You order garlic naan after half an hour of waiting you go scream for ur order they bring you whatever naan is ready. Some part of order not delivered and when asked multiple times it was served without any apology. Kebabs are just sad. Don't even know the meaning of katchumbar salad. 19 bucks for 4 soggy pieces of tikki is just looting business as my FIL would have said. Gravies were pretty basic run of the mill kind of. We have been meaning to try this restaurant for a while, and it was a big disappointment! Baithak, looks like a high-end restaurant, the food quality was terrible, we ordered 3 dishes, they ALL tasted the same, mutton kabab, the chicken was supposed to be a wrap, but it was 3 chicken thighs sitting on top of a very chewy naan. All the naans were very chewy. The sabzee was not tasty at all. The drinks are served in plastic cups, no formal napkins, but paper napkins. The waitress never came back to check on us. Clearly not freshly made. Chicken pieces in biryani and curry were huge and as expected it didn't absorb flavors. Was hard to cut and eat. Taste was bland. Raitha on the side was just curd with some powder sprinkled. Hoping chaat might be better, ordered Dahi puri. Big plate with 5 small puris and no fillings except curd, few drops of mint chutney and 2/3 pomegranate seeds. Worst one I ever tasted in my life. $11 for 5 bland puris. Please do not order this. I naturally compare flavors to what I grew up with, and this meal really stood out. Please avoid at all costs. Not worth the hype at all. 1. No lucknavi hospitality. It is a self serve place for cutlery, plates etc. they only serve the food to your table. 2. We ordered the kabab platter - the broccoli was stale and had a pungent odor. The paneer was bland - no salt or spices. The tikki was old and barely warm. This was clearly food that was cooked last night and barely heated and thrown together on a plate for us. Are you kidding me? I paid $40 for this piece of shit. 3. The presentation sucked - served in an aluminum tray. No chutney or dipping sauces with the kababs. I have never in my life sent a dish back to a restaurant's kitchen. But I could not eat this. Our experience was not negative, but also not memorable. I do remember we ordered the lamb shank nihari, which smelled very lamby and didn't have the normal spices, flavors, and taste that I am accustomed to whenever I eat nihari. Probably the worst service ever, first of all, the resturent is running having lack of servers and staff nobody knows who is the server or if there is any manager if any, the whole resturent has servers on the floor including one guy who pretends to be a manager but was lost every time you call him. Second of all, the food was total disappointment, the food was cold, arrived without any sense of taste and wasn't edible at all for which I believe an inspection from health department is warranted. Third of all, despite worst services and lack of staff, they still have guts to charge you gratuity despite the fact you are sitting with toddlers. So if you are 5 members in the family with kids, these unethical and unprofessional resturent is going to charge you gratuity as a matter of fact my kids didn't even eat at your place. Also even if you wanna charge gratuity, you gotta recruit some additional staff with top notch services. You cannot charge gratuity arbitrary with three servers on the floor taking care of all the table inside. read more

I approached the front counter and asked for a refill. They brought a new diet soda out to me as I was sitting outside: as we were leaving, the front counter lady chased us down in the parking lot demanding that we pay for our refill. The ambiance didn't align with the odd policy of requiring guests to place their full order before being seated. We expected to relax, settle in, and order at our pace -- instead, we were rushed into making decisions upfront. There were no kid-friendly options on the menu, which made it even more difficult for families. The food was the worst part. We ordered paneer tikka and chicken malai tikka -- and the chicken was completely undercooked, visibly pink inside. It was inedible. When we informed the server, he was skeptical and began cutting into the chicken to "check" as if we were exaggerating, which felt very disrespectful. He eventually brought a new plate within 5-7 minutes, but the replacement was just as undercooked. Serving raw chicken is not just poor service -- it's a serious health risk. Baithak is something special. From the moment I walked in, I knew this wasn't just another restaurant--what a food experience. The food? Absolutely mind-blowing. I'm still thinking about it. I started with the Broccoli Malai Tikka, and wow--who knew broccoli could be this good? Creamy, smoky, and full of flavor. Then came the Lazeez Pasliyan... and let's just say I didn't stop at one. Or two. I had three of these insanely tender, perfectly marinated ribs. No regrets. And the Murgh Chandani Boti Tikka? Easily one of the best chicken I've ever had--juicy, packed with spices, and cooked to perfection. Also I requested extra spicy as I love more theeka. One suggestion I have is to keep napkins at table too, it was hard to get up when enjoying food with hands to get up. Other than it was perfect.
