Service was quick but not very friendly :( Ambience & seating is great with all the vintage stuff used for decoration which gives nostalgia. We finally tried Kailash Parbat! We loved the Chole Bhature, paneer, naan, and the dabeli was good as well. The only dish that fell short for us was the Ragda Pattice -- it felt a bit flavorless. It could be much better with more chutneys and a crunchier tikki. The decor is definitely a high point -- the space is clean, bright, and very inviting. They've done a beautiful job connecting the decor to India, and it truly shows. I loved looking around at the walls; it all made me feel right at home. Extensive menu! Efficient service! Excellent food! There were so many things to choose from, so we asked the waiter for assistance. He provided a couple of his favorites and they were spot on! Mumbai street food vibes and desi chaat comfort . Kailash Parbat Dublin has been quite a staple those craving spicy , Indian vegetarian fare in tri valley . The chole bhaturas with the chai are a killer combo . So are the vada pavs and dabeli . The chaat platter is quite a crowd pleaser , desi version of an appetizer sampler . The paneer lababdar with their butter naans are also a great option for the second course . Also , would recommend giving their tandoori mushrooms a try for sure . read more

This review is for food and management, We went there just this Saturday for lunch ordered baby corn appetizer , pav bhaji, paneer biryani hot &sour soup Baby corn appetizer was salty and full of turmeric no other flavors Pav bhaji bread was dry and bhaji tasted like sambar rice not at all good Biryani was spicy and filled with two big blocks of paneer which was leathery . When expressed the issue the person who took order was empathetic and said let me talk to manager, manger stood there did nothing, she could not acknowledge us, leave alone being empathetic or kind to ask if she can us different order do something with the order. 2nd visit after 1-2 years and still quality is same! We ordered Paneer Tikka Lababdar, Kofta e Dilbar, Naan, Chapati and Chinese Bhel. Paneer was good and had cheesy topping, good choice. Kofta balls were frozen so they were not warmed enough to be soft but the taste was good. Would recommend to warm them enough next time. Service was good and quick. Excitement induced by the thought of finally eating at Kailash Parbat fell a bit short of the promise. While the service was great, above average for a restaurant of its ilk, and the ambiance was also a bit above average, the food itself was a combination of hits and misses. Pani Puri (3.5/5) - when I think Kailash Parbat, I think Pani Puri, and for me this fell a bit short for a signature dish. Note it was still one of the better dishes but it lacked the oomph. Mixed Platter (2.5/5) - this totally missed the mark for me on several fronts. First off, it was too spicy. Secondly at some point the bhel, the sev puri and corn basket tasted not very different from each other. Can't speak for the dahi puri as I couldn't have that due to being vegan. Vada Paav (3/5) again waaayy spicy such that the spice overpowered the garlic and all other flavors We ordered a bunch of curries that scored a 3.5 but overall I came to the conclusion I didn't miss much by waiting to visiting this place till I was in the neighborhood read more

This was our second time here. Unfortunately, the chat basket lacked flavor this time, it was almost dry and came without any chutneys. The bhallas in the chat were not soft and I was having hard time cutting them with the spoon. On the other hand, the sandwich was hot and delicious and packed with flavor! I've been meaning to try some authentic Punjabi Cuisine and I just happened to be in the Dublin area so I decided to give this place a try. The reviews were good and this restaurant actually started in India back in the 1950's so I was sold. I was seated the second I walked in the door. It's larger than it looks from the outside with a high ceiling and decorated with the history of the restaurant. The choices were plentiful and the menu was a novel. All four dishes I tried were indeed on another level in every aspect of cuisine. Even the Mango Lassi was on another level. The KP Chaat Platter offered a nice sampling of chaats including Dahi Wada, lentil fritters topped with yogurt; Bhel Puri, puffed rice mixed with potatoes, onion, mango, and chutneys; Sev Puri, crispy fried discs topped with onion, tomato, and mango; and Crispy Corn Basket, fried flour tartlets topped with corn, pomegranate, onion, and tomato. Everything was drizzled with chutneys and topped with crunchy sev (fried chickpea flour noodles), making for a crunchy, tangy, sweet, sour, and spicy combination of flavors and textures! We continued on with more street food, including the Aamchi Mumbai Sandwich, a griddled sandwich made on white toast with a filling of mashed potato masala, cucumber, onion, tomato, and cheese, served with an herb chutney and potato chips on the side. The Borivali ki Dabeli were two sandwiches built on fluffy white buns with a sweet, spiced filling of mashed potatoes, peanuts, chili sauce, and tamarind sauce--a bizarre yet classic combination. We used to love this place and came back after a long time to celebrate a special occasion with friends. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The quality of the food was subpar, and all four adults in our group had stomach issues the next day. The worst part was watching my toddler throw up, which we believe was due to food poisoning from the meal. Service was also lacking. After bringing the food, no one checked in on us. Our water jug stayed empty for a long time and wasn't refilled until the end, and used plates were never cleared, leaving us struggling for space on the table. Overall, dishes had great presentation and taste was great and well balanced! The appetizer was delicious. The sandwich was good. The masala was delicious, and the sauce was well made, not too spicy! Tip - get here before 12:00 for lunch or before 7 pm for dinner. The place gets crowded and wait times can be long otherwise. We had Pav bhaji - well done and spiced and just like you would find it in Mumbai. Pav was not sweet which is a big plus in US. All breads tend to be sweetish in taste but not here. Paani puri was well presented. Comes with a side of sweet chutney and minty spicy green paani (mint flavored spicy watery sauce). You can mix and match according to your taste, easily customisable. Again taste matches mumbai paani puri taste. Dabeli was good but too sweet in my opinion and lacked on tangy, spicy taste profile. Kailash parbat is a really famous restaurant in Chennai and we were so excited to visit here in Dublin, CA. But the food was very disappointing. We ordered the paneer briyani and the paneer makhanwala...the briyani was still eatable but the gravy had too much oil that you can literally pour the oil out of the vessel, once it settles on top. This is a great spot for North Indian street food lovers! The restaurant has a lively and vibrant vibe, with walls covered in fun Bollywood-themed collages that really set the mood. What stood out most to us was the exceptional cleanliness and the freshness of the food -- truly impressive. Funny enough, I first tried their food as leftovers and was so impressed that I had to visit the place with my mom. The waitlist is managed through Toast, and it moved pretty quickly for us. We ordered the Papri Chaat, Mumbai Sandwich, Hakka Noodles, and the Spicy Guava drink -- every dish was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. The only thing that could have made the experience even better would've been some Bollywood music playing in the background to complete the ambiance. The restaurant doesn't have a place to wait for a table - it is either out in the parking lot or at the front of someone who is eating. After about an hour of waiting my party of 5 people got a place to sit. The seating area is small and for large parties (6 or more people) the restaurant doesn't have good seating arrangements. Our second time at the restaurant. Came here first when they had just opened. They have definitely smoothed out the service part, it is very efficient now. In terms of food, get the Sev Poori. This is the most authentic sev poori I have had in the US that comes close to the taste I remember from Bombay. Vada Pav is another Bombay fav. Dahi chaat is another good option here. I have found the pani puri and Chana bhatura to be average. Bombay sandwich was unimpressive. May give it a try another time. On my last visit I ordered the Mumbai sandwich and Kofta curry. The sandwich was small (made with regular bread, not like the big bread in Mumbai) , it had huge chunks of very pungent red onions which completely overpowered everything else and without the name the dish would have been hard to recognize as Mumbai sandwich, it was nowhere close. The kofta curry was too sweet, looks like they used canned tomato puree with added sugar. The server had warned not to order the malai kofta since it's sweet, but now I am wondering how. much more sweeter can it get. read more
