Picked up samosas and rotis from here. Looks like a nice family-owned spot that serves up yummy food. The samosas were really good. Fresh, not overwhelmingly spicy like most spots and they were a hit with the group and went fast. The rotis were fresh and tasty as well.

4/8/2022: Upon the countless road trips visiting my Mother who resided in SF Bay Area, this is one place on my bucket list I knew I must visit! En route to Placerville, I stopped by knowing I needed purchasing rice; I decided buying the rice at Enker's. Outside Enker's, on display were so many fruit tree varieties for sale never seen at any Placerville/Tri-Counties' nurseries: Furthermore, I was visually stunned and deeply impressed by seeing first-hand exotic, fruit trees I haven't seen anywhere in USA except, the countries I've visited in the past! I will return purchasing bare-root fruit trees this coming fall 2022.

My family loves plants so we decided to drop by this place after seeing ads for the plants they sell here. The store sells Indian groceries, exotic fruits, exotic plants, and Indian food. We got a couple of sapodilla to take home and eat as well as some Indian dishes. The dishes were all very good but my favorite was the samosa. I love Indian samosa and this place made it very good! The owner of the store was very friendly and helpful. He made sure that we picked good fruit and also recommended us what dishes to order.

Though not officially advertised, I think the place is Punjabi, the rajma chawal is a clear giveaway. The biggest compliment I can give them is that the food was not overly spiced or oiled, which a majority of Indian restaurants are guilty of in order to satisfy the customers. I find that to be 'cheating' in a way, where they are not confident of their abilities to truly shine through the flavor of the dish they're cooking. Clove instead brings out the authentic flavors of the different dishes, like the dal and the aloo by using gentle spices, kadi patta and a bit of ghee. It's like having dessert in Asian countries and actually tasting the underlying flavors like ube, or lemon, or matcha, and not just tasting an overload of sugar. Another funny note. My wife's stomach felt totally fine after, and she usually is queasy after rich restaurant food, especially Indian. Also loved that the roti did not come lathered in ghee and came plain with some simple onions on top. Very authentic. Service was fantastic.

We were way late for our dinner reservation but the manager, Aman(?!) was warm and welcoming. The bartender (name?) also doubled as a server. Very helpful with our cocktail orders. Extensive bar. After years, I was served my straight single malt in a chilled glass. Without having to ask! The server, William, is one of the best trained servers that I have come across. Ever. Thoughtful. Efficient. Attentive but not intrusive. (What's a guy like him doing in a place like this! ) The chef (name?) sent each dish out looking elegant. There were six of us, so we had three appetizers, four entrees and a dessert. Impressive plating! He visited us at the table to ensure everyone was happy. As you may know from my reviews, the experience is more important to me than the food. Given that this is a "mall restaurant!," I was blown away! Raj was the only server, and although he is excellent, it was a challenge for him to support the 20+ customers across 6 - 7 tables. This location has a new restaurant every few years. Cleanliness: although the dining area was fine, the rest rooms and passages need work. Okay, now the best part! The food was delicious! We ordered beer, multiple appetizers, entrees, different rotis and desserts. They ranged from good to excellent! The favorite was the badami chicken. The gravy for the tawa chicken tasted amazing, but there was hardly any chicken there. Got a mumbled reply when we pointed that out. The food came out slow and staggered, even with the robot runner. One of the chutneys though was really super greasy.. not sure if it was a tomato chutney or what, wasn't pickle as it didn't have much flavor. Breads were ok. The biryani was a bit regretful and didn't hit the spot. Both my wife and I made trips to the bathroom very shortly after lunch (! We'd both already gone..) and we both have strong stomachs and eat Indian food/lots of spice very regularly. Maybe the oil? Definitely room for improvement. Btw this was a Door Dash order and came incredibly fast and hot so service on the takeout was solid. Packaging of the food was good as well so no complaints there. I had gone by the restaurant and it looks decent, in a shopping center. But with other Indian restaurants so close, some further like the Clove (Soo good, highly recommend it) opening, Star Chaat (always solid), and Mylapore (south Indian delicious quick eats) -granted these are all veg places! -- .. this is a tough sell on the food.

We sat down and while browsing the menu briefly, we realized the options were are vegetarian and there were no meat options. My partner was slightly disappointed, but he ordered one of the thali options, and I ended up getting the chole bhature. The thali was a bit underwhelming, the daal was alright, but other curry dishes were not super appetizing and there was one sauce that seemed a bit sour and watery. However, I couldn't identify the distinct flavors, so it wasn't something that left an impression. I did enjoy the kheer (rice pudding), as my partner is not a fan of dessert. The chole bhature was our favorite, as the fresh, puffy bread and the chickpea curry was spicy and flavorful and we enjoyed it quite a bit. I had initially planned to order something else, and ended up changing my mind last minute. I'm glad we tried the chole bhature, totally worth it! The bhel puri (puffed rice) dish that came with the thali was pretty good too, as it had a nice mix of toppings & savory flavors. Customer service was excellent and attentive, I had mentioned that we had a reservation and were short on time, so they were quick with bringing out our order. They did initially forget the tea that was part of the thali, but I alerted a staff member and they brought it out promptly. Same thing for requesting the check or asking for take out boxes, it was efficient and the restaurant staff were helpful and friendly. It's also great the restaurant offers monthly specials, and the interior was pretty standard but had a good amount of seating. I'd likely return to try other chaat items on the menu. Possibly worth visiting if you're in the area and looking for a flavorful, vegetarian meal.

We came here on a Sunday at 5PM with a party of 4 to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday. We were…read morethe only party there when we arrived, and there were only about 3 tables total by the time we left, so it definitely felt empty for a weekend evening. First, the interior is beautiful. Whoever redid the old Coco Cabana space did an incredible job- every detail took my breath away. Dublin doesn't have many restaurants this upscale/chic, so it was a nice change of pace. The menu pulls from all different regions of India and plates everything in a really modern, elevated way. Our favorites were the pappad, chicken saoji, butter chicken, garlic naan, and payasam. What we ordered: - Papdi chaat (tableside, $42): So fun and unique to watch them make it tableside, and it tasted good, but $42 for a bowl of chaat felt steep. Realistically I'd pay $27-28 for this. The frozen yogurt in dry ice was a cool visual but honestly it would've tasted better as regular yogurt. - 3 types of chicken tikka masala ($22): Everyone else liked it but I thought the chicken was nothing special. Portion-wise, best for 2 people. It was awkward to cut each of the 3 flavors of chicken thigh into portions. - Pappad and chutney ($14): I LOVE papad with tamarind chutney and their basket had a nice variety of papad. Definitely recommend this one. - Laal Maas ($38): Didn't try it myself but heard it was extremely spicy and the goat was overly fatty. Wouldn't recommend based on the feedback from the table. - Chicken saoji ($34): Chicken and egg in a thick coconut sauce- a crowd pleaser, great if you love coconut curry. - Butter chicken ($32): I liked this a lot. Paired with their garlic naan (some of the best garlic naan I've ever had), it is crazy together. - Payasam ($15): My father-in-law's favorite item of the night similar to kheer seviyan with crispy fried vermicelli mixed into rice pudding. So, so good. We've been to upscale Indian restaurants in the Bay that have disappointed with beautiful interiors and lackluster food. Overall this was some of the best upscale Indian food we've had in the Bay, and the interior is genuinely gorgeous...but let's talk about the elephant in the room: this restaurant is in a Safeway shopping complex in suburban Dublin, nearby a Dave's Hot Chicken. It's a strange juxtaposition for a spot charging these prices. We spent $400 for 4 people, and while every dish was well-executed, the setting made it hard to justify fine-dining-level pricing. We also dined in a mostly empty restaurant on a weekend evening with club/house music playing throughout, which added to the disconnect between the price point and the actual experience. 5 stars for food and interior, but knocking off a star because the fine dining price tag doesn't match the suburban plaza setting.

The taste and quality are good but the quantity is very less. For the price point a costumer should get a lot more. You can go to Pippal for its ambience and good service, but you will need to order more than you usually do or you will go home hungry!
