    Idly vada

We went when they were stationed at 3 Steves winery in Livermore. It was well worth the trek from SF. We got: Idly-vadai combo Potato paratha Masala dosa Bonus samosas! Like Anju said below, some of the softest idli ever. The vada were fragrant and perfectly crispy. Samosas were super crispy outside but still soft and moist inside. Dosas are usually my least favorite on a tiffin menu but this one made me reconsider. There was also more filling than one typically gets. The paratha was also delightful, as were the chickpeas alongside. Coconut chutney and sambar were both great and there was plenty of both. Highly recommend!!!!!! The owners are also super sweet!

Try them they're very open to what you have to say for them to create your own personal meal. I tried the crunchy samosa and it tastes better than the regular ones you get at the bazaar. They're now on an app that I use called Trunger which is like ordering pickup for Postmates, but on food trucks. This is only on iPhones though which is ok since alot of us have iPhones.

Tried the idli - vada at livermore outlet mall, and the idli's were the softest i have had in a while . The chutney was tasty as well.

We had it Sunday at the farmers market and again Thursday at the farmers market; it was that good! It's simple, not overdone. Which is perfect. Fresh ahi, sesame, avocado, onion, sauce. Over rice, or your choice of base. It's a little pricey but it is 100% worth it. When comparing to other poke places around, it's a little higher but the quality smacks those in the face, so it makes sense. The fish is so fresh tasting, melts in your mouth. Highly, highly recommend. So nice to have a nice light, refreshing food truck option in lieu of all the fried stuff. Plus, the guy who runs the truck is so friendly. So nice. Reminds me so much of being in Hawaii and getting that ohana treatment. The truck looks clean and well taken care of which makes me feel good about the cleanliness standards he holds. You won't be disappointed; check it out!

You also have to pay more just to get rice with your fish (if ordering a "poke boat") which feels like a rip off in my opinion. Ahi tuna ($14 for 1/2 lb) itself is solid and good quality for what it is in this area. The sauce is described as a sesame soy sauce with spicy mayo. It's on the sweeter with some savoriness, light on the sesame, and not so much salty. I do like the flavors, but the poke isn't marinated long enough for them to seep through the whole fish chunks. Has a very slight kick from the chili flakes.

We are really into BBQ and know a lot about the origins of the sauce by state but for us it was too much that didn't add up. I am a native of Lousianna and there no distinct BBQ's due to the diversity and rub focused cuisine unlike Things like such as Kansas City, Texas, Memphis and Carolina. but it would be best to ask him to explain as we were unable to get a clear answer about it. Price - The prices are astronomical. for a 2 way plate it is 28.00 per person. this is a pick of 2 meats on little slider hawaiian rolls. you can eat easily in a restaurant for half of that and get authentic smoked real BBQ meat. 1 2 way plate is only enough for 1 person because portions are very small. 2 people to eat here is 70.00. A 2 way includes little sliders on costco Hawaiian rolls which are snack size. Beans were directly out of the can. No flavor enhancer seasons or anything and runny sauce. BBQ Sauce is directly out of the bottle. (Most likely sweet Baby Rays from Costco or smart and final. Potato salad is also store bought and not fresh. you will find it at the local grocery store. Please compare for yourself. You will see. Though he has grills smoking on the side of the truck an he is constantly running back and forth with a spray bottle and towel, there is very little meat if any in the grills so more for marketing and show. Also note that His prices are negotiable. He does not turn any money away. He will give you what is called a "special" deal, and you will hear him yell to the staff "special"! so as it turns out "special" means no charbroiled meats! All oven baked and pre sliced chicken and pulled pork that is store brought so special means different batch. Just b aware. He is very very pushy! He is trying to reel in all of the customers from entering stores he is parked in front catching you on the way in or out. Feels harrasing and if you are not interested he will say to you on your way pass "you don't want to miss out cause you won't be able to sleep tonight if you don't try this. It'll keep you up. You gonna miss out" This is a slickster tactic. He is hustling and it shows. no one should be pressured to buy anything they are not interested in. We are surprised this is in a public strip mall parking lot and should not be allowed Thus his location has had to move frequently. A license should be required. Usually food trucks must be parked on the street, not blocking parking stalls for businesses and after 6:00 p.m. daily This is an ordinance. Not sure why this is being tolerated. 2 stars because there is nothing wrong with trying to make a living. 1 start would be unfair to that, so 2 is being generous and speaks to definite his work ethic.
