenty of room between the tables. It is not a chain restaurant and that is a good thing too - you can tell that the owners have put a lot of great thought into the atmosphere and the "look" of the restaurant. Even the men's room is nicely furnished. The dining room is sophisticated yet natural and relaxed. The location on Turkey Point is a little secluded which makes you feel like you have happened upon a secret little place not known by many people. That is a plus here. Do I recommend Harpers Waterfront? Yes I do. It is a very nice place to have a meal. Ok so maybe the food can be improved but it is still a nice place. The location and the atmosphere alone is enough to bring me back here.

The clams app was in an overly salted broth that burned the taste buds. The Nashville chicken sandwich tasted like the Texas Petes was used again and not coated in a sweet honey Nashville heat that was expected. Someone is not watching the kitchen. The service and view were excellent.

The hush puppies were the star of the show!…read more Went here with family and ordered the stuffed potato skins which were good but for $17, I expected at least 6 . They're good but you only get 4. Stuffed with shrimp, scallop and crab with imperial sauce. As for the platter, the crab cake was delicious and the scallops a close second. You get 1 crab cakes, 2 scallops, 3 shrimp and a white flaky fish called orange roughy. The was the least seasoned fish I've had in a while. You'll at minimum need to add salt. It kind of ruined the platter for me but given the price, I ate everything lol. After finishing up I ordered some hush puppies intended for later but they barely made it into the box. I highly recommend giving them a try. They're moist with pieces of corn and come with a honey cinnamon whipped butter. A nice sweet snack or dessert even. Those were $8. What sucks is they don't do any side substitutions. The platter comes with a salad, potato or fries. I didn't want the side but couldn't sub for the hush puppies. We sat outside on the deck near the water and service was better than the last time. We made it right before the vending rush- Got there around 5pm. It was packed on our way out. Bonus we got to see baby jellyfish in the dirty water lol. Spoiler alert: I had massive gastro issues shortly after :(. Which is crazy bc when I inquired about the salad and cyclosporiasis they said they didn't have it in MD. Not saying they do but something there gave me severe bubble guts. :(

We went around 7:30, after the happy hour crowd had cleared out, and there was plenty of seating…read moreavailable. We were seated at a table by the window, and the marina view at sunset was great. We started with drinks, a dozen oysters, and half a dozen clams on the half shell. The oysters and clams were smaller than we expected, but they were fresh and delicious. The drinks were good and definitely heavy pours, which we appreciated. Next, we had the PEI Mussels with saffron cream sauce. Most of the mussels were really good, although a few were overcooked. We also tried the Golden Miso Sablefish with wasabi mashed potatoes and charred baby bok choy. The fish was okay but a little bland when eaten by itself. I think it was intended to be eaten with the wasabi mashed potatoes, which helped give it more flavor. We do not normally order fries, but the truffle fries looked good, so we decided to try them. They were crunchy, well seasoned, and delicious. We ended up eating the entire order. The inside of the restaurant was nice, and most of the dining area was quiet enough for us to have a conversation without raising our voices. The bar area seemed livelier, but it did not make the rest of the restaurant feel loud. Overall, we had a very good dinner. The view, drinks, oysters, clams, and truffle fries were the highlights. The mussels and sablefish were not quite as consistent, but we still enjoyed the experience and would come back.

We had to send two meals back and they comped us for one. The food took forever to come out, due to a party downstairs. Two of us ordered salad and it came out with the meal. The waitress said I'm sorry I thought that's what you wanted!!!! Then a server spilled a beer on my friend's head getting it off the tray after delivering two drinks. They gave her 20% off-big deal! The food is not that good for the high prices. I won't be returning to this restaurant again! There is better and less expensive food in Annapolis.
