Love stumbling on places like this. Do not let the Yelp reviews let you down. Quite a diverse menu. How many Indian restaurants have you been to that have pomfret on the menu? This place does. Their chicken tikka was very flavorful and tasted great even for leftovers. It was accompanied by flavorful garlic naan. The Mysore Masala dosa was nice and the potato filling was spicy which I like. The sambar was flavorful too. Kids loved the mango lassi while I enjoyed drinking the traditional spicy chaas. The rose lassi was enjoyed by the kids as well. Owner Jagan used to work for many years at the highly acclaimed Taj and Oberoi hotels as a chef and he used to consult for restaurants, assisting with setting up operations. Jagan has decided to start his own restaurant business in an unpretentious setting and this is his first restaurant. He now has 3-4. Prices are reasonable and catering is nice too. Give them a try. I should have walked out of the place when I saw no one in there at brunch time on Saturday. There were cockroaches in the place both the dining area and the bathrooms. In short, ordered egg / omelet dosa and uttapum. The omelet dosa was under cooked and the egg was liquid, and the uttapum it did not look or taste like a uttapum. The sambar was extremely salty. All in all, I would say this place is average. I really wanted to give them a better review but the food was oversalted + not as flavorful as we would like. We got our food to go so did not get to experience what in-person dining would be like but I would budget for more time because it seemed like even when we ordered something to go it took a bit long for the food to come out. read more

A friend recommended this place. We did a take out. While their gobi 65 could have been more savory, the Bajji biryani was excellent.

Had food catered from this restaurant for an event. The quantity of food for the price was good. The food was fresh but too oily and spicy. The biryani rice did not have any meat flavor. It seemed like it was sauce mixed in cooked rice and heated in an oven. The gobi Manchurian was too spicy. The service was timely. Looking at the interior of the restaurant the ambiance was good and clean, given it is a new restaurant. Why won't they stop selling stale food with smelly meats. Goat biryani was overly salty, raita had triple the needed salt. Goat itself was tough, chewy and stinky. They forgot to season Chicken 65, it was just tasteless chunks of deep fried chicken. We did take out as it's not a sit down spot. Sadly, we ended tossing all the food, won't be back. read more

Food tasted great but first of all wish they used labels. Could not tell which Biryani is which when I got home. Also the food took forever!! Wish I read the reviews before hand and realized the place was normally late with orders. Would have saved me an extra 30 minutes of waiting. My wife and I were walking by this restaurant when we noticed the doors were open, even though the place was closed. I asked the owner if I could take a look at the menu, and he kindly agreed. My wife then asked another gentleman working there if she could use the restroom, and he also said yes. While she was in the restroom, I told the owner that the menu looked great and that I would definitely come back to order something when they were open. To my surprise, the owner then approached me and said the restroom was for customers only. I politely explained that his employee had already told us it was okay for my wife to use it. He then became irate, shouting at me and accusing me of only looking at the menu so my wife could use the restroom. When there are many other restaurants nearby that she could have used His response was completely uncalled for, and his rude behavior left a bad impression. What a disappointment. we placed an order just like always we ordered Vijaywada chicken Briyani, my husband had to call twice to change the size and make sure the spice level is mild. we have always had enjoyed this briyani and never had an issue.( have never tried any other briyani). We pick our order and reach home to find out they gave us vijaywada paneer briyani. I called and oh my God the guy I spoke was not only rude, and disrespectful, but also kept saying your husband ordered paneer go ask him. I told him I am letting you complete and now let me complete what I have to say, he kept interrupting and kept saying why your husband ordered that if you wanted chicken. he kept screaming and I had to tell him we all make mistakes but this is not how business is done. The service was extremely friendly and quick. The biryani was flavorful and the chicken was tender.

I have been eating with Biriyani Spot and so far its very good. Today, I had to get some Biryani (Paneer, Gongura and Gobi) along with Malai Koftha. Altogether, all the food was too salty. Rice was broken. Additionally, while the restaurant opens at 11:00, I called them a bit early so that I can get it by 30 mins. I had to wait for additional ~15 mins. Can imagine as to why I did not see a single soul dine in today. Today, does not seem to be my day :( read more

Ordered biryani tray for an event. Everyone liked the food. The biryani wasn't really dum style biryani, but however, it had a very deep flavors. Some generous amount of whole spices to add to the aroma. I liked this style of biryani. IDK why people are complaining about spicy and oily food, but isn't that what you expect when you order food from a restaurant? Biryani made with less fat and spices wouldn't really be biryani. For me, the biryani was midly spicy and not where I needed coke to gulp it down. This is my favorite biryani spot. Our go-to spot these days. Love their thokku biryani, special biryani and almost all the chicken biryanis and mushroom biryani, very flavorful. Appetizers are great too. They have been consistent with taste. I'm surprised at all the negative reviews here. Please do try out this place and decide. read more

Should have walked out the moment I walked into an empty restaurant at 12noon on a Friday. Gave it the benefit of the doubt and ordered a biryani and fish dish. Why are most Indian restaurants resorting to disposable plates and utensils??? Anyways, biryani came out piping hot...think microwave hot. Tried one mouthful and it was bone dry with no flavors. It was just rice loaded with cloves. I and my wife could not eat it. Fish was bad as well. Decided to not spoil our lunch so we left without eating what we had ordered and paid for before hand. Great food and service. Vibes were nice. Would recommend this place as it is one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to.

The non veg thali was mind blowing. It was so good. I am so happy that I got to try it. The price for the food was really affordable because there was so much food left. I will be back to try more items on the menu. read more
