China Wok reputed to have the 2nd best Peking Duck in the Metropolitan area. Patrons come here for their Peking duck and then whatever they feel like that comes next. (In fact we pre-order Peking ducks for Thanksgiving every year). We had 2 orders, and there were plentiful (for 8), and served with hand-rolled wraps, scallions, and sauce. The service here can be best described as friendly and casual, as you'd expect from an uncle or aunt. The fried dishes, e.g., fried fish fillet, fried pork chops, were what you'd expect - crispy, spicy, and fresh. However we thought that some of the dishes were a bit salty.

Spicy Cabbage Chicken, Spicy Fried Fish Fillet, Phoenix Fish Fillet, Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (top).

The food and service get 5 stars here (the ambiance is a bit dated). They have the usual fare here, along with a number of uncommon and unusual options. My favorites include the Spicy Fried Fish Fillet, the Spicy Cabbage Chicken, Sautéed Pork & Dried Bean Curd, and the Phoenix Fish Fillet.

Chicken and cashews lunch special with rice and spring roll. This is just the portion I served myself. They gave me a ton of food!

Delicious! Very quick delivery and everything was piping hot. I got the chicken and cashews lunch special which came with rice and a spring roll. I also got their spicy cajun cabbage, and pan fried noodles with pork and chicken with extra sauce. I love everything! The portions are so big I'll have plenty for dinner as well.

I ordered curry fried tofu. I got Mapo Tofu (soft tofu with brown sauce. I tried to tell them they made a mistake, but they refuse to listen -well here is the evidence. Oh and they (yes a woman and a man in the call) insisted that they served me fried tofu w/yellow curry sauce. Sad when a business will not acknowledge a simple mistake and even worse, refuse to fix it. Oh I even said I would send them a photo; they refused. I offered to take it back and show them; they refused.

This is a rather traditional place. I ordered the beef noodles soup - very delicious, rich broth, and mildly spicy. I have eaten in a lot of Chinese restaurants, and I highly recommend this one. Excellent!

Forgot to take a picture of the whole Duck :(

11/13/2021, our crew came through and ordered a lot! The 11 of us ordered three Peking ducks and eight other dishes (I'm going to forget some of the other dishes because the Ducks stole the show by a large margin). Here is our breakdown. Peking Duck: for $44, the Duck, dough wraps, onions, and the sauce were a total steal! The portion sizes were generous and the price is reasonable! The Duck meat was juicy and the skin was amazing! They also gave us the bones and the legs/wings. 10/10. This dish is a must have. Fish with Chives Flower: for $17 I guess the dish is okay? It was not too memorable and I'm typing this up only 90mins after the meal. Okay-ish dish LOL. Spicy Beef 水煮牛: $19. This dish was good. There was a good kick in the spices and the veggies in the dish complemented the beef really well. The beef itself was not bad. The dish definitely had elements of Sichuan/Chongqing, but the dish lacked the essence of those places. Therefore, 8/10. 豆苗 Pea Sprout: The restaurant cooked it with sugar. I think the Shanghainese chef instructed the restaurant to cook this dish that way. It was definitely a new spin on pea sprouts. A weird and somewhat delicious new spin perhaps? 7/10. Tofu Eggplant w/ Salted Fish: this delicious was simply delicious. This was definitely the 2nd best dish of the night, behind the Duck. 9.5/10. 香干肉丝: I don't think my crew liked the dish as much as the others. I personally didn't eat it, so I'll take their words on it. They gave it 6/10. The service was great. The waiters were pretty attentive and filled our water regularly. Overall experience 4.5/5. I'm rounding this up to a five star review simply because the Duck was amazing and it's only $44!

This is really a 4.5 rating. I have been coming here for many, many years. Used to come here for the lunch specials. I used to work very close. I still come here and eat when I can. The food has always been consistent and good. I never had a bad meal. The service has always been consistently good. Owners have always been friendly. The ambiance is very casual. It's a small place in a strip mall but food us delicious. They have a huge selection of authentic Chinese. Good food at a decent price.

Amazing dishes! I had been reluctant as the name seemed generic--boy I was wrong. The Peking duck is similar to the one at Peking Gourmet Inn , even the pancakes and way it is served. However they are able to keep prices fair. We had the full duck at about 40% less cost than the other place and all of us were happy. The owner stated they get theirs from Long Island too and cook it for hours til that crispy skin is achieved. The shrimp and black bean sauce was great w chives. They had snow pea greens in season too. Service was impeccable as they even topped up our teapot several times. Definitely will make this a result rotation to try other dishes along w the duck. Maybe 2 ducks for the 4 of us next time?!?

We went on a Saturday around 11:30 am. There was a constant flow of customers, mainly Chinese. We went for the duck, which was so so. The price is pretty reasonable. The yangzhou fried rice was good. It had chicken, shrimp, and chinese bbq pork. The Chinese watercress with garlic was cooked well. Not overly cook. The chef is from Chongqing, so I ordered the hot & spicy braised fish with tofu (豆花鱼 dou Hua yu) The staff was very attentive and friendly. The hot and sour soup was also good. The ambiance: extremely casual. A bit dated. I would return to try other dishes.

My friends and I came to this restaurant after our Tysons Corner trip and the food was decent. They have a mixture of more authentic Chinese food and more Americanized Chinese food so the variety was great. We entered mid day on a Saturday and the restaurant was on the quieter side compared to other restaurants in the same plaza. The service was great! The workers were very friendly and sat us almost immediately. I got one of their special dishes that was recommended to me by our waitress and it was delicious. The dish is braised pork with tofu served with white rice. Serving size is quite big. The only issue we faced was price difference from the menu. It seems like their menu prices for some dishes were not updated and two of the dishes ended up being a few dollars more.

I ordered from here a couple of times and I must say that it's a pretty solid spot for local Chinese. I've gotten the pork lomein and walnut shrimp. They're very tasty! However, would prefer if the shrimp sauce was not as watery. I haven't seen a sauce that watery before so hopefully thats not the normal case. They're quick to fulfill orders too.

First order: chicken lo mein, general tso's, and the hot chili pork wontons. The lo mein was delicious... chicken super tender, perfectly done. But the wontons were the real standout for me. I hadn't tried that style before and wow, so flavorful and tender! The general tso's was the one miss for me, not bad but not my favorite rendition of the dish, and the white rice was just okay. Did any of that stop me from ordering again days later? Absolutely not! Second order: we swapped in the mongolian chicken and the hot chili pork dumplings and this was the upgrade we needed. The mongolian chicken was SO good... again incredibly tender, tons of onions, deeply flavorful. And the dumplings? Perfection. The filling is more evenly dispersed throughout than the wontons, making every bite perfectly balanced with the pork and chili oil. Even the rice was better this time around, not sure what changed but I'm not asking questions! We've been dreaming about this meal ever since and genuinely cannot wait to order again. It took a little time for Uber Eats delivery but everything came in hot and fresh. The fried rice had a hint of wok hei but not too strong. The star of the show was the Mongolian beef. Tender pieces of beef with green onion & white onions in a savory sweet sauce, also with a hint of wok hei. Yeah that will be the go to. Came with side of white rice. Was not full. 3/4 full. Weird. Overall, a decent Chinese restaurant to try. Maybe next time we will have sit down experience. We'll see. 3.9/5 Sorry no pics this time. Hangry and devoured the food before pics were taken.

I ordered a kung Pao chicken lunch combo, food arrived quickly, but I was certainly not impressed by any of it, and I eat a lot of Asian food at some very highly respected and reviewed restaurants . For me the food missed the mark - I did not like the hot and sour soup, balance was off and it was missing the depth of flavor that is to be expected. Kung Pao chicken - just mediocre in every respect. Flavor was muddied like some places do with a generic "brown" sauce. So unfortunate, I'm honestly not sure how this place has been here so long. I don't anticipate giving this place another try.

I opted for the Steak teriyaki bento box with came with steak (medium rare) teriyaki, rice, 3 tempura shrimp, 2 tempura veg, 3 cali rolls, 3 gyozas, miso soup & salad for about $22.00. The miso soup was good but the salad was avg. The dressing got really watery. The gyozas & Cali rolls were fair but generous servings of tempura were outstanding! Crisp & hot. Even after 10 mins. Not oily or greasy. The rice was cooked properly. The only misstep was the steak. The steak was also cooked properly at medium rare & looked beautiful. The inside was nice and pink. But upon chewing, the steak was not tender at all. Very very chewy. When you were young, you were taught fo chew at least 30 times. Well, this exceeded the recommended amount of chewing. The steak has a nice beefy flavor but just tough. SHAME. Overall, Sweet Ginger is a very popular and nice place to have Japanese food. The sushi plates (not pictured) were colorful and beautiful.
