Half shrimp half tuna poke bowl
    Veronica A.

I tried them at the Brentwood food truck event on Wednesday. I had the poke boat. 1/2 shrimp, 1/2 tuna. Loved the shrimp, was not a fan of the tuna, it tasted a little fishy to me. Yes, I'm aware that it's a fish, but, it didn't taste as fresh as the shrimp. I enjoyed placing my order on their iPad. I'd give them another try and would order the shrimp boat!

The Poke boats are fresh and filling! You have your choice of Ahi, Shrimp or a combo of both on your choice of rice, salad or chips with toppings! If you get the large one with rice, it feels like it weighs a ton! They pack on all the goodies! Friendly service with great food is always a win/win! The food truck has a kiosk which makes it easy to order and pay! They serve a few different Hawaii sun & other drinks as well. Everything we've had so far has been ono! Just need to try the açaí bowl next!! You can catch the truck at different farmers markets and pop up events around the east bay and mountain house area! Check out their IG to see where they are when! We love supporting locally family owned businesses and will definitely be going back for more!

Food stand with pennant in front

Chef Hits the Streets can be ordered from Door Dash for delivery or one can pick up food at their location when it's available. they also do pop ups around the Bay Area. only decor seen was pennant on food vehicle announcing: "Hawaiian Poke". unknown if other Hawaiian eats will be on menu. saw them at the Asian and Pacific Islander Arts & Culture Festival in Alameda on 4/20. they were near the entrance. self-service at ordering kiosk at the left window. no human contact. pick up order at right window when it is ready. offerings: Poke by the pound (26). poke boats, extras: tortilla chips, white rice, mix greens, beverages, party trays. eats: poke boats, half ahi tuna, half cooked shrimp (18). choose mix green as base, skipped chips, white rice. (choice of 2) -shrimp and tuna tasted/looked fresh, didn't have any flavor. had garnish of sesame seeds, white onions, green onions, house made spicy mayo drizzle. -no tax charged. -unknown if this is "authentic" Hawaiian Poke, drizzle was fab, made the dish. never visited Hawaii. whatever this was, it tasted pretty good. tummy happy. *seating in area at the right side of entrance. take outs: -the immigrant Park where event was held has no on-site parking. -upon giving me my food, owner said: "mahalo" (thanx in Hawaiian) -only the owner made the food, and passed out same. one person operation. *this no doubt cuts down costs, savings passed onto customers. May is Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

1/2lb ahi with chips - on the side. He will put over chips if you want!

We are really into BBQ and know a lot about the origins of the sauce by state but for us it was too much that didn't add up. I am a native of Lousianna and there no distinct BBQ's due to the diversity and rub focused cuisine unlike Things like such as Kansas City, Texas, Memphis and Carolina. but it would be best to ask him to explain as we were unable to get a clear answer about it. Price - The prices are astronomical. for a 2 way plate it is 28.00 per person. this is a pick of 2 meats on little slider hawaiian rolls. you can eat easily in a restaurant for half of that and get authentic smoked real BBQ meat. 1 2 way plate is only enough for 1 person because portions are very small. 2 people to eat here is 70.00. A 2 way includes little sliders on costco Hawaiian rolls which are snack size. Beans were directly out of the can. No flavor enhancer seasons or anything and runny sauce. BBQ Sauce is directly out of the bottle. (Most likely sweet Baby Rays from Costco or smart and final. Potato salad is also store bought and not fresh. you will find it at the local grocery store. Please compare for yourself. You will see. Though he has grills smoking on the side of the truck an he is constantly running back and forth with a spray bottle and towel, there is very little meat if any in the grills so more for marketing and show. Also note that His prices are negotiable. He does not turn any money away. He will give you what is called a "special" deal, and you will hear him yell to the staff "special"! so as it turns out "special" means no charbroiled meats! All oven baked and pre sliced chicken and pulled pork that is store brought so special means different batch. Just b aware. He is very very pushy! He is trying to reel in all of the customers from entering stores he is parked in front catching you on the way in or out. Feels harrasing and if you are not interested he will say to you on your way pass "you don't want to miss out cause you won't be able to sleep tonight if you don't try this. It'll keep you up. You gonna miss out" This is a slickster tactic. He is hustling and it shows. no one should be pressured to buy anything they are not interested in. We are surprised this is in a public strip mall parking lot and should not be allowed Thus his location has had to move frequently. A license should be required. Usually food trucks must be parked on the street, not blocking parking stalls for businesses and after 6:00 p.m. daily This is an ordinance. Not sure why this is being tolerated. 2 stars because there is nothing wrong with trying to make a living. 1 start would be unfair to that, so 2 is being generous and speaks to definite his work ethic.

Never again will i listen to a non-human! Let me first start off by saying, i love me my quesadillas. It's my go to mexican food. My staple, the good ol' reliable. Not tacos, not burritos. The mighty legendary quesadilla. How can you mess up a quesadilla with meat? Well it's possible here at Tacos Mil Delicias. It all started with the price tag. $15 dollars for a quesadilla, thats before tax. I thought to myself, okay, it's going to be at least mildly big or beefy. Nope and nope. This thing was thinner than a Taco Bell quesadilla and smaller than the usual size flour tortilla for a menu item like this at other Mexican taco trucks. All this while waiting in the cold for what felt to be longer than 15 minutes. Unacceptable. They did have some chairs next to their truck and it looked decently clean, but i thought it wouldn't take that long and is the reason why i stayed standing. Wrong. I didn't give it one star because the quesadilla did not taste bad. Regardless, for that amount of money, it's best spent elsewhere.

I liked their menu as it was easy to follow. A few apps, a wrap that you can customize and several rice bowls which are curry based. Fried Tandoori Wings ($6/4*) You get 4 nice sized wings for this price. Generous price as other trucks would want at least $10 for an app of this sized. The wings are marinated but not strongly then it is fried til pretty crisp. No coating and no texture from dry spices but because of the wet marinade the wings get pretty dark in the fry. I actually liked their simple fried chicken; it had a unique flavor, and it wasn't crazy dry. I would definitely get these again. Chicken Tikka Wrap ($13/4*) This is straight up an Indian burrito. Exact same size and look of a Mexican burrito. Large warm flour tortilla filled generously with basmati rice, a light handful of lettuce and a good scoop of chicken tikka masala which I think most people know because it is a popular Indian dish that most non-Indian know/like. A gateway dish if you will. Now all flavors and textures were decent. The chicken was quite tender bathing in that creamy and spicy tomato sauce that totally absorbs into the rice. Lettuce gets soft and wilted from the heat of the other ingredients. Wished there were another element in there to give it more diversity in texture maybe some of their chickpea masala (which you can actually choose as a protein choice). Maybe next time I'll ask for half n half. I also thought that this was going to be wrapped in some Indian flatbread which I think would have made it more special versus just a standard flour tortilla. But for $13 this was still a very filling and flavorful meal. I actually got 2 meals from this hefty burrito. If I run into this truck again I'm going to try the samosas and the goat curry rice bowl. Their prices are better than most and they have a good handle on their flavors. Props.

They were set up on the corner of 1st and Old 1st, in the little dirt lot by the mural that says "Welcome to Downtown LIVERMORE". I ordered a Tri Tip sandwich with grilled onions, peppers, and BBQ sauce, with sides of corn bread and baked beans. Total was $17.50, and I paid by Venmo. The people running the BBQ were kind and easygoing. I told them I'd be taking my food home in a backpack on my motorcycle, and they assured me it would be wrapped up tight and bagged for safety. After I got home, I opened up the bag and found a nice warm sandwich wrapped tightly, and my two sides packaged in little plastic containers. I was a little surprised when I noticed the corn bread and beans were cold, like they'd been refrigerated. When I opened up the lid on the corn bread, the nicely browned crust peeled right off with the plastic. I think they should probably wrap the corn bread in a little wax paper to prevent that from happening. After microwaving the corn bread and beans, I got down to eating my lunch. The sandwich came in a nice thick roll, which I liked. It was a little crunchy, so I think it was toasted. I thought the Tri Tip was decent. The meat was nice and tender, with a slightly smoky flavor. The sandwich had a lot of veggies on it, but I found those to be a bit watery and not super flavorful. For grilled veggies, I would expect to see some charring and to get some of that smoky flavor, but these looked and tasted like they had been sauteed with no seasoning. I liked the BBQ sauce, and I would have liked a little more than I got. Probably best to get some extra sauce on the side. The corn bread was good, but really sweet. I think I'd prefer it with less sugar. The beans were delicious. Overall I'd say it the food was alright. Could be better in several areas, and I'm sure they will get better as they receive feedback from local diners. BBQ is certainly popular in this town, but you still have to mind the details. I definitely didn't regret my decision to get BBQ instead of my original plan. I got my lunch from a local street vendor out in the sun, rather than an air conditioned franchise restaurant, and for me, that's always a nice change of pace. I look forward to trying again.
