We were a group of 7 and got a variety of items. This is the 3rd time we ate at Baithak. The ambiance is really good. The service was quick and all the food was great. We had the bread basket, dahi papdi, kurkure bhindi, the kabab platter, kadhai paneer, kadhai chicken, paneer paratha and dal tadka with jeera rice. For drinks we had mango lassi, lychee mule, pineapple mojito. I would definitely recommend this place.

Really enjoyed the appetizers here. Ordered the biryani but found it very spicy even though it was described as as medium to mild, we're just not used to the spice! That said, the flavors are excellent. Looking forward to trying other entree dishes and hopefully they are lighter on the spice level! Plus, all the meats are halal.

If you're looking for authentic Northern Indian food, this place is worth a visit since the dishes are surely packed full of flavour. When you walk inside, I was getting Bollywood movie vibes. It was colourful, lively, and quite fun to eat in this environment. Portions were reasonable and the service was pleasant. I ordered the lamb chops served with naan and salad. The lamb was flavorful and tender. It had just the right level of spice. The cilantro chutney had quite a kick ~ definitely spicy! Next time I'd love to sit outside since the patio has a more romantic vibe. Either way, you get the best of both worlds for food and environment quality!

I ate here as part of a team building event. We were in a large group (15 people) but the staff did a great job managing our orders, making recommendations and making sure everyone was taken care of. I got the chicken korma and garlic naan, both were really good and were even better for left overs later in the day

Cute little spot with great ambiance, quick Service and good options to chose from, i felt the pricing was a bit higher for the quality and the quantity of the food. We went with seekh kebab, chicken curry, vadapav and naan. Naan was nice and fresh, vadapav was decent but I felt a bit greasy. Kebabs are great with decent amount of spice

Excellent North Indian cuisine, lamb chops and butter chicken to die for with generous portions. We came for lunch (party of 3) and elected to sit in the outdoor patio on a warm but pleasant afternoon. We ordered masala papad (very spicy and not for the faint of heart) some garlic naan and beef seekh kebab (comes with naan), followed by a very generous portion of the goat biryani ( which comes with raita and salan which is a tiny bowl of spicy curry sauce). The service was relaxed and typical of most Indian restaurants in the area. The food was lip smacking good and we had some leftovers for dinner.

-1 star for dirty place setting

Baithak is the new Indian restaurant taking over from Berevino on Dublin. Insides you have chandeliers, flatscreen TVs, and a brightly-lit dining room with open kitchen. The cuisine is Northern Indian, specifically in the area of Lucknow. So expects lots of dishes similar to Persian cuisine like kebabs and saffron rice along with classic Indian curries and tandoori dishes. I fame here for lunch while my car was being serviced and had to deduct an early start for seeing dirty napkins on a not-quite-full restaurant. The food itself was awesome however, so I'll definitely want to come back. One of my favorite chicken preparations go by various names - methi malai, malai, and Reshmi. Its normally yogurt marinated, sprinkled with herbs, and cooked in a tandoor or grill. Its white colored and looks plain but its super creamy and juicy. I was glad to order the kebab version of this which comes with soft naan, pickled veggies, salad, and a mint-parsley dipping sauce. Rice is extra so I went for the Persian-style yellow saffron rice. Like Berevino before it. they have a sizable bar with cocktails, mocktails, along with beer and wine. I can see it being a great dinner place. Being new, they have some early kinks to iron out but I did enjoy the food here.

The best kebabs i ever had in bay area. The staff was so kind and attentive. Gonna be back soon!

Baithak specializes in the kebabs and curries of Lucknow in North India. The cuisine here is meat-heavy and rich in dairy and spices, and the selection of breads is large and diverse. We started with the Chicken Malai Tikka, chunks of boneless dark meat chicken marinated in yogurt cheese and cooked to smoky perfection in a tandoor oven. The juicy charred meat was served over naan flatbread, along with kachumber salad, onions, and mint chutney. Lucknow is a city known for its biryani, and we tried the Lucknowi Goat Biryani, made of heavily spiced basmati rice with saffron covering large chunks of bone-in goat meat. The biryani was served with sides of raita (creamy yogurt) and salan curry sauce, which helped to balance out the flavors. But my favorite dish of all was the Awadhi Butter Chicken, made of boneless chunks of chicken tikka in a cashew tomato gravy made with khoya (dried milk solids) and cream. Needless to say, the curry was thick, rich, creamy, and luscious--a delicious indulgence! The Butter Chicken went nicely with the variety of flatbreads we ordered, including the thin and light Khameeri Naan (made with white flour) and Tandoori Roti (made with whole wheat flour). But my favorite flatbread was definitely the Warqi Parantha, a layered, flaky, and crispy flatbread that was perfect for soaking up the thick curry sauce. Overall, the flavors of the food here were bold and on point. The menu prices were on the high side, but the presentation, the lively atmosphere, and the friendly service were all highlights.

We took a quick to-go of their Malai Kofta, Awadhi Daal Makhani and Awadhi Mutton Korma. Every dish was tastefully different rom the others. Rich and decadent in their preparation. Truly fit for the Nawabs of Lucknow (Awadh) We will come down for a dine in meal very soon. The service and ambience fitted the royal cuisine they serve and we can't wait .

Malia Kofta - very delicate flavors

Fabulous Awadhi Cusine!!! We were in the area so ordered few items from the menu as Togo for later... people who are not aware of Awadhi cuisine just a small intro ... Awadhi cuisine is a culinary style that originated in the Awadh region of northern India, particularly around Lucknow. It's known for its rich, aromatic dishes, often featuring slow-cooked techniques like "dum pukht". Awadhi cuisine is a blend of Mughal, Persian, and local Indian cooking styles. They are known for various types of kebabs, biryani, korma, Niharis etc.... I walked in before they opened (11.30 am) but they graciously allowed me to put my order since it was a Togo . We ordered- Awadhi Daal Makhani - Black daal Goat Awadhi Korma - goat creamy curry Malai Kofta Everything we tried was excellent , very subtle flavors & the gravy was very rich it's just the way it's prepared. Goat was excellent very tender loved it. Malia Kofta had very delicate flavors excellent preparation, Awadhi Daal was so creamy just the way we love it perfectly prepared. We enjoyed all the three dishes can't wait to try their Kabab's & Biryani next.... They have decorated beautifully can't wait to comeback for the sit down experience...

We were…read morethe only party there when we arrived, and there were only about 3 tables total by the time we left, so it definitely felt empty for a weekend evening. First, the interior is beautiful. Whoever redid the old Coco Cabana space did an incredible job- every detail took my breath away. Dublin doesn't have many restaurants this upscale/chic, so it was a nice change of pace. The menu pulls from all different regions of India and plates everything in a really modern, elevated way. Our favorites were the pappad, chicken saoji, butter chicken, garlic naan, and payasam. What we ordered: - Papdi chaat (tableside, $42): So fun and unique to watch them make it tableside, and it tasted good, but $42 for a bowl of chaat felt steep. Realistically I'd pay $27-28 for this. The frozen yogurt in dry ice was a cool visual but honestly it would've tasted better as regular yogurt. - 3 types of chicken tikka masala ($22): Everyone else liked it but I thought the chicken was nothing special. Portion-wise, best for 2 people. It was awkward to cut each of the 3 flavors of chicken thigh into portions. - Pappad and chutney ($14): I LOVE papad with tamarind chutney and their basket had a nice variety of papad. Definitely recommend this one. - Laal Maas ($38): Didn't try it myself but heard it was extremely spicy and the goat was overly fatty. Wouldn't recommend based on the feedback from the table. - Chicken saoji ($34): Chicken and egg in a thick coconut sauce- a crowd pleaser, great if you love coconut curry. - Butter chicken ($32): I liked this a lot. Paired with their garlic naan (some of the best garlic naan I've ever had), it is crazy together. - Payasam ($15): My father-in-law's favorite item of the night similar to kheer seviyan with crispy fried vermicelli mixed into rice pudding. So, so good. We've been to upscale Indian restaurants in the Bay that have disappointed with beautiful interiors and lackluster food. Overall this was some of the best upscale Indian food we've had in the Bay, and the interior is genuinely gorgeous...but let's talk about the elephant in the room: this restaurant is in a Safeway shopping complex in suburban Dublin, nearby a Dave's Hot Chicken. It's a strange juxtaposition for a spot charging these prices. We spent $400 for 4 people, and while every dish was well-executed, the setting made it hard to justify fine-dining-level pricing. We also dined in a mostly empty restaurant on a weekend evening with club/house music playing throughout, which added to the disconnect between the price point and the actual experience. 5 stars for food and interior, but knocking off a star because the fine dining price tag doesn't match the suburban plaza setting.

Pakora of live chaat trays as so cold plus very hard to bite. Khaman dhokla added to it, was not nicely cooked. Attached some pictures here for presentation view. I tried their weekend special Non-Veg Thali, which came with mutton gravy, chicken gravy, rasam, mor, poriyal, pickle, chapathi, appalam, plus freshly made Chicken 65 and an omelette. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and homemade -- and all of this for just $16.99!! So far, this is honestly one of the best lunch thalis I've had anywhere in the Bay Area. Outstanding food and incredible value for the price. The ambience is also very pleasant, and the restaurant itself is quite spacious. It's a nice, comfortable, family-friendly place, which makes the overall dining experience even better. I also had a chance to meet and talk with Chef Mr. Siva. He was very humble, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food. I feel this is exactly the kind of restaurant that people should support and help grow. Before leaving, I also got a mutton biryani to-go. They gave me a small cup to taste beforehand, and based on that, I already know it's going to be really good!
