    Sri Kanya Chicken Biryani/Bone

The biryani I ordered came with metal scrubber pieces , so we we had to throw the food away. Never will I try food from this place. I ordered via Uber Eats and the pics are added for reference. Questionable hygiene practices! Stay away!

The receipt indicates they knew all three dishes were meant to be made MILD. None of them were!

Order from here ONLY if you like spicy food with lots of chilis in it. The easiest way to get a low rating is to ignore your customers needs. And Biryani Bistro - Dublin certainly earned their two star rating. Which is a shame, because I really wanted to like this local establishment. I specifically asked for food to be made mild. And repeated it two more times to make sure it sunk in. The receipt indicates they did. Unfortunately, they ignored my request. The daal makhani was ridiculously spicy with an over abundance of red chili. The saag paneer was only a notch below that. Which meant neither my wife nor our kids could eat these two dishes. The butter chicken was tolerable (though closer to medium spicy than mild) and they ended up eating mostly this, with lots of naan. Won't be coming back.

We have ordered the paneer biriyani (family pack) and Gobi 65! Overall I am amazed by the quantity. The family pack comes with pakoras, Gulab Jamun in addition to raita. The serving is enough for a family of 3-4. Now coming to the taste, the biriyani is Hyderabad style, gravy soaked rice on the bottom and white rice on the top. Didn't like the raw onion in biriyani but other than that, overall I like the biriyani. The paneer tastes and looks like tofu, not a paneer. But this happened to me many times from "Indian" restaurants so I just let it slide. Overall taste wise the biriyani is a 4 out of 5. I chose mild and we got mild as well. Gobi 65 is a bit dry for my taste but there are plenty of cauliflower seasoned and cooked perfectly. Overall taste wise both of the dishes are good. The pakoras on the side are very crunchy, so an unexpected surprise! I would highly recommend this place and looking forward to trying other biriyanis as well. I took off one star due to the disguise of tofu as paneer!

First time ordered from here using DoorDash and bit disappointed. I ordered chicken Biryani and Lamb curry. Since there is Chicken and Lamb in the name you would think I will receive some meat in the dishes. But no, barely anything. Lamb curry had 3-4 chunks of bone, barely any meat. Taste was good but without any meat just bone it was very disappointing.

One dish that truly stood out and has now become my absolute favorite is their pepper chicken. Perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, the chicken was tender and juicy, complemented by a delightful peppery kick that was just the right amount of spice. Each bite was a taste sensation that left me wanting more. Telugu vallu andaru, idhi mana side dhaba lo dorike pepper chicken style, crispness and spiciness yummy.

I have yet to try their biryani. But recently we visited boba bliss and saw the live stall. We ate pani puri and dosa. Every thing tasted so yummy. We would definitely go back for dosa and chaat. Update : I ordered take out. We were very disappointed with the overly sweet Malai Koft dish. It felt like a sweet dish instead of a savory main dish. Naans were bit too thick and hard to eat. There Biryani is really yummy. And family size gets you a good quantity.

Another day, another Desi restaurant checked off. Since we had Vegetarian the previous time, we opted for Biriyani during our return leg of our journey. This place was in close proximity to the hotel we were residing at. It is a laid back authentic Andhra tasting Biriyani restaurant. Mrs. and I loved our biriyani from here. We ordered a Chicken and Goat Dum biriyani. Salan and Raitha paired superbly with the dishes. Ian had a Garlic and a Butter naan. He kept raving about how crunchy and tasty his naans were. *Laughs* Check this restaurant for authentic biriyani guys!

We were…read morethe only party there when we arrived, and there were only about 3 tables total by the time we left, so it definitely felt empty for a weekend evening. First, the interior is beautiful. Whoever redid the old Coco Cabana space did an incredible job- every detail took my breath away. Dublin doesn't have many restaurants this upscale/chic, so it was a nice change of pace. The menu pulls from all different regions of India and plates everything in a really modern, elevated way. Our favorites were the pappad, chicken saoji, butter chicken, garlic naan, and payasam. What we ordered: - Papdi chaat (tableside, $42): So fun and unique to watch them make it tableside, and it tasted good, but $42 for a bowl of chaat felt steep. Realistically I'd pay $27-28 for this. The frozen yogurt in dry ice was a cool visual but honestly it would've tasted better as regular yogurt. - 3 types of chicken tikka masala ($22): Everyone else liked it but I thought the chicken was nothing special. Portion-wise, best for 2 people. It was awkward to cut each of the 3 flavors of chicken thigh into portions. - Pappad and chutney ($14): I LOVE papad with tamarind chutney and their basket had a nice variety of papad. Definitely recommend this one. - Laal Maas ($38): Didn't try it myself but heard it was extremely spicy and the goat was overly fatty. Wouldn't recommend based on the feedback from the table. - Chicken saoji ($34): Chicken and egg in a thick coconut sauce- a crowd pleaser, great if you love coconut curry. - Butter chicken ($32): I liked this a lot. Paired with their garlic naan (some of the best garlic naan I've ever had), it is crazy together. - Payasam ($15): My father-in-law's favorite item of the night similar to kheer seviyan with crispy fried vermicelli mixed into rice pudding. So, so good. We've been to upscale Indian restaurants in the Bay that have disappointed with beautiful interiors and lackluster food. Overall this was some of the best upscale Indian food we've had in the Bay, and the interior is genuinely gorgeous...but let's talk about the elephant in the room: this restaurant is in a Safeway shopping complex in suburban Dublin, nearby a Dave's Hot Chicken. It's a strange juxtaposition for a spot charging these prices. We spent $400 for 4 people, and while every dish was well-executed, the setting made it hard to justify fine-dining-level pricing. We also dined in a mostly empty restaurant on a weekend evening with club/house music playing throughout, which added to the disconnect between the price point and the actual experience. 5 stars for food and interior, but knocking off a star because the fine dining price tag doesn't match the suburban plaza setting.

Dedicated 1 person assisting may be coz of less occupied. Vegetarian friendly. We ordered Malai Kofta, Paneer Parat, Saag, Assorted bread Basket, live chaat tray, Biryani, Mango lassi and other drinks. Overall food taste was good but I would say live chaat tray was pathetic. Pakora of live chaat trays as so cold plus very hard to bite. Khaman dhokla added to it, was not nicely cooked. Attached some pictures here for presentation view. Walked around the building looking for the entrance. Tripped at least once on uneven payment. Upon entering I was greeted, given a menu, assigned a seat at the bar. Never saw him again. 5ish minutes later, waitress came over to inquire what I wanted to drink. "Water" i replied. Water came 12 minutes later with my food. Offerings: South India fare: soup, entrees, salads, entrees, vegetarian, non-vegetarian. Also pasta, India habachi. Bites: Dakshin Chicken Chettinad (18.99) med. Spicy. Small bowl with big spoon -boneless chicken pieces slowly braised in a savory with many spices (garlic, cumin, black pepper, star anise, funnel seeds, kok slaps...), south curry leaves, and coconut. Every bite deliz. -very condensed savory mix with plentiful Unami. Hotness from peppers not chilis. Tandoori garlic naan (3.99) ordered this. Got plain. Tasted plain. Not spiciness. Today, I happened to be nearby and finally got the opportunity to stop by -- and I'm so glad I did! I tried their weekend special Non-Veg Thali, which came with mutton gravy, chicken gravy, rasam, mor, poriyal, pickle, chapathi, appalam, plus freshly made Chicken 65 and an omelette. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and homemade -- and all of this for just $16.99!! So far, this is honestly one of the best lunch thalis I've had anywhere in the Bay Area. Outstanding food and incredible value for the price. The ambience is also very pleasant, and the restaurant itself is quite spacious. It's a nice, comfortable, family-friendly place, which makes the overall dining experience even better. I also had a chance to meet and talk with Chef Mr. Siva. He was very humble, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food. I feel this is exactly the kind of restaurant that people should support and help grow. Before leaving, I also got a mutton biryani to-go. They gave me a small cup to taste beforehand, and based on that, I already know it's going to be really good! I'm giving this review 5 stars because that's the maximum Yelp allows, but honestly, the food, freshness, quality, and value here deserve 7 stars -- or whatever the highest rating you can name!
