Great food and service. Only 25 odd seats and a small footprint about 800-1000 as feet but food options are aplenty for both veg and non veg - almost 50-70 menu items. Located in a strip mall so ambiance is ordinary but hygienic and clean.

This place is good. South Indian food, so it's different than we usually get here in the US. The butter chicken had incredible flavor, but wasn't the rich, creamy style. More like a gravy. The rice was flavorful, but watch out for the very strong herbs (nice but overwhelming when you bite into one. The naan wasn't very good. Chewy and under flavored.

Literally had the BEST service. I stopped by for a solo lunch, and the employee there was super sweet, whipped up a delicious dosa, and also brought out a complimentary dessert! He answered any questions I had and was patient about anything I needed and kept checking in to make sure I didn't need anything. I went in when it was quiet and literally started watching Netflix while I ate, and I just enjoyed the ambiance, service and dining experience I had on my solo date!

Chicken (Thokka, I think) Biryani

I'm so excited for our neighborhood to have this restaurant. I went two days in a row because I wanted to try more stuff on the menu. Biryani and Dosa specializes in Southern Indian food while most other Indian buffet places with Tandoori and curries have North Indian cuisine. The atmosphere is more casual with ordering at the counter and eating out of disposable containers and plastic utensils. It seems like a mom and pop establishment offering authentic first generation cuisine so definitely great to support. I was delighted to find the food was fresh and flavorful and also important for me they were able to accommodate different spiciness levels. I tried the samosas which were flaky and hot. I also tried a chicken biryani and goat biryani. It was surprising that they looked completely different so it wasn't just meat assembled in generic rice. Both were delicious with a full flavor profile. The meat is in the bottom with a thick blanket of rice on top. The rice was fluffy and nothing was greasy. Beware my mild level still accumulated a good amount of heat over my meal but it wasn't intolerable for me and worth the experience. The pepper chicken appetizer was also unique and tasty. We also tried a kaseri dessert that was a perfect mixture of mild sweetness and texture and maybe nuttiness... I've never tried this before but I think it was a good one. Lastly for drinks we tried the mango lassi which was premade and sitting in the fridge. Overall we had a great experience. I definitely want to go back for more and try the other things on the menu like idly, uttapam and dosa and curry. I love dosa with is like a thin savory crepe/pancake rolled up with your choice of stuffing. There are so many options for biryani ( I think more than thirty!). I'm not Indian so I needed to ask for descriptions but yeah everything we tried was super yummy. I can see it will be fun to make our way through the menu. We also had plenty of leftovers for later.

The ambiance here is incredible, but I just get takeout because the food is so good! (And because…read moremy kids are wild). The interior is gorgeous and would be a great place for a date or celebratory dinner. Their food though is next level, it really is well above the typical indian food around. The saag with paneer is so much smoother and richer, and the chicken tikka salad is really healthy and not greasy, while having a ton of flavor. But what gets me every time is the papadum. Here they serve it with a tomato-onion salsa which is delicious and light. Love takeout from here!

Butter Chicken had a really good depth of flavor albeit there should have been more chicken with gravy/curry imo. The reason this isn't a 4 or 5 star was unfortunately the Lamb Chops. Flavor was good. However there were issues: - Baby Lamb Chops as opposed to the Bigger Lamb Chops shown in the image on DoorDash. - It was dry and not juicy - it was cold, lukewarm. Weird since the location wasn't that far from my place (Short drive - should've been hot or atleast warm) - Low Quality Lamb: Could tell it was New Zealand lamb that is typically lean, gamey, and low quality. I would recommend buying American/Domestic lamb as it's meatier, juicier, and tastier imo. It would help justify your cost in the menu imo.

We came here on a Sunday at 5PM with a party of 4 to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday. We were…read morethe only party there when we arrived, and there were only about 3 tables total by the time we left, so it definitely felt empty for a weekend evening. First, the interior is beautiful. Whoever redid the old Coco Cabana space did an incredible job- every detail took my breath away. Dublin doesn't have many restaurants this upscale/chic, so it was a nice change of pace. The menu pulls from all different regions of India and plates everything in a really modern, elevated way. Our favorites were the pappad, chicken saoji, butter chicken, garlic naan, and payasam. What we ordered: - Papdi chaat (tableside, $42): So fun and unique to watch them make it tableside, and it tasted good, but $42 for a bowl of chaat felt steep. Realistically I'd pay $27-28 for this. The frozen yogurt in dry ice was a cool visual but honestly it would've tasted better as regular yogurt. - 3 types of chicken tikka masala ($22): Everyone else liked it but I thought the chicken was nothing special. Portion-wise, best for 2 people. It was awkward to cut each of the 3 flavors of chicken thigh into portions. - Pappad and chutney ($14): I LOVE papad with tamarind chutney and their basket had a nice variety of papad. Definitely recommend this one. - Laal Maas ($38): Didn't try it myself but heard it was extremely spicy and the goat was overly fatty. Wouldn't recommend based on the feedback from the table. - Chicken saoji ($34): Chicken and egg in a thick coconut sauce- a crowd pleaser, great if you love coconut curry. - Butter chicken ($32): I liked this a lot. Paired with their garlic naan (some of the best garlic naan I've ever had), it is crazy together. - Payasam ($15): My father-in-law's favorite item of the night similar to kheer seviyan with crispy fried vermicelli mixed into rice pudding. So, so good. We've been to upscale Indian restaurants in the Bay that have disappointed with beautiful interiors and lackluster food. Overall this was some of the best upscale Indian food we've had in the Bay, and the interior is genuinely gorgeous...but let's talk about the elephant in the room: this restaurant is in a Safeway shopping complex in suburban Dublin, nearby a Dave's Hot Chicken. It's a strange juxtaposition for a spot charging these prices. We spent $400 for 4 people, and while every dish was well-executed, the setting made it hard to justify fine-dining-level pricing. We also dined in a mostly empty restaurant on a weekend evening with club/house music playing throughout, which added to the disconnect between the price point and the actual experience. 5 stars for food and interior, but knocking off a star because the fine dining price tag doesn't match the suburban plaza setting.

The restaurant is high end and the service and ambiance are great. But if we talk about the food…read moreit's very good but does not meet the quality of the service and ambiance. The taste and quality are good but the quantity is very less. For the price point a costumer should get a lot more. We ordered the chicken tikka trio, it has alot of potential but u only get 3 small chicken nuggets size portion for $28. That is kind of unacceptable. You can go to Pippal for its ambience and good service, but you will need to order more than you usually do or you will go home hungry!

I was…read morecurious about the menu options and it seemed pretty popular from the amount of people at the restaurant, so we opted to dine in. We sat down and while browsing the menu briefly, we realized the options were are vegetarian and there were no meat options. My partner was slightly disappointed, but he ordered one of the thali options, and I ended up getting the chole bhature. The thali was a bit underwhelming, the daal was alright, but other curry dishes were not super appetizing and there was one sauce that seemed a bit sour and watery. However, I couldn't identify the distinct flavors, so it wasn't something that left an impression. I did enjoy the kheer (rice pudding), as my partner is not a fan of dessert. The chole bhature was our favorite, as the fresh, puffy bread and the chickpea curry was spicy and flavorful and we enjoyed it quite a bit. I had initially planned to order something else, and ended up changing my mind last minute. I'm glad we tried the chole bhature, totally worth it! The bhel puri (puffed rice) dish that came with the thali was pretty good too, as it had a nice mix of toppings & savory flavors. Customer service was excellent and attentive, I had mentioned that we had a reservation and were short on time, so they were quick with bringing out our order. They did initially forget the tea that was part of the thali, but I alerted a staff member and they brought it out promptly. Same thing for requesting the check or asking for take out boxes, it was efficient and the restaurant staff were helpful and friendly. It's also great the restaurant offers monthly specials, and the interior was pretty standard but had a good amount of seating. I'd likely return to try other chaat items on the menu. Possibly worth visiting if you're in the area and looking for a flavorful, vegetarian meal.
