We definitely ordered more than we could eat, but wanted to try a few different items. Everything we ordered was delicious, portions were plenty and our waitress, Lexi, was attentive and patient as we had many questions and took a while deciding. Valet is complimentary, and there is also street parking if you can find any available spots, as it's busy area. The restaurant is on the louder side, has music playing and people speaking over it, so it's a bit overwhelming in that aspect. Otherwise, tables are spaced nicely apart, chairs are comfortable, the decore is tasteful and inviting and the vibe is welcoming. We highly recommend a visit and we can't wait to return! Enjoy.

They have a very extensive menu here. There's a parking lot in the back and I also noticed a sign that said Complimentary Valet but there wasn't anyone at the stand. We walked in to a completely empty restaurant and saw one server (Denise) taking another table's order outside. I think she was the only employee on duty and doing everything by herself. After about 7 minutes, she approached us and asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside, and we said outside. Then she asked us if we preferred the smoking or non-smoking patio, and we chose non-smoking. I didn't even know this was an option nowadays, I thought smoking at restaurants wasn't allowed anymore. Apparently they also have hookah available every day starting at 5pm, both inside and outside the restaurant. I was really looking forward to trying their frittata but didn't know that breakfast was only until 3pm. Unfortunately I couldn't order it since we got here around 4pm. We stayed with our waters and I got a bowl of their Clam Chowder soup that came with 2 bulky and FRESH pieces of warm Focaccia bread. I also ordered a Chicken Pesto Panini which came with Grilled Chicken Breast, Basil Pesto Aioli, Tomato, Mozzarella, Fresh Basil, Roasted Peppers and Arugula on toasted Ciabatta Bread. I chose Fruit as my side. The ingredients were all fresh, but unfortunately the bread was toasted way more than my liking and the sandwich was really dry overall. There wasn't enough pesto and the chicken was a bit overcooked. I felt like I was hurting my tooth as I ate it. On the other hand, my soup absolutely stole the show. It was an outstanding bowl of Clam Chowder that really hit the spot after not having it for several years. It was piping hot, and again, very fresh. So flavorful and enjoyable. I savored every spoonful! My son ordered the French Turkey Sandwich that came with Roasted Turkey with Swiss Cheese, Avocado, Tomato, Pickles, Lettuce, Red Onions, Garlic Aioli on Sourdough Bread. He loved his sandwich and ate every crumb off his plate. I also had some of his sandwich and it was really good, way better than mine. Also nice portion for the price. He got his with a side salad that had arugula, tomatoes, red onion and lemon vinaigrette. After seating us and taking our order, Denise disappeared and Bryce took over. He was an excellent server and provided great customer service. I told him about my issues with my sandwich and he apologized and brought me some extra pesto aioli on the side. The place is very clean and everything looks very new and well-kept. Bryce mentioned they've been around for about 10 years but did an extensive remodel during COVID. I'd also like to mention that the tap water tasted so good. No nasty aftertaste like some other restaurants. Even their glasses were beautiful. Thank you management, Bryce and The Corner. We will be back another time to try the same sandwich and see if there's any improvement. We will also try more things, including the Frittata. Both restrooms were fully stocked and super clean!!

My partner and I (not the same person mentioned in the original post) came here today to enjoy a late lunch. We've come here many times since my initial review and have always enjoyed our meals. We have a lot of fond memories of this place, I've even brought friends here as well because I spoke highly of it. I ordered the huevos machaca and a regular coffee. My partner ordered the chicken quesadilla and a latte. When they brought the latte out, the cup was filthy (smelled like bacon and had old lipstick on the rim) and tasted terrible. We asked for the drink to be remade in a clean cup and with different milk. It was, but it was like the La Croix of lattes- just purely milky with the lightest essence of espresso. My partner was quite disappointed with his meal and obviously the latte. His quesadilla came with a side of fruit and I swear they picked the worst fruit in each batch. The strawberries were shriveled and dry, and the watermelon was very soggy. The huevos machaca I ordered was incredibly underwhelming from what I remember. The coffee was whatever- you typically know what to expect when ordering a drip coffee at a diner, you know? The waiter offered us boxes but we declined; there was nothing redeeming about our meals. I used to love this place, but today made me question coming back. The menu prices have also increased (which sucks but I understand because it's expensive to exist in 2026). Maybe Foxy's staff was having an off-day today. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not sure I'll come back again. Only time will tell.

Good thing we could be seated immediately at the bar area, which also has tables and chairs and has the full menu and full service. The inside decor is tiki themed which is fun. Although they were busy and the bar was packed, our server was very attentive and friendly. I'm glad we stayed to eat at the bar because food and drinks were delicious and service was great. Food: - Side: famous garlic bread - it was a lot bigger than we expected! It's a full thick loaf and could have been shared with 4-5 people. The topping is unique and tasty. - Appetizer (dinner special): mussels in garlic wine sauce. The sauce was so delicious that we dipped our garlic bread in it. Definitely recommend. It was a great starter that didn't make us overly full. - Entree (dinner special): I had the sea bass with a mushroom cream sauce. This was the only dish that wasn't that great. The fish was dry and hard and the sauce was okay. I chose the side of snap peas and that was delicious! - Entree: my husband had the 16 oz ribeye steak. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. He chose spinach as a side and it was so good. Drinks: - Macademia nut chi chi - so delicious! The macademia nut liqueur was tasty and fragrant. Loved this tropical drink and would get it again for sure. - my husband got a Diet Coke and it was watery the first time. I think their soda machine wasn't working well. Our server brought us another one, which was better but still slightly off.

The ambiance is great--I have no complaints about that--but the most important part is the food. The steak and salmon were overcooked, so we did not enjoy them. We also ordered edamame, and they served us pale green beans. We tasted them just to make sure it wasn't only the appearance, but they were sour. Why would they even attempt to serve this? The servers were attentive, so no issues there. However, I'm not sure if I would come back. Prices have gone up, but the food quality has gone down.

With the seemingly ever-changing landscape along Brand Blvd. in downtown Glendale, this establishment has been around since 2012 (which I believe was the first and only time I came here). Primarily known for its inventive craft cocktails and a killer whiskey selection, it was a nice place to sneak away into before or after your main event... or, maybe this could be the place to spend an entire evening. After a few minutes of reviewing the menu, we each placed our order at the bar, our drinks were delivered quickly while the food took mere minutes to arrive at the table. We had to approach the bar each time we ordered something, but any empty glasses and plates were collected at the table. Once we closed out our tabs, we were thanked for coming as we headed out into the night. Everything was chill and easy - thank you! PARKING (Varied; FREE this instance): I parked in the nearby original Glendale Galleria parking structure and simply walked over first to The Americana then to this place. Otherwise, there was limited parking along the main drag of Brand Blvd. and other surrounding side streets, the nearby Glendale Galleria II parking structure, The Americana parking structure that offered validation, numerous public transportation options, and rideshares - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A dark cavernous speakeasy-like place with open space, various tables and couches strewn about, and a large long somewhat decorative bar with an impressive whiskey selection displayed behind it. I appreciated the exposed brick walls which gave it that old-time feel with a few framed pictures hung on them. Minimal natural lighting came through the front doors and windows while minimal electric ceiling lights filled in rest. There was at least one projection TV where we watched the Dodgers game while music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=SomLKsk1KVcemeOCHGOZfg ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL It was nice to slip into The Famous Bar for the first time in over a decade, and if I found myself spending time in downtown Glendale again, I'd consider another visit. Sadly, I try to avoid the highly congested area as much as possible. I loved the fact that they had a daily happy hour (4pm-7pm) and late-night SU-TH happy hours (10:30pm-close), so there was always a deal to be found. The drinks were the main reason you came, while the food was just an add-on. The prices were elevated, but you had a good menu selection of libations (nice local craft beer list) to choose from. The customer service was easy, friendly, and straightforward. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $42.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...
