Amazing beef noodle soup! Really savory and fresh broth. The cuts of meat are my favorite kind - mostly just the really tender parts but also a few smaller pieces of the tendony parts too. My go-to place for when I miss home. It's the best chinese food in Central Austin, and it's tucked away in West Campus. The owners are unbelievably sweet too. Only issue is that too many people order and they run out of ingredients easily for Liangpi and Dumplings, so they stop making them around dinner time. read more

I went with a group of friends and ordered 5 items for us to share. We ordered the liangpi noodles, beef noodle soup, wonton soup, pork/cabbage dumplings, and the noodle with meat and bean sauce. Of all the items we ordered, I LOVE THE WONTONS. They taste super homemade. Like legit. The liangpi taste fantastic with the wonton soup. The cold noodles were great way to cool off this Texas weather. I would most likely order the beef noodle soup during the winter. However, the beef in the soup was extremely tender. Melts.. This place is also the most authentic Chinese food I ever had in Texas so far. Yes. If you have the time to walk to Kung Fu Tea, take that extra 1 minute to check out this food truck. I expected this will be a legit flavorful Chinese/Xian food in campus. It was located right between fresh food market and house of tutors. Tried the pork burger and it was pretty dense altho it looks pretty small. I went on my first Bumble date here, and the couple in the truck (the owners) taught us how to say their dishes in Chinese. Sure it's not the best Chinese food I've ever had but for Austin this may be as good as it will ever get. Hand pulled noodles that you can tell are made fresh daily. Veggies sliced thinly and portions humongous. Chili oil super spicy and meat sauce plentiful. Flavors fit the American palate but everyone in line was Asian so seems to be knowing far and wide that Hong really knows his stuff, especially noodles. Most meals around $8-9 and comes out in 10 minutes. Parking tough but available on the street nearby. Didn't seem to take phone calls for togo orders but with their speed and quality I would just go and get a bit of everything. Their lianpi is soo good. It gives a nice spicy kick which works really well with the cold noodle. I like that the spicy sauce comes separate so you can adjust how hot you want it. Omg, this place is a hidden gem in Austin probably due to its location secluded from campus. I found out about this place from seeing one of my friend's(thanks JC) stories with their black bean noodles saying all the fobs go. Although it was a bit hard to find, I do not regret spending the extra time to try this place out! I used to think family Chinese restaurant had the most authentic Chinese food near campus, but this place beats them in terms of price and authenticity! My favorite dish is their black bean noodles like holy sht the meat portion is generous(great flavor), and the noodles are handmade, hen di dao!
