The place is pretty small and quaint and cozy on a cold day. The menu is simple and basically a good spot to go if you wabt to meet up with a small group of friends and none of you want to cook. They claim their pastries are made fresh in-house but that was a lie cause it comes straight from the box of croissants that you can buy at Costco; it just looks nice and fresh when they put it in a display case on a fancy plate but it really just comes from Costco so just a heads up there. The steak and eggs were pretty good as well as the eggs Benedict but nothing too fancy but the prices were pretty high knowing where it all comes from. When I had a friend visiting from out of town and she wanted to brunch on a early Monday morning, this was my instant pick! Since we came around 8am on Monday, it was relatively empty and we got seated immediately. Our server was kind and took the time to walk us through the menu. I started off with a matcha iced latte. The matcha itself was great quality but I wish they add some add in syrup or flavor options (aside from the date syrup). For my main dish, I got the Chilbir. This was delicious and incredibly fresh. The dish itself was a delight. However, the portion sizes were pretty small and left me begging for more. Dolma was right in front of the office, so I decided to have breakfast there while waiting for the office to open. It was very early in the morning...9 ish and there were 3 patrons. Was not busy at all and i was seated and ready to order. Yes it is on the pricey side...it is more of a restaurant than merely a coffee shop...but oh man, was it worth it. $20 well spent. The dishes are unique. It is a mix of Turkish flavors with your staple brunch items. Haven't had anything remotely similar ever, not even in NYC. I ordered the salmon egg Benedict with the mukveri. I couldn't get enough. I am not a salad person, but the salad that came with the plate had the mild sweetness of dill and the tartness of the sour cream and lemon. Turns out it is a house made dressing and a secret recipe at that. I did not leave one leaf behind. The potato fritter was amazing and the eggs were poached into perfect balls with gooey eggs goodness ready to burst out. Wanted to stop by this cute local establishment after hearing a friend going & enjoying it. And I could not be any happier! (Also, they have the cutest outdoor seating too!) The people in the front were so nice & welcoming (and patient because I literally took 10 minutes trying to pick something to order). I recently came for brunch and ordered the Cilbir (Turkish style poached eggs with labneh, dill, chili butter, green sauce, and pita). I wasn't really in the mood for poached eggs but this dish won me over! The spices were really good and the portions of each item on the plate were spot on! Hazelnut mini donuts were a nice add-on to our meal for a little something sweet. Finished of with the Dolma latte (date syrup, rose extract, cinnamon, cardamom) which was not sweet at all (thankfully) and something different. You can get a way better value and tastier breakfast at many other places in the neighborhood. We dined in at this place a few months ago and also had such a negative experience. They completed forgot about our order and we waited for an hour until we reminded them. They didn't even compensate us or gave us something complimentary. Just said sorry for the wait and that's it. I came here for breakfast and had a great experience! I was there on a Saturday around 10 am and there was no wait for outdoor seating. We were under a little covered area. I got an egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant with home fries, and a hot cocoa. The egg and cheese was amazing!! Love finding a great egg and cheese sandwich. The home fries were perfect also! I guess it's because they use yogurt instead of cream for the sauce. If you love eggplants this is not a dish to miss. Lamb meat mostly appear in the sauce and more play an ancillary role here. Avocado toast is... new! I think they have either pear or apple in it, and there's a refreshing taste when you take a bite. It feels a little far away from San Francisco avocado toast which is usually salty and spicy. This one actually gives you something like an invigorating feeling. Chocolate croissants are great, too. We chose 3 different dishes and they were all amazing. . I recommend the avocado toast. I ended up ordering the Poached Eggs with Kiymali, two mini doughnuts, and a Café au Lait. The food quality was great. The beef ragu in the poached eggs dish was very flavorful. It came with three eggs and four slices of flatbread for dipping. It was delicious and the portion was great! And the mini doughnuts were even better - fresh and soft, filled with Nutella or berry purée. They were probably the best doughnuts I've had in a while: soft, light, and not too sweet. Items I did not get to try but wanted to were the pizzas and avocado toast. I will definitely be back to try those, and next time, I'll be going for the full-sized doughnuts! read more
