On my last visit I ordered the Mumbai sandwich and Kofta curry. The sandwich was small (made with regular bread, not like the big bread in Mumbai) , it had huge chunks of very pungent red onions which completely overpowered everything else and without the name the dish would have been hard to recognize as Mumbai sandwich, it was nowhere close. The kofta curry was too sweet, looks like they used canned tomato puree with added sugar. The server had warned not to order the malai kofta since it's sweet, but now I am wondering how. much more sweeter can it get. read more

We initially catered for my daughters birthday from them and it was a massive hit. We loved their biryani, dabeli, Gobi Manchurian and paneer gravy! The ambience is great and service is fast as well. However, our recent visit wasn't really that great! The chef has changed I believe and the dishes tasted good but not the same. I ordered a pan fried potato (carrots and peas mixed in- came in a cute heart shape!) hot yummy dish that came with a chickpea curry soup, it was so delicious, I ordered more of the chickpea soup separately as well, I will certainly be back for more and probably try new dishes! We've visited this spot a few times, and our experiences have consistently been great. It can get quite busy on weekends, so it's a good idea to plan accordingly. Kailash Parbat is the new restaurant from a famous chain back in Bombay, India and has opened in Dublin. 1. The Ambience is well designed. If you are born and brought in Bombay or love Mumbai (Bombay), you will like all the paintings and the nostalgic phones that are hung. 2. The Dabbawala paintings and Kaali - Pili Taxi are my favorite thing to observe. 3. Ordered a Paneer Lababdaar and with Garlic Naan. It was decent and creamy with more cheese on the top. 4. Asked for slice onions and Lemon and they gave diced onions. The staff is very very kind and prompt. There were like two college going girls and a manager and all were very respectful and prompt. 5. Naan are not super with Maida and seemed light. Portions are smaller overall but still very tasty food. 6. Garlic Naan was a 5 but Paneer Lababdaar was a 3 rating. We asked for spicy but they got it mild only. Maybe cook cant make lababdaar spicy. 7. The place has the best Malai Kulfi I have tasted in Bay Area. Out of this world, 10 out of 5 but it is sweet so watch that sugar and order 1 for entire table. 8. Dont bother to give Tips in Indian Restaurants. I visited Kailash Parbat on a Sunday afternoon and was seated right away at around 1 PM. It got very crowded shortly after. We started with a chaat platter and some drinks, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food--it tasted just like what I had in India years ago. We also ordered the veg chili mili and tandoori roti, and I highly recommend the veg chili mili. Unfortunately, the tawa chapati was unavailable. It's wonderful to have this chain in Bay Area, as there is a lack of sit down restaurant for good Mumbai food. It is located in a new strip mall off 580, with multiple Indian restaurants, next to Kaiser permanente in Dublin. We ordered Mushroom Tikka and Dabeli for appetizers; We were skeptical tandoori flavors in mushroom, but it tasted very good. Dabeli was mouth watering with a burst of flavors- Very well done!! Chole Bhature was pretty standard and decent. Standout dish was for us was Diwani Handi, a pleasant surprise. I decided to give this place another chance but this was definitely the last time. Their service is super slow and yes it's busy but there are better ways to communicate that than just leave customers hanging. The cold coffee with ice cream is the only item from menu that is worth trying. Please don't waste money on veg hakka noodles or dahi chaat. Both items are subpar and taste like frozen food warmed up. The noodles were very dry and i couldn't even swallow without water. We decided to visit on New Years Eve for lunch. For the longest time, no one came by to introduce themselves as our wait staff. When he did, we requested a couple of hot waters. He disappeared again for a long time and finally came back with lukewarm water. We have been to many Asian restaurants, where they give us piping hot water. Now that is how it is done if you need a pointer. That is service. The Gobi Manchurian was just ok. It was crispy but lacked depth of flavor. The Samosa chaat appeared within 2 minutes of ordering, it was cold, which made me wonder if they even used fresh samosas. Plus it was swimming in yogurt, instead of the yogurt being one topping on the chaat., The chole bhatura was decent though. The misal pav claimed to have muth beans in it in the menu, but lo and behold, there were only green peas in the gravy. The most galling and amusing part of the experience was that we were served by a wait staff who was for some reason very sour. When he arrived with the food, he found a bottle blocking his way and tapped on it with his tray to indicate that we moved it, no talking. He did not mention which dish was which, just plopped it on the table and went away. No clearing away of dishes from our table. We noticed him looking disgustedly at the plates as he cleared away our neighboring table. The guy simply hates his job perhaps, who knows. Will we come back? Nope, there are plenty of great restaurants to try in East Bay. read more

Visited this new location of the popular chain and it was packed on a Saturday Service was decent and food was pretty good. The one exception was the paneer which only has a few pieces of paneer and the sauce tasted like it was from canned tomato paste. The veg Kadhai, dal makhani, and breads were really good as were the chaats. The portion on the chaat was a bit small, especially the papdi chaat. We also ordered a chili guava drink which for the price was not good. It wasn't cold and basically guava juice poured in a cup. Would have expected a colder more iced drink. It's more like how Indian food tastes in India. Pav bhaji was perfectly executed. Palak kichdi had amazing depth of flavor. Kofta were meltingly soft in a delicious gravy. The restaurant is essentially one big room, and the decor is cute with various signage and knick knacks on the walls. #Vada pav -- classic burger style dish with fried goodness on the inside. I came to grab a bite to eat and it was beyond spectacular. The food came fast and all tastes amazing. We were skeptical about the baby corn but since i usually love baby corn we ordered it. Unfortunately it wasn't for us. While walking by our server pavitar noticed we didn't touch the baby corn. He asked if there was something wrong we told him we just didn't like it. He quickly took it away and told us he would replace it with a different menu item. We said it was ok but he said that they care that customers are happy. Misal Pav, was not up to the mark even the ingredients were not close to the real thing. Pav Bhaji was missing the zing and spice . They put whole green peas on almost every street food items. Chaat was full of sweet tamarind sauce maybe the trick is to ask them to be a little easy on it. For the deserts I would highly recommend Kulfi Falooda, definitely one of best I have had. read more

My sister very often gets a nut allergy at restaurants due to cross contamination or them forgetting they put nuts in the food. At this place, that did not happen & they would often go back to the kitchen to check on which items did & did not have traces of nuts. Both veggies cost $14 each. So i would say avoid pickups or doordash orders from this restaurant. Even though it's Monday evening it's fully occupied. Both food and service is amazing. We have tried Samosa chaat, KP chaat platter, Bombay vada pav, Borivali ki Dabeli, French fries(for kids), Chole battuta, Hakka noodles, Manchuria. Every item is delicious and mouth watering.
