Came to Jerry's last night with another couple around 5. We've been here a few other times. It was packed as expected on a Sunday. We made a reservation at the front with a 30 min wait. Their main dining area is nothing too fancy. The service was good. They are known for their Crab Bombs This is a huge broiled crab cake. They are a bit pricey but they are delicious. I also love their Cream of Crab soup. It has such a good taste to it with a nice little kick. I would recommend coming here but be prepared for a short wait and a little higher priced, but quality meal. read more

This was my 1st time eating inside, and I must say it was very nice. Our waitress time was almost true to what was told by hostess. I have ordered take-out from them several times, and have always enjoyed my meals. I ordered the crab bomb, coleslaw, and baked potato. My crab bomb had a real fishy taste to it, as if it had been sitting with fresh fish. Still good, but just a strong fishy taste, a little disappointed. Coleslaw was amazing definitely recommend. And you can never go wrong with a baked potato. Forgot to mention our appetizers were Beer Battered shrimp and crab dip. I LOVE seafood, was hungry, and I couldn't wait to look at the menu and start grubbing. So I started with a cup of she crab soup which was really thick, creamy, and had a nice amount of crab inside and on top of the soup. The only thing I would say it really needed more seasoning either salt or more old bay to liven it up. The steamed shrimp was seasoned perfectly and tasted so fresh. I saw in the corner a bar and was told it was fresh shucked oysters so I opted to get half a dozen. And the crazy part I really never liked raw oysters...but they have changed my mind because of how fresh they were with the horseradish and cocktail sauce...so good! I also ordered to go the famous crab bomb, green beans, and baked potato. I also got the sweet potato cake to go and when I tell you that cake was thicker than a snicker! As always this Mother's Day every restaurant including Jerry's were busy. I decided to stop by and order my wife a Crab Bomb Togo. Well, the take out pickup line was long from online orders. We were in the area and did a carryout order - you just whip your way around the restaurant, and there is a white tent that's set up near the entrance - you can also place to-go orders in person, if you wish! The Crab Bomb sometimes has good seasoning, but it's inconsistent - sometimes it can be bland; it is also more on the 'wet' side, where it seems like it's the amount of mayo that they use. The sides, such as the potato wedges (piping out and crispy!) and the coleslaw (had a nice sweetness to it), were both tasty! Avoid the crab dip - this had positive reviews, but the only plus was the sliced baguettes that were slightly toasted and thin; the dip was basically just cream cheese with some jumbo lump crab pieces on top. There was no flavor whatsoever and was super disappointing. Don't sleep on their sweet tea - we purchased an order, and ended up getting 2 more orders in. The portion sizes are generous, which I feel is a dying art in most establishments. The service is solid - we always receive warm and prompt attention. I hadn't been to Jerry's in several years and wanted to try the crab bomb since i've never had it. I was so disappointed. It did have lump crabmeat and plenty of it but it didn't taste like anything. All that 10 ounces crab cake was flavorless and needed several shakes of old bay seasoning. It also needed more color. The crab soup use to be good and that also tasted like nothing. This dish is a massive ball of 10 ounces of fresh, handpicked jumbo lump crab meat, triple-yolk mayonnaise, and a hint of Old Bay! No filler!! This dish is all about letting the crab shine and it does that on its own with no added sauces or fixings need. We tried the crab cakes, both broiled, fried, and even as a variation called the Firecracker Crab Bomb. The firecracker crab bomb was really good and a highlight. The added cracked pepper and spice gave it an extra kick that we all enjoyed. Please note: the crab bomb dish is a lot of crab meat. I recommend getting the smaller, regular portions though. I am a hearty eater and the size-portion was more than enough. I was quite full after eating it. lol. To compliment your entrée, there are many side dishes to choose from. But, out of all of the sides, I recommend the apple sauce as a side. I know that sounds weird as something to eat as a side with seafood but trust me, it works and is delicious! They add the usual cinnamon but they also add a touch of vanilla that elevates such a simple side-- snack. There was also a dish called the Mariners Seafood Platter -- which contained fried fish, fried scallops, fried shrimp, old bay shrimp, a crabcake and fried oysters! This dish was my favorite, and I gave it a double thumbs up!! The portions are definitely enough to share. In all, the atmosphere and vibe of Jerry's is perfect for small intimate dates to large groups and parties. There is a large dining area and bar that stayed busy. It's sort of like the hangout spot as a comparison to the rest of the restaurant. I can definitely see the bar as "the place to be" during football season, especially if there is a Commanders game going on. I had a disappointing experience at Jerry's Seafood. From the moment I walked in, the tone was off. The host was far from welcoming--chewing gum while speaking, visibly disengaged, and lacking even basic professionalism. First impressions matter, and this one missed the mark completely. The atmosphere didn't help either. The place was overwhelmingly noisy--less "lively seafood spot" and more chaotic and distracting. It made it difficult to relax, hold a conversation, or enjoy the meal in any meaningful way. There's a difference between energy and disorder, and this leaned heavily toward the latter.
