Disappointing crabs. Watery and mushy. I returned 8 and was given 8 with the same result. A $111 w tax, I expect a higher quality product

Fat Boys is the place to be! Nicolette, Aniya & the bartenders always do a phenomenal job! This is my place...make it yours. Casey and Avionnah are outstanding workers

Monai D.

I visited Fat Boys last Sunday. I really liked that they have an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a meal and unwind with your family and friends. The ordering process was a bit confusing, but I understand that every place operates differently. It's similar to fast food where you have to place your order at the counter, and then your food is brought to you when it's ready. The crabs were really meaty and delicious. When I was there, I was informed that they only had Large and Fat Boy sizes. I'm not sure if this is a marketing tactic, but the crabs were still good. I gave 3 stars because of the fried oysters. I ordered fried oysters as an appetizer, but I noticed a lot of green and white stuff coming out of them. My family eats oysters all the time, so I knew this wasn't normal, but I didn't say anything. However, when someone in my group asked if they had raw oysters, they were told they don't serve raw oysters during the off-season. This made me wonder how they made the fried oysters if they didn't have raw oysters. Maybe I'm overthinking, but I wouldn't recommend the fried oysters. Oh, also, someone in my party received corn with mold on it.

Arielle H.

I honestly did not know that this restaurant was here. I usually go to the one down the street. But decided to try something new this Sunday. There is quite a difference between them both. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my time here as much as I thought I would. The jumbo wings are not jumbo at all. They are technically party size. Additionally the corn had mold on it. The fried oysters tasted odd. And when eggs did they have raw oysters, they said it was not the season for raw oysters. Which had us question what did we eat when they said they gave us fried oysters. My mom seemed to enjoy her fried fish and fries. And a friend said that the crab eggrolls were good. And of course, the crabs were a decent size and meaty. They only had large or fat boys that day. Overall, I would just go back for the outdoor seating . - I will bring bug spray and fly repellent next time too

Garlic Butter Crabs !!! Amazing!!!
Emmeline N.

I came into town looking for crabs. Came across a tik tok video and people were ranting and raving about the garlic butter grilled crabs!!!! When I say Woooowwwww it was amazing! I also had oysters but that wasn't as good to me. But, I had also ordered Togo. I will definitely go back and try it again! This place is a must go to place EVERY-TIME!!! Service was great! I ordered on the phone. Great system in store. There's 2 parts the restaurant side and the carry out side. I love how it's separate.

It was okay! The crab legs were just plain and didn't have a lot of flavor and kind of cold.

The service was fantastic. There was only one server and a bartender, and there were a lot of patrons however she was so great. The table had shrimp cocktail (no lemon wedge ), crab balls, prime rib, potato salad, coleslaw, a crabcake sandwich (GIGANTIC), and crab imperial. Everything was delicious! We had to get dessert to go bc the portions were gigantic and we were FULL. The rice pudding and the strawberry cheesecake were EXCELLENT! 2 things: - the shrimp cocktail did not have lemon wedges. However, the cocktail sauce had such a good flavor with the right amount of horseradish, so that made up for the lack of lemon wedge. I know I probably could have asked for one, but it was just so good either way. - the au jus that came with the prime rib tasted like A1 steak sauce. I am used to a traditional au jus. However, the prime rib as AMAZING, it didn't need sauce!!!! The lounge area was like a typical bar with sports showing and betting on screen. It was welcoming and great. Thank you, Ramonia! I hope that is her name because that is what I just saw on the receipt. Everything came out fast. The service was excellent. Food divine. I am most definitely going again.

5 Stars - Absolutely Worth the Visit!…read more My husband and I discovered Blue Dolphin on social media. We didn't know anyone personally who had been there, but the photos and buzz convinced us to give it a try. We are so glad we did. We drove about 40 minutes and arrived without reservations. That part was on us. We didn't realize how strongly reservations are recommended. The wait was about an hour, but it was completely worth it. The restaurant was packed, which told us right away that this place is well loved. While we were waiting, we noticed something special. The owner, Mr. Pete, was actively involved at the front desk. He checked the waiting list, greeted guests, and spoke to many customers by name. You could immediately tell he has built real relationships with his clientele. There were several birthday celebrations happening, and the energy in the lobby felt warm and welcoming. Once seated, we were taken care of by our server, Louie. He was attentive, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely kind. Excellent service makes a big difference, and Louie absolutely delivered. Now the food. Phenomenal. We ordered seafood platters, and the portions were enormous. They start you off with warm bread and butter, which set the tone. The seafood was fresh, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. The portions were so generous that we had enough left over to enjoy brunch the next day. For the quality and quantity, the pricing was very reasonable. The drinks were excellent, the ambiance was lively yet comfortable, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Blue Dolphin is clearly a local favorite for a reason. We will absolutely be back. And next time, we will definitely make reservations. Highly recommend.

I was a first timer and she's been once before. Given the name, I figured it was a seafood restaurant. Although some seafood is on the menu, Pier 99 is primarily a Sushi/Asian food restaurant. I think a name change should be in order.. Lol! I literally had to switch up my taste buds to partake in some sushi! I ordered a seafood boil because I couldn't switch them up fast enough while she ordered sushi. I actually love the concept because so many people aren't sushi fans but most folks get down with seafood! The food was actually good and they pulled off both cuisines effortlessly! My margarita was as good as any chain Mexican restaurant, so that was additional plus given the Mexican holiday. The interior is on the smaller side, however, they offer booth seating and it has a decent size bar. If I lived in the Upper Marlboro/Bowie area like I used to, I'd come here often but since I don't, I'll occasionally stop in when I'm in the area! Good job Pier 99!

For the amount of money that a party could spend on crabs, drinks, you name it, I think it is highly inappropriate for a server to not be attentive to the table as a whole - just not when they are dropping and leaving items at the table. A $100+ priced table I'm talking about. But aside from that, the food itself was delicious. Their calamari might be one of the best I've had in the state. Their grilled wings were delicious too, actually giving that named grilled flavor. 5 stars would've been great, but... come to my table to get your 5 stars. I would also think, that if someone is not coming to my table and ultimately looking for a tip to leave with, if there is nothing to tip for... I would think that the business as a whole, would lose traction - from server employment and satisfaction, to the overall Crab Shack income.

This location was very underwhelming. As I was coming in, a couple coming out tried to warn me... And I wish i would've listened and walked right back out... but noooo... The greeting was weak and unwelcoming. The floor from entry was sticky and the waitress that sat us was just like "come on". No enthusiasm. It took our waitress about 18 minutes to even come ask us what we wanted to drink. She didn't introduce herself or give us silverware, which we had to ask for after our appetizers came out. Now to the apps... steak and cheese egg rolls and sample platter (hot honey salmon bites, lemon pepper wings, and seafood rolls). The steak and cheese egg rolls were cold in the middle. I told the waitress but didn't bother to reorder because I was upset about it. My son ordered the platter and he said the only thing that was good was the hot honey salmon bites. He said the chicken tasted frozen then fried and the seafood egg rolls were just nasty. The sauce that came with the egg rolls tasted like only mayo. Yes, its mayo based but thats all it tasted like. Orange mayo! I ordered mac and cheese for my little and most of it was dry and burnt and the other half was oily. My little was disgusted and mac and cheese is the easiest thing to cook for a kid smh... But we endured and I gave it another go. I ordered the honey garlic chicken sandwich with fries. Simple. And my little ended up eating the fries since his mac and cheese was inedible. Both were good and hot, except they used shredded lettuce on my sandwich and it was gross! I should've went without...but at least they didn't charge for the extra cheese and the chicken was flavorful and juicy. The only good thing about this meal was my passion fruit iced tea. Perfect flavor! The atmosphere was blah. Music was too loud and it wasn't giving upscale. I think for the price, it couldve been a bit more pleasant. The bathrooms also were a nightmare. I've seen public restrooms cleaner. I literally almost threw up from the condition. Broken toilet seats and overflowing trash. Smh. Needless to say, I won't be back and neither will anyone I know If I can help it. Very disappointed. Oh and my check was $113.00 with a 20% gratuity all ready added. Once I saw the already added gratuity, I understood why things were the way they were and everyone was hardly trying. They're being thanked before anything has been done!
