    Everything bagel with cream cheese
    rich c.

Service was quick. The entrance is a little confusing in that there is a divider but you're supposed to order at the register but then not sure where to stand waiting for your food. This is a really good bagel. Good chew. Outer shell has a little bit of crispiness that is what I just absolutely love. The everything bagel with cream cheese is my go-to to compare. They seem to whip their cream cheese a bit more which actually makes it nice and fluffy. The everything seasoning is pretty uniform. Impressive. Good job people!

I heard about Cheech's Bagels over Instagram and decided to walk over to try them out since we had the day off. I like that you order at the cashier, which is kind of unlike every other bagel spot in the neighborhood. I had the egg and cheese on an egg bagel and this was really good. I really liked that the eggs had a soft scrambled texture. The tots with the all day sauce was fantastic. I would get that sauce on the side and put it on everything. There's plenty of seating inside and the place is super cozy. I think it's also the only bagel spot in the area that has indoor seating.

My trip to Cheech's Bagels was great. I was apprehensive about finding a parking spot but I lucked out. Walked the few blocks and found it very close to Holland Tunnel. Signage reminiscent of Cheers. Greeted by a friendly server. I ordered a French toast bagel with sausage egg and cheese and an iced coffee. Promptly served up with a smile. Sat down and noticed the sandwich had scrambled eggs rather than the usual fried eggs. I bit in and it was yummy. The bagel was chewy and crunchy. Really had a nice French Toast taste a d was covered in powdered sugar. Sausage was thick cut and excellent. The scrambled eggs tasted good but made the sandwich messy. Still powered through. I would come back here again but next time I'm asking for a fried egg. Bagel selection very traditional but they had some interesting options for lunch for a future trip.

16oz Iced Draft Oat Milk Latte (~$6)
    Aya E.

Ordered: 16oz Iced Draft Oat Milk Latte (~$6) The Lox (~$16): cucumbers, tomato, capers, red onions, dill, chives, salmon lox, and regular cream cheese; on an everything bagel, toasted & scooped Aya's take: It's been a while since I've had a NY/NJ-style bagel so as soon as that craving hit, I found myself at Cheech's. It was 10:30am on a Sunday so as you can imagine, they were busy. However, it didn't seem like they were so busy that I had to wait 20 minutes for my order. While waiting, I observed a lot of inefficiencies particularly around the food delivery platforms. They really need to have those go to a separate line for pick up and separate kitchen staff (at least during rush hour). I got the 16oz Iced Draft Oat Milk Latte which is by La Colombe. I've had this before and it tasted exactly as I expected. It was light, creamy, and gave me the caffeine kick I needed. I'm so happy to say the wait was worth it because The Lox was actually so good! It came with all the toppings you could want on this classic sandwich - from the fresh salmon lox to tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions. They put a healthy amount of cream cheese and my only complaint here is that I wish I was able to choose which cream cheese flavor I want (maybe I can but that didn't seem like an option when I was looking at the menu online). Also, The Lox seemed to be an #iykyk order because it wasn't listed anywhere in the store. The everything bagel had great flavor and I'm glad they toasted & scooped it out as I requested. The decor inside is also pretty cool but it's hard to enjoy it when there's a mob of people standing around either ordering or waiting for their orders. Decent spot and hope they figure out some logistics to make it a better experience.

Everything Bacon & Egg Combo, Cup a Tots, Cold Brew

Cold brew: amazing. Everything bacon egg and cheese: fantastic. Tator tots: superb. Vibes were immaculate. Staff was super friendly. A bit pricey, but the quality and taste of the food makes up for it.

Before i got a whole egg shell in a bite of the bagel i really enjoyed it! I will definitely try this place again but my first experience have crunching on an egg shell was not the best. please be more careful with the eggs next time

I actually really like the food here. The pork roll, egg and cheese on a bagel is fantastic. However, I have been here twice and each time they have allowed dogs in the restaurant. Mind you, I love dogs, just not while I'm eating. Also, the corgi was really shedding. Gross!

    Blueberry bagel with "churro" butter.

We discovered Cheech's bagels after our flight at JFK was canceled. We had to wait two more days to fly out, so we found a hotel in Jersey City and decided to try out the local food scene. Cheech's is an absolute gem!! Fabulous food-LOTS of lox was on my bagel AND my bagel was gluten free!! Ivan is a BOMB bagel assembler!! Superb and caring service. Stephanie was so polite and helpful. We spoke to her on the phone and also ordered with her from the counter. Austin saw us at the counter and after he was finished making a coffee drink, came over to our table to see what we needed! And he makes a fabulous chai latte! Ambiance was cozy and charming! Great seating and the feel was so positive. We ordered bagels to take back to Oregon with us. We also sampled the blueberry bagel with Ivan's special churro butter-amazing. I'm hoping they can ship to Oregon!

Delicious bagels, great ambience, and friendly service! I love the way they season and cook the eggs (so fluffy!) and how they offer different (free) sauce options for the bagel sandwiches!

This has somewhat been a routine of mine since moving here and I haven't really been disappointed anywhere I've gone. This was no different. Loved the picked onion addition too. Long story short I asked for refund but they said they have to ask their manager who's not coming back that day since it is holiday and I would need to wait until next day for refund so I end up getting a cheesecake instead. The cheesecake tasted little sour so initially I thought it went bad. Also it tasted like it's been sitting in the fridge for a long time. You know when you taste fridge smell from the food. We finally had the opportunity to do so on a quiet Easter Sunday. First, the interior looks pretty amazing. A lot of history behind all the architecture and they did a good job preserving it.
