Honestly, I'd have to get peed on or punched by a vendor to give a local farmer's market less than…read more4 stars. Nonetheless, this was a nice (albeit small) collection of local vendors selling some great looking/tasting produce, meat, baked goods, honey and SALT (I'm a sucker for salts). Many of the vendors were the same as those you'll see at the Anne Arundel County Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings. On the downside, this market is in the parking lot of the Annapolis Mall which is the most depressing of settings (in my opinion, of course) -- local vendors selling local produce amongst the most commercial of chains, like Applebee's and Panda Express, places that use commercial, flavorless produce in their food. The juxtaposition is not lost on me. I'm not trying to be snobbish, it's just that I feel a lot more "at home" when some grass is visible during my veggie buying spree. Nonetheless, I highly recommend stopping in and picking up some salt samples and produce. Nothing is better than a fresh, homegrown tomato or sweet ear of white corn as a vessel on which to try your newly acquired salts. Once you try it you'll thank me!

Eggs and dairy products, with fresh seasonal veggies, breads, and even jewelry and soaps are just a few items you can pick up from this market. It varies each weekend. I've gotten herbs, and a Maryland Farmer's cookbook. I'm a huge fan of the Triple J farm eggs there. They are pricey $3.99/dozen, BUT unless you have a hen house handy you won't get fresher eggs. Once you try it, you will never want to buy eggs from Giant or Safeway again. Because these guys were smart enough to situate themselves within walking distance of a bank, this makes it very convenient for us to get cash (or more cash if we see more stuff we like) from an ATM. They get an extra star from me for making an effort to be convenient.

Located at the Crofton Library parking lot, parking for the Market is onsite - front and back parking lot options, street parking and the church across the street provides parking. Open at 8am - noon and food trucks until 2pm on Saturday's, I saw any and everything you could imagine. Farm fresh produce, pies, goats milk soap, freshly pressed juices, speciality cookies and cupcakes, and EMPANADAS! We were like kids in a candy store, so clearly everything I just listed, we purchased. All of the vendors we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The Farmers Market opens in May and closes for the season in November. My top 3 vendors, Sugar Butter Love, DMV Empanadas, and the Goats Milk Soap vendor - sorry can't remember their name. All had quality options to purchase. The Market has a website to check out the vendors that will be on display, as well as social media pages. I was impressed and will absolutely be back! Note to the wise, bring a reusable bag or two to collect your purchased items. I even brought an insulated bag for my hot/cold items.

They did not have any local butter, but their imported options were worthy of being spread on some top quality bread, and I bought a couple of other things while I was there. Notably, they had a chocolate shop section as well as some nice looking salads. It was a small store, and as the term "gourmet" implies it was all premium stuff. It is mostly imports and it was not a particularly robust selection for those with special dietary needs. The butter was described to me as the "best butter in the world", which might be an exaggeration but not by a whole lot after having tasted it. I ended up getting a "Kids Meal", which is 4 party chicken tenders and 1 side for $10. Does NOT include a drink. Sodas were an extra $2-3 The chicken was good, seasoned well. Large portions. I had the mashed potatoes and gravy, which was good too. I got a little side of Pretzel salad, for about $2.30. Tasty! We were standing at the counter for quite a few minutes, and no one came over to help us. We then went to a far side of another counter and someone said they would be over, and she was over promptly at that point. I wanted a smoothie, and there is a stand near the pastries. I had the Blueberry smoothie, $6.99. It was okay. I wanted something more refreshing and sweet, and this was not it. We arrived about 20 minutes after it opened. There was already a line for chicken/meat items. Open parking space outfront. Bathroom could use some papertowels. There was only 1 hand drier that worked

Example: plants, clothing, hummus, drink mix in, crafts, candles, usually a hot dog or food truck but that's hit or miss lately. Vendors themselves - I come here to get my daughters cupcakes or cookie whatever she picked out that day. Bows, snacks, soaps, candles, and sustainable items. Generally I always walk away with something. Usually 20 vendors or more and the list of vendors is posted on FB so I follow their page to check on when my favorites are there. Parking- is easy even with a full lot, its on their property with almost no need for walking. Very close. Accessibility- okay for stroller that have bigger tires, maybe less for umbrella strollers. It's all grass so wheelchairs may be hit or miss depending on arm strength. Bathrooms - Portapottys are available. Only negative is as a bunny mom I didn't love they had bunnies out on display for the kids and didn't have a cooling bottle (frozen bottle of ice) to keep the bunnies cool. This is not uncommon especially for a farm. I gave them a cold bottle I had. Afterwards I never saw the bunny out since I'd been back so perhaps they took heed? Either way this is a great market and a consistent family outing. Highly recommend to anyone.

Parking can get a little tricky though -- it doesn't have to get too crowded before you're forced to park in the grass, and it gets a little hilly.
