Date of service: 2.3.24 Ambiance: Not any real ambiance. Decor is themed in a fisherman's setting (nets & anchors etc) I do like that they have more booths than tables but this poses a problem if you're coming with a large party. Service: We had a very nice young lady as our server. Very accommodating from the start. There were a few things that we noticed our service lacked towards the end that I believe had to do with the fact that we weren't ordering anymore drinks, like the other tables. Which we would have if we weren't just ok with what we were served thus far. I never received the bib she was supposed to bring me so I just made one with the paper towels. All in all it wasn't a bad experience with her. We did leave her a $20 tip Food: This place has changed TREMENDOUSLY. I can see why they are trying everything to drum up business. I ordered an original flavor crafty crab seasoning mild. When I got it, it was bland and not much sauce at all to try and dip my seafood in. Added bonus: they also had karaoke here and the music was so loud that we could not hear each other talk. It seems to be turning into a lounge now.

Had taste for some good ol seafood. Didn't feel like making the drive the Captain Whites so Crafty Crab will do. Excellent choice might I add! Since removing my braces I can enjoy corn on the cob! My seafood was excellent...fresh and I opted for the Boom sauce with medium heat. It was season just right. I also ordered hush puppies, shrimp basket and some lemon pepper wings!! The wings were perfect! And not salty at all. I was a little nervous there but surprisingly impressed. Only thing that was missing was some good ol sweet potato fries, but they were out of those ;((( & still hit a 5 stars rating because our server was top notch! **people will always remember how you make them feel...*** I love a good waiter/waitress who actually enjoys their job and has awesome personality. Our waitress was awesome! Awesome service, delicious seafood...& I won't have to cook tonight because my hunnies going to enjoy these left overs! Sounds like an all around WIN to me! Happy Yelping!

I really don't understand why this location is scoring bad points. The food was great !! The price is reasonable!! The location was nice. The ambiance was cool. The flavors was on point. And they even have specials (ask about them) Also it's not overly crowded and the music selection is nice. If I could say one thing that needs improvement is training the waiters on the importance of customer service. I was a little frustrated with my my waiter . The fact I could never find him when I needed things. And when I was ready to pay my bill he was gone for an extended amount of time.

If you've never ever had "a boil" this is a good place to try one. However, it is not at all the best...it's good, but not "smack your mama good". I guarantee you can make your own at home and it will be just as good if not better. And it will probably be better. We also ordered fires and hush puppies. They were both mediocre at best...not bad, not good, just a little okay. The bog question is was it worth what I paid? I'm glad you asked, it was. The food was priced right and the portions were generous. Question 2, will I go back despite all I said above? Yes, yes I would. I didn't try everything on the menu so I would go back but I'm not rushing to get there. It will happen when it happens. Last, the young man that helped me was good with his service, just like the food he wasn't great nor was he bad. He just got the job done. Until next time. For now I'll stay "crabby" and hope for a better tasteful experience next time.

It used to be a good place to chill! Food but specially the service are getting terrible every time. We went to celebrate a birthday, we remained our waitress to bring stuffs more than twice and she completely forget to bring my dessert. The only times that she and another waiter showed up to the table frequently, was to ask if we need the check, it felt like they were pushing us lo leave the place.

Tiami was our server and she was amazing . The food was cooked really well and the service was quick. I had lunch with a friend here at 2pm and we were sat within minutes, the restaurant was not Crowded a had a handful of couples dining at the same time . My friend had coupon from the mail which was honored . Taimi did inform us of their specials. Happy Hour starts at 3pm and end at 8pm . I had order the fried calamari which was a decent amount for $10 and then my main Entree was the Autumn Special for $34.99 with the Hot Seasoning . The boil was hot and very well distributed I highly recommend it . The food did not disappoint and I will be returning sooner rather than later

They've had just a few full days of operation, but I was lucky enough to get there early so I can give my two cents! So, PG County has had two big cajun seafood chains (that I'm aware of): Hook N Reel & BeClaws. So I was wondering what it would be like in this place. Well... it was kind of dark. All of the blinds were closed! As beautiful of a day as it was, they should've been open, but it wasn't a dealbreaker haha. There were lights, but not many. Not really a complaint, just an observation. So, the service was totally on point. We were checked on regularly and the stadd were super kind and professional. I decided to get fried tilapia and sweet potato fries. My friend got gumbo and scallops. I will say that my tilapia was delicious... the breading was not excessive, and the seasoning was present, though it didn't perk my taste buds as much as I expected it to. The way it was made was how I'd imagine myself making it (fried, but not enough seasoning to make it seem too salty). The highlight was the sauce I chose to have on the side with the tilapia. They have their cajun, a medium, and a spicy... but also a "Boom" sauce. The Boom sauce was BOMB. I used it for the fish and for the fries! All in all, I enjoyed my food, prices weren't bad, and I left satisfied --- but it didn't really stand out... yet. I don't even think they have alcohol yet, but they do have a bar, so I imagine it's coming soon. Hope this place does well!

Worth every single penny, and the waitress also made sure that we were comfortable. The Pick 3 for $39.99 is an excellent deal. ***This also looks like a place that stalkers would NOT be welcome. Jerry's Seafood is located in Bowie near the Bowie Town Center and there was ample parking. We came in and were shown to our table. The ambiance was minimalistic Cap Cod vibes with wood beam walls with touches of nautical items (ship wheels and pictures of tin-canned oyster containers). Our server, Eddie, was excellent. He was engaging, informative, and just had a wonderful vibe throughout our dining experience. He started us off with a basket of rolls: hot and fresh with softened butter. Our meal was starting off just as we'd hope. We started with the fresh crab dip which was rich and creamy topped with jumbo lump crab, chives and a touch of Old Bay served hot with a sliced baguette. This was my first time experiencing a crab dip so LIGHT and creamy. The Old Bay was not overwhelming, just the perfect compliment to the fresh, sweet jumbo lump crab. The baguettes were more than enough and were crisp on one side and soft on the other. This dip was exceptional. Next was our entree, the crab bomb was served with two sides ( we got the seasoned wedges and stewed tomatoes). The stewed tomatoes were fresh with a sweetness that brought back memories. The wedges were perfect: pillowy soft inside with a crisp seasoned coating. Now the crab bomb....this was exceptional: 10 ounces of all lump crab, baked to perfection; no need for additional seasonings or even a sauce; maybe a squeeze of fresh lemon. It was so sweet and delicate; one of the best I have had in a while. We also got a Mariner's Platter to go: a six ounce crab cake, flounder, fried shrimp, steamed shrimp, fried oysters, and fries scallops with two sides ( we chose two garden salads). The platter was a bit skimpy for $63 and it was just okay for us; the scallops were not edible AT ALL: they had a metallic taste that was present on the first bite, that was disappointing (this dropped our score from a 5 to 4 stars). The salads were fresh and we got the honey/lemon dressing. That dressing was SO good! I usually don't go for creamy dressing like this, BUT this dressing was so unexpectedly good! All in all, a great meal that I will drive to Bowie again for with no hesitation (except for the Mariner's Platter).

Yo girl been trying to eat a little healthier and was looking for some baked or grill fish. This restaurant did deliver. The grill tilapia and broccoli was pretty good. The portion size was on point. My son wanted their crab cake burger which I had to taste and it was delicious. They offer mumbo sauce with their fries and it is banging. Got a nice little kick to it. The corn on the cob is so so. Its not bad but I just had better. Its too greasy for corn on the cob too. So confused about that. Any who, I spent $40 for everything which was reasonable for 2 meals. I will definitely be back to try other menu items. The cashiers here are super friendly which is always appreciated because its seems like people are losing basic manners. So thanks ladies for your kindness it didnt go unnoticed. Would I recommend this restaurant, yeah I would. Its not spectacular but its pretty good and you get enough food for the price. There are surprising number of chicken options here for a place called, "This Is Seafood", but not quite as many seafood options as I hoped. I was really looking forward to getting an order of fried scallops for lunch and I was a little disappointed they didn't have them on the menu. I decided to get the Combo #4: 3 whole wings, 6 fried shrimp, and my choice of 1 piece of fish and side dish. For my fish, I chose fried catfish and for my side I chose hush puppies. The combo also came with a fountain drink. I decided to mix their house-made lemonade and house-made iced tea and it made the perfect half-and-half. The wait wasn't too bad, as the food was being freshly made. It was piping hot and crispy when I received it. Those shrimp were huge! Some of the biggest fried shrimp I've ever had...And not those butterfly shrimp either. Whole shrimp, and the tail was removed so I didn't have to worry about accidentally crunching on one of the shells. The catfish was delectable! Perfectly seasoned, delightfully crispy, and absolutely melted in my mouth. So good. I'm coming back for the catfish if nothing else. The wings were perfectly fried, nice and crispy, but they were a bit too light on the seasoning for my taste. And the mumbo sauce tasted too similar to barbecue sauce. I did not like that, so I ended up saving the rest of the wings until I got home to put my own mumbo sauce on them. The hush puppies were also really good. I like that they were fried perfectly and weren't greasy... Even after reheating them. Overall, my lunch cost me about $25 and it was enough food for at least two meals. Can't beat that. I'll be back for that catfish.

For some reason, we had nostalgic memories of this place, but it turns out that we pretty much had the same exact three-star experience. We just really wanted to bring our daughter back here since this spot in America plays a significant role in family lore. Unbelievably, it was raining again, but we waited for a table right by two windows, so water vibes were good. We got a couple local beers and while our server was nice, she also had a bit of an unceremonious manner that took us off guard. Not her fault, but we were total idiots and ordered the medium crabs. Why? WHY?! They are impossible to pick! And we even mentioned in our previous review the merits of ordering the jumbo ones to make life easy. Amateur hour!! We did order a few other crab-themed dishes, which made the meal more pleasant. The imperial crab was only OK, but the crab cakes were really something special. We got one fried and one broiled, and we would definitely recommend the latter. There was so much fresh crab and neither of them were greasy. As far as sides, the veggies were drowning in butter, and the corn on the cob tasted like it was cooked in a microwave. Fries were decent and the hush puppies weren't bad, but you know those came right out of a Sysco freezer bag. We got those nutter butter ice cream cone things again and they were terrible. The shell is hard as a rock and so is the flavorless vanilla ice cream underneath while the cone is rubbery soft. Quite the feat. Despite the ups and downs of the cuisine here, we had a really pleasant time as a family, and this place will always hold a soft (shell crab) spot in our hearts. While it's doubtful that we'll be back again, we're glad that we gave it a second go. Just remember: never order medium crabs!
