Stir fried udon was good but a bit too salty. Also I'm surprised that even though they use wok to cook freshly, the food doesn't have a "wok" taste. There's no seats in the store. You'll need to find a place in the hallway.

Shrimp and egg and homestyle tofu. Would say shrimp and egg bit underwhelming.

This is a hidden gem in the tysons mall- best chinese selection in the mall and made to order. It has numerous traditional Chinese dishes, and that's what we always go for. Service is great, and they have the kiosk for quick ordering. Ambiance is the mall, so it's always busy.

So I actually have liked this place alot in the past, but today we FOUND A BUG IN OUR FOOD!!! I don't know what the sanitary practices are here, but buyer beware. This wasn't a tiny bug either!!! (See image). We brought it up to them and the graciously offered a refund, and we ended up going across the way to another restaurant.

We keep coming back for their vegetarian mapo tofu. It's not as tongue ticking lip, lip numbing but they gravy is amazing, tastes great always, very consistent taste since years! I am coming here since last 4 years. It's a take out Chinese place but you can find ample seating in the mall. Do get fried rice on the side, it pairs well.

It's solid for chinese/japanese cheap food court food! Honestly, my go-to in the lower floor of Tysons corner food.

I visit chef Lin every few months for their make your own stir-fry. I've been coming here for about 10 years now. This is a cost-effective meal option and only runs about $10-13 depending on what meat you add. Sometimes I'll get veggie and add meat at home. The portions are huge, it's truly however much you can fit in your bowl. They have various options such as noodles, veggies, tofu, etc. They also have tons of sauce options. I highly recommend for a good easy dinner option, you can even take out the noodles to get rid of carbs and load up on veggies if you need. The food overall from the make your own stir-fry is always tasty and I've never had an issue. This is conveniently located in Tyson's at the bottom food court near CPK.

    Entrance to delightful food.

Szechuan Style with beef entree served with fluffy fresh steamed white rice was prepared properly and promptly. The staff assisted me with my order and I haven't been wronged yet. I love to get the servers recommended dish to try something someone says is good. This is a get it and go place and they do it well. Self check out along with assisted checkout allows for quick order turnaround. Go with the assisted checkout and ask the server/cashier, "Are you okay?" It's amazing what will happen.

Evidence points to failure due to high competition in the food court (notably beside McDonald's) and the challenges of establishing a new international brand in the U.S. market, leading to a quick closure. Reddit According to community reports on Reddit in March 2026, the location was boarded up, the phone number was disconnected, and it was removed from delivery apps." This kind of action saddens me, because two weeks earlier (maybe), my wife and I ate there for what was our last time. The last item I had on their menu was Its MyThyme. This along with the Crispy Mozzarella Balls. My Favorite Items were the #1 Chef Pan, #3 Chesey Rosemary, #6 Its My Thyme and #4 Teri & Yaki, but not necessarily in this order. Oh, did I mention I liked the Crispy Mozzarella Balls too? I have visited this place 14 times and I thought there would be a 15th time, but "Alas Poor Yorick, Nevermore." I remember the simple but peaceful vibe and ambience the place gave off. The $14.99 meals were fantastic/flavorful, filling and inexpensive. We enjoyed talking to the managers of the establishment. They always made sure food arrived in a timely manner and fixed problems should they occur. I unfortunately do not remember the name of the managers of the restaurant, but I thank them for their services. I would have to say up until Gagawa came to the United States Of America, (formerly Tavuk Dünyası), I have never had Turkish Cuisine before. I now know I have been missing out on great food. Both my wife and I truly enjoyed eating at this restaurant. There are a few reasons I think could have improved the restaurant's business, but managers informed me The owner would never do this. Here is an example of an idea for guests I had..., but first the basics: Ordinarily you would order say...(It's My Thyme #6), you would aquire Your the flavored meat, pasta, (either pesto or tomato not both) or rice and salad. You could get two rice, two Pastas (of the same flavor) or two salads if you didn't want one of these items. I thought it would help guests if you could mix and match items. Say one Pesto and one rice instead of salad for example. This option was done once then quickly reversed the next time I came back to the restaurant. I was informed this "isn't an option." I had talked about the option of Los Tres Pollos (The Three Chickens) where you might order a the chicken meats of your favorite meals..., say number 1, 3 and 6 for a very favorable meal. This idea was shot down too. I am sure people would have paid $19.99 to try this option of meats or soy items. "Potential Causes For Closing Down: Observers on Yelp noted it was located in a crowded, competitive fast-food court." The inability to adapt to ideas of improving the food options of restaurant, the cognitive rigidity of not listening to guests who had ideas of attracting more guests helped bring about the down fall of this business. My wife and I saw this place needed more people to come eat here, but the owner was steadfast in his ways and wouldn't take creative input. "And as the flames climbed high into the night, to light the sacrificial rite I saw Satan laughing with delight The Day the Music Died." and so folks, the end of Gagawa is upon us. Who will take the place of this restaurant, I can not say. Let's hope the new restaurant has the sense to adapt and overcome or history might repeat itself. Incase people are wondering where Gagawa was located, here is the former location. The restaurant was located at the food courts 7939L Tysons Corner Ctr, Mc Lean, VA 22102. Across the hallway from California Pizza Kitchen and next to McDonald's.

They took the time to explain the menu and different food options, which I really appreciated. I ordered the build-your-own bowl with sweet chili chicken, and it was outstanding--everything was so fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The rice was especially impressive: fluffy, tasty, and cooked just right. To top it all off, they were kind enough to offer me free tea and their delicious rice pudding with hazelnuts, which was amazing and such a thoughtful touch. I'll definitely be recommending this place to others. It's already one of my new favorite spots--I truly loved everything about my experience here!

Legit the best service I've ever received and was on-par (and probably better) than the service I had at luxury restaurants such as Nobu Malibu. The food, exceptional. If you're Korean, and you're looking for the traditional affair, this is not it. I'd take a client or friends here who aren't Korean. It's catered more towards non-Koreans IMO. They're selling this as an upscale spot and while the quality of meat is pretty darn good, you have to ask for lettuce and garlic - the two items always present at a traditional k bbq. It kind of sh*ts on the tradition by doing that. Why not provide that to give the full experience we all expect? I love luxury dining as much as anyone else but this was a colossal waste of money. I come to this shopping center multiple times a week since I live in McLean and almost always miss that this exists. They also have barstools outside facing the bar indoors but it's just so awkward. The sidewalk of this area is not built for that! Great idea (usually), but terrible execution. There's so many Korean bbq places nearby. I'm glad I tried this place to kill my curiosity of what they do different. Again, great spot if you want in bbq in a more upscale atmosphere, but it's more or less "fusion," and I'd be good with a business dinner here. Service was impeccable though. I appreciated the promptness in attending to our needs. The savory dishes btw- the dwenjangjiggae is awful. Lacks depth, flavor, and just overall was very meh. The other items (and we had all 5) were just fine. Nothing to sing home about.

Carlyle is our go-to (11/10), Mikes American is wonderful (9/10), and Silverado (10/10) never disappoints. But we'll never visit Coastal Flats ("CF") again. CF was pretty busy so we ordered quickly: a CF lager, a cocktail, the community bread basket, the fritters as an appetizer, crab cakes, and a grilled chicken & havarti sandwich. Based on a recommendation, we REALLY wanted to try the fritters appetizer. Unfortunately, our entrees came out after the bread basket and we never had a chance to try the fritters... our multiple servers (their operating model) totally forgot about it and we never received the item. The butter for the bread basket was half liquid when we received it. The chicken sandwich was bland. The lager wasn't anything special. Crab cakes were as good as they should have been... for the market price of $36. But how do you totally forget about one of our orders? The staff tried to fix this by offering a free round of drinks or a dessert, but we already had enough to drink and the limited dessert menu only has three items. Hats off to the staff for offering, but with so many servers/staff constantly buzzing around and checking every table, why did this even happen? Nobody is perfect. Well, Mike's American, Silverado, and (the AMAZING) Carlyle are close. Compared to those restaurants in the same portfolio, Coastal Flats in the Tysons Mall is unbecoming of a Great American Restaurants establishment. We were disappointed and won't return. We suggest to everyone who has invested the time to read my review: go to any other of the Great American Restaurants, but SKIP Coastal Flats at the Tysons Mall as they might SKIP putting in one of your orders.
