I wanted to see what the hype was all about. I went in the late afternoon on Sunday and waited in line for about 20 min, then another 5-10 min for the order. Apparently they make the bagels in house and the orange juice is freshly squeezed. This is more of a take out place because of lack of seating inside. The prices are low. The bagel itself is quite tough. Not sure if it's the dough or if it was overbaked. They give you alot of filling though. I will give them another try. Just happens in JC, there's a long line of wait in Sunday 8:00am. It must be something delicious. Wait for 30min in line and 15min to make. In my mind questioning whether it wasted my time. I saw the long line and had time to kill so I joined it! Wow, best Lox bagel I've ever had. I ordered it as-is on an everything bagel though I'd usually request no red onion and light cream cheese and capers, but this was perfect, there was enough balance that the raw onions weren't overpowering in the slightest. Being a Brooklyn/NY native, I'm pretty selective about my bagels -- and this spot comes pretty close to those NYC faves. I love that this bagel place is so clean and their staff knows how to keep the line moving - and they really care about whether you like their food or not, so they are friendly and make great suggestions for other sandwiches. I had an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese - the cream cheese was VERY fresh and creamy and filling. I'm a little critical of the bagels though - the texture is nice and doughy but they don't have the airiness and they amount of 'everything' seasoning isn't overloaded like a NYC bagel. It's also not as huge as an NYC bagel, but there's still a fluffiness about their dough that hits the spot. My suggestion is for them to literally have that everything bagel doused in seasonings and it will be even tastier!
