Catfish nuggets
Bill C.

Wild Country Seafood is a small, family-run carry out restaurant. They only have outdoor seating, but on a nice day, it's a great place to sit and enjoy fresh-caught, freshly cooked seafood. They also have some fish on ice that you can buy and prepare yourself. The prices are good and the portion sizes are reasonable. I got the catfish nuggets and the fish and chips. The nuggets were good but, honestly, the fish and chips left a bit to be desired. However, I like small businesses and I like local seafood. So, I would go back to try some other dishes.

Wild Country is a great place to get some lump crab, which is what I was looking for. The crab was fresh and they gave us some ice for the trip. Staff was friendly. Had I been planning to cook more that weekend, I would have gotten some other fish. Definitely want to return to try some of their platters. It's no-frills and a bit hard to find, but luckily it is brightly colored.

The pros: The food was amazing! The service was excellent. The young man was very attentive and friendly and accommodating! I loved these fried oysters. Probably the best fried oysters I've ever had honestly. Outdoor seating allowed you to get as messy as you needed. The only con: There's no restroom. So don't drink too much.

This is a hidden gam in the residential neighborhood in East Port, Annapolis. No fancy service nor fancy dining room. This place provides outdoor seatings. Order inside and dining outside. It is also a fish market that you can buy fresh fishes. The food is great. We love the oysters both raw and fried. Rockfish fillet so good. Steamed clams with butter are great. The price is very very very good, make this place a GREAT DEAL. Opens Saturday-Sunday between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. I was told that they will open Wed-Sun starting May for summer season.

Maryland blue crab

The most amazing seafood place to get freshly caught Maryland blue crabs at best prices! We stopped going to Cantler's after finding this place. The father and son duo does it properly. Have much respect for this family business as they are such a hardworking, honest people. Great people! Their scallops are amazing too!!

Crab cake and fried shrimp

Great crabs which are topped with a bunch of old bay seasoning. Did not know this but if you sit down to eat the price is an extra $10 per dozen crabs for extra fees. A dozen crabs for $30 was still very worth it, especially of how fresh it was. We had also tried the crab cakes, fried shrimp, and broiled rockfish fillet. The rockfish was surprisingly so much better than we had expected. Food was great but the downside of this place is that there is no bathroom and seating is outside only. We sat down during a really hot day and our food was swarming with flies.

What a beautifully delicious hole in the wall. Leaving Annapolis and was told this was the spot to grab crabs to go. Reasonably priced, locally owned, and tasty. It was just that, my mom says the crabs were sweeter than she's had before and was super pleased with the taste and preparations. shrimp platter was pretty standard but flavorful and crispy. Inside it's pretty small and a few tables outside. You might even miss it as it's in the cut.

It's a very cost-effective ,medium size male half dozen $25, 2crab cakes 29, enough to feed three girls. Outdoor like picnic. Very fresh, tasty. BTW no tips.n the guy at the desk is good looking haha

Shrimp platter !!!

Craving some fried seafood, especially shrimp and my wife found this place. I was skeptical at first because it took a minute to drive down to the water through some neighborhoods. Definitely no thrills, but the prices are right, the portions get the job done, and the food is fresh & delicious !!! One man show when we went, friendly guy who greeted us as we came in and took care of the ordering and the cooking. No inside tables, but a counter by the window worked out (no other customers when we arrived). There are tables outside, but too chilly in January. Loved the Fish & Chips, Shrimp Platter, Hushpuppies- the slaw was unique & very good. Definitely worth the visit and way better than more expensive seafood spots.

Food & Service excellent. No frills, just great service and food cooked right. Picnic tables if you want to eat on site, but first come first served.

Affordable food with good quality, u won't get the same level of food and taste for the same price. Fatty oysters, crab cakes are bomb

Annapolis SHOULD have a place like this on every block, but they don't. They just have this one. It's a seafood market and also a restaurant for casual eating to-go or at one of their tables. You have the typical fried platters, steamed seafood and raw seafood. You have to try the oysters. Fatty's Patties are big 'uns and priced fairly. We've gotten a lot of other items as well. Fried clams are good. French fries are good. Rockfish bites were nothing special but weren't bad at all. Fast casual fresh seafood. All they need to serve is beer to go with them, but I bet they don't mind if you bring your own. It's pretty casual.

Oyster Po Boy with onion rings and fries

This tiny seafood market and restaurant has the best oyster po boy sandwich, in my opinion. It's a stone throw from the Maritime Museum.

They didn't have any crabs because it's not in season yet so I tried their rockfish sub and their oysters and both were great!

We ran down this morning for the inaugural launch and they did not disappoint. Criteria for vendors at a Freshfarm Market include, that you must be located within the Chesapeake bay region and you may only sell what you have either grown or made yourself. With that said, there is a definite slant towards sustainable and organic product of high quality. Today's offerings included: Quail Creek Bakery, Cherry Glen Goat Cheese Co, Flower vendors, Springfield Lamb, Local produce featuring early tomatoes, mini cucumbers, herbs, sweet cherries, asparagus, strawberries and much more. We also scooped up a delicious homemade gazpacho and mushroom empanadas for later. Local favorite, Chef Jim Wilder of the Wild Orchid Cafe was on hand for food demonstrations. We watched as he prowled the market for his ingredients but were unable to stay. There is plenty of room for expansion and we have hopes that as the season progresses, even more vendors will join in. The market is open Sundays only, June 1 - October 5. 8AM - 12PM. If you live in the area and you are serious about food, then PLEASE don't miss this opportunity for yourself and for Anne Arundel County. www.hardypartyreview.blogspot.com

Although small, this farmer's market has a small town appeal with just a few vendors, but I found them attentive, personable and and plain old nice. From Belle's Acres soap, balms, salves, and body washes to Karen Kay's table of cakes and other sweet treats with no sugar, calories, just LOVE as she tells it. So, stop on by this charming farmer's market on Sunday and leave with a SMILE.

Nonetheless, this was a nice (albeit small) collection of local vendors selling some great looking/tasting produce, meat, baked goods, honey and SALT (I'm a sucker for salts). Many of the vendors were the same as those you'll see at the Anne Arundel County Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings. On the downside, this market is in the parking lot of the Annapolis Mall which is the most depressing of settings (in my opinion, of course) -- local vendors selling local produce amongst the most commercial of chains, like Applebee's and Panda Express, places that use commercial, flavorless produce in their food. The juxtaposition is not lost on me. I'm not trying to be snobbish, it's just that I feel a lot more "at home" when some grass is visible during my veggie buying spree. Nonetheless, I highly recommend stopping in and picking up some salt samples and produce. Nothing is better than a fresh, homegrown tomato or sweet ear of white corn as a vessel on which to try your newly acquired salts. Once you try it you'll thank me!

Eggs and dairy products, with fresh seasonal veggies, breads, and even jewelry and soaps are just a few items you can pick up from this market. It varies each weekend. I've gotten herbs, and a Maryland Farmer's cookbook. I'm a huge fan of the Triple J farm eggs there. They are pricey $3.99/dozen, BUT unless you have a hen house handy you won't get fresher eggs. Once you try it, you will never want to buy eggs from Giant or Safeway again. Because these guys were smart enough to situate themselves within walking distance of a bank, this makes it very convenient for us to get cash (or more cash if we see more stuff we like) from an ATM. They get an extra star from me for making an effort to be convenient.
