This is the most jumping crab spot I've been to in the DMV . There's a live Dj and a room full of people. There is a security guard at the door checking ID's upon entry. The food was pretty good and the drinks were ok. There were people playing card games here like it was the VFW but they were having fun and it was no drama so that's a plus. Came here very spontaneously on a Friday for a drink with someone I met. Honestly, I have reached the point where I feel like any location with the word "crab" in the name in PG County is pretty much the same. Strong drinks - hit and miss in terms of flavor, but I was buzzed after two and they are very decently priced. Service: sort of all over the place. They can be a bit slow, but for the most part, everyone is nice. Food: I only had the calamari. It was actually very good and very fresh tasting. I appreciated this. I did not appreciate that. They only had Pepsi products. Ew. But that's a personal preference. Lol Bathrooms: Clean enough to use but def needed some TLC. Not one of those ones you walk into and immediately walk out of, knowing that you'll wait until you get home. But not great. The clientele: WOW. WHAT A MIX. While I was there, this girl threw up at the table, but continued to drink her drink. It was so disgusting. You can tell this is probably a very local hangout spot. I stopped by on a Friday for happy hour. I ordered mini crab cakes which was actually 8 crab balls they were decent. I ordered oysters Rockefeller and for $25 I received 5, it wasn't worth $25 I had better before for a cheaper price. I did try a strawberry coronita , my first time and it was good. I came here last night for a quick bite to eat and a drink. I was very pleased with the service and food. The calamari was ok but the honey shrimp was great. I like that is was enough food for me and my date and we literally talked for a few hours. The old heads were singing karaoke and vybjn and I appreciated seeing people of color around their own having a good time. There was a table of three guys next to me and my date and they were cool no dirty looks no wanna be hard energy and me and my date were still able to have an intimate app and drinks date. So I would def come here again I also like how every server who passed our table checked on us through out our dinner. Came here for lunch as it opened. Ordered old bay wings, and a catfish po boy on one order, the other was a boil bag and a land and sea taco. Our server was okay, but i think the service could have been much better. The serve brought the complete orders out one at a time ( first boil bag and taco.....then 5 mins later the wings and the po boy together). Not good...The food...the boil bag and the taco were good, but the other items lack seasoning and weren't cooked pro. The wings were fried til the were dead (hard, dry and dead). Hardly any seasoning on the wings and did i mention they were hard and dry? The po boy sandwich was the total opposite. The fish was lightly fried. Once the sandwich sauce was added to it.....the coating turned to mush in the sandwich....not pleasing. The atmosphere in the restaurant made me feel like I was in a club. Every other song was a type of trap music.....and the left the cursing and language in the songs.....definitely not my type of atmosphere for eating food....maybe if I came to party or even just to drink,but the wrong type of music for this type of environment. I'm writing this through tears and fear. My mother became violently ill after eating from C Crab, and she has now been in the hospital for three days with severe food poisoning. She's barely responsive. This has been a nightmare I wouldn't wish on anyone. We never expected a meal to turn into a medical emergency. I don't know what went wrong with the food that night, but the consequences have been devastating. My family is terrified, and we are still praying for her recovery. This isn't just about bad service or a disappointing dish. It's about accountability for food safety. Please take this seriously--for the health and safety of others. C- Crab is a fairly new restaurant! It's very spacious and not crowded at all. They have happy hour Monday-Friday from 3-6pm. It was not a lot of people in there when I came so there service was pretty quick! The seafood boil was decent! The sauce isn't the best I've ever had, but it still did a little something. I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. As we all know, seafood boil establishments are on the rise soo why not try this one. Though nicely decorated and a very large bar area, I wasn't very enthused with my boil. They don't offer whole shrimp with the head on and they give you a whole sausage instead of cutting them up into smaller pieces. The sausage itself was too soft for my liking. Also I asked for spice level "Fire" but it was pretty mild. The hush puppies were my favorite. Despite my recent experience, I'd be open to coming back to experience the happy hour ambiance. read more

I met some friends for a late dinner. The interior is smartly designed in nautical fashion. It's larger than I expected. They have some nice music playing. I order a specialty drink, I forget the name of it, but it was really good. I know it had passion fruit in it. To eat, I ordered a cup of crab soup and a fried shrimp taco. The soup was very rich and filling. The taco was delicious. Others in my party ordered the grilled shrimp taco, and the steak taco was delicious. The steak was well seasoned. Our server seemed a little overwhelmed with our group of eight. Overall, I will definitely return to try some other menu options. I was just a little caught off guard by the $15 charge for my drink. We choose this seafood place because bags are all the rave so when a new place pops up, we like to see how they measure up. We entered and just missed the happy hour but noticed that 3pm-6pm is the time to come or if you are military, they offer a discount on Wednesday only. Now about the food. We each ordered a seafood bag of the usual - crab legs, shrimp, mussels, and sausage. We always add egg to enhance our bag and to see how the sauce measures up with other local spots. The crazy sauce is a mix of all of the sauces that is the one that we chose and noticeably, the sauce does not stick to anything and is more of a runnier consistency. That is my husband's pet peeve so although we enjoyed the flavor, we didn't enjoy that part of the meal. We also ordered drinks that were pretty tasty so kudos to the bartender and kudos to our server for her outstanding service. If we come back, we'll probably try the fried food and the apps so stay tuned. read more

I've seen this place just opened and want to try it. Me and my husband finally try it and I ordered a 1lb crawfish it was overcooked and the crazy sauce don't stick it comes in a bag and the sauce its like a soupy on the bottom of the bag. The server is the same lady checking in people that comes in the door. The place was not packed but she hasn't checked up on us the whole time we dine in. But when i ask for my bill she brought over my bill and just stand there waiting on me to sign my bill. Why didn't she checked up on us when we dine in but stand there waiting on the bill. My husband ordered the chicken bites and fries and it was pretty good and good portion the only problem is the fries smells like fish. We ordered carry-out from this restaurant. We ordered the Fried platter. They said it would fed 1-2 people. We added corn and hush puppies and a piece of flounder. The platter was good. I enjoyed the scallops and the calamari. My husband ate the filets. The hush puppies were good. The restaurant was bigger than I thought with a big bar. They have a variety on the menu. I normally never write a YELP review. However I had to for CCrab. The seafood boil bag was absolutely NASTY. The flavor of the garlic butter was disgusting. The boil eggs was mushy and nasty. Our waitress was very dry ans disnt appear to lile her job. Now the fried and grill tacos were BOMB. Walked in sat at front for 6 to 7 mins with no one acknowleding to sit us. I WILL NOT BE BACK and recommend everyone else dont go. This restaurant needs to regroup it has potential. The bar and decor inside is very nice. read more

If you're looking for a quality seafood boil wife and daughter had the C crab boil and loved it. Son has the fried Calamari and loved it. I had the soft shell crab Po Boy and it was the best Po Bo I have had in a while. Hush puppies on point and the server staff were attentive and helpful. Will be going back.
