Sausage and Egg Sandwich on a Bagel

Ordered breakfast for the dock and office staff. Arrived pretty fast. Food was good the bagel could have been a little softer. Everyone enjoyed and will most likely order again.

I asked for an everything bagel, toasted with butter. Pretty simple request gone so horribly wrong. After waiting 15 minutes for this I couldn't be more disgusted. So much butter that you'd think it was cream cheese. I asked for it toasted and when I noticed they hadn't toasted it they said "oh it's kinda warm it came out of the oven not too long ago". Again, not what I asked for not to mention it was ice cold due to the 10 lbs of butter. I've been to so many bagel places in New Jersey and this is hands down the worst experience I've had.

I never ever ever ever give one-star reviews. On the rare occasion that I do, a place must've REALLY gotten on my bad side. Here's the thing, my biggest pet peeve in the foodie world is a bad bagel. The bagels here are such an abomination that after I ordered and the guy handed it to me, I told him I didn't want it and walked out. First of all, the "bagels," or rather, whatever poor excuse they're selling and calling them bagels, are the equivalent in size to a mini bagel. Take a look in the back, they don't even look freshly made. I can go to the bakery section of Shop Rite and buy a fake bagel that's twice the size and likely tastes better. If you want a bagel in Hoboken, go to JP's. Don't waste your time at this imposter place.

    Everything Bagel w/ Chicken Salad

I'll preface this post with the fact that this was my first time ever having a New Jersey bagel. As an out of towner, I had a great experience in the shop. While it is small, it's nothing I wasn't used to while chasing flavors. The man behind graciously helped me out trying to figure out what sandwich combination would be the best. We settled on the Chicken Salad on an Everything Bagel (which I heard was top class in Hoboken). I'll say I had a great time indulging this sandwich. The dough was soft, and the bagel was jam packed with flavor. Hefty scoops of chicken salad pulled it all together in a salty/creamy experience. A friend recommended this place, and I endorse it as well.

    Green egg

Got a porkroll egg and cheese, the egg was legitimately green inside.. Would've believed it on st Patrick's day, but not in November. Foul

    Best bagels

Don't understand the negative reviews. This was the best bagel I had in Hoboken. So good I didn't get a photo until it was almost gone. My husband got the egg bagel and it was AHmazing!

Do yourself a favor and do NOT get any egg sandwiches from this shop. Unless you like microwave eggs and rubber like bacon

Hands down best bagels in Hoboken. And you'll be hard pressed to find a better scallion cream cheese anywhere else in town.

Their case was filled with so many delicious looking bites but I held some self restraint and just picked up a few pastel de natas and a guava and cheese danish. Delicious! Both were perfect and everything was under $10. They had so much there that I can't wait to stop back in for: Portuguese rolls, empanadas, drip coffee, etc. While Salem isn't right by me, when I am in the area, this will have to be my new go to bakery when I am in need of a box of pastries to bring along to a party (or just for myself).

Fresh bread, pastries, and baked goods that are incredibly affordable. I drive by all the time and there are always numerous cars double parked outside. Now I see what the commotion is about. The bread is great if you plan to eat it fresh or freeze for later. The Heroes and Portuguese Rolls are my favorites, and the prices are unbeatable. The Glazed Donut was a good try; it's more like a cake than a donut but would definitely pair well with a coffee. I saw the Empanadas on display and decided to try two. The Beef Empanada was pretty solid but the Chicken Empanada threw me off a bit with the carrots inside. With $10 in your pocket, you can walk out of here with so much! Highly recommend supporting this local business.

Not run by Sheraton -- and it shows. Stayed here for a week…read moreon business, and had breakfast at this restaurant most mornings. It's not horrible, but there are definitely some areas that need attention -- especially when it comes to hospitality and cleanliness. Staff is hit or miss. Some are friendly and helpful, others seem like they'd rather be anywhere else, especially during the morning shift. The "seat only complete parties" policy is strange -- particularly when the place is nearly empty. Not exactly the kind of flexibility you expect from a hotel restaurant. Food is fine, but overpriced (as expected in a hotel). Nothing to write home about. Definitely skip the pasta -- especially considering some of the best Italian food in the country is just across the river. My biggest issue was with cleanliness. The salt and pepper shakers on every table were grimy and gross -- the kind of thing you don't want to touch, let alone eat near. If you're going to use communal shakers, they need to be cleaned regularly. It's a basic thing, and it makes you wonder what else is being overlooked in the back of house. Bottom line: I wouldn't choose to come here unless I had to. If it weren't for the convenience during a work trip, this would've been a one-and-done visit.
