The place is pretty small and quaint and cozy on a cold day. The menu is simple and basically a good spot to go if you wabt to meet up with a small group of friends and none of you want to cook. Service was attentive cause the place is so small so that was nice. The food itself was good but if you've been to Costco then you'll know that all their ingredients come from there. They claim their pastries are made fresh in-house but that was a lie cause it comes straight from the box of croissants that you can buy at Costco; it just looks nice and fresh when they put it in a display case on a fancy plate but it really just comes from Costco so just a heads up there. The steak and eggs were pretty good as well as the eggs Benedict but nothing too fancy but the prices were pretty high knowing where it all comes from. While it was a good brunch, the final bill at the end of the meal just reminded us all that it's cheaper to just cook at home with the same ingredients.
Highly recommend ordering in advance. Place is small and takes awhile for food to arrive. Was disappointed how long it took to get a chicken salad sandwich. Waited 35 minutes for the sandwich. It's likely due to the wait staff forgetting about me, as they seem shocked as I was still waiting but didn't apologize. Food however, was good. Would have been better with more chicken salad but for the most part, I was surprisingly impressed. I would go back again but would order in advance. Giving this a 3-star vs a 4 /5 due to the service.
Very good breakfast place. Went on a Sunday morning and there was no wait. Ordered the steak and eggs and huevos rancheros and they were both delicious! The inside is small but there are lots of outdoor seating. Would come back to try their French toast!
Please do yourself a favor and go to Cafe Dolma!! This is a hidden gem in Jersey City. Limited seating indoors, but they do have covered outdoor seating during the summer. The avocado toast is always a hit (get the za'tar potatoes on the side) along with their French toast. French toast is also a great item to share! They have a variety of hot sauces as well. Service is prompt, and the vibes are great. I've never been disappointed coming here!
This place is amazing. Super cute and great food! Coffee is great. Omelettes are great with homemade hot sauce and come with a side salad. Breakfast salad with egg is so yummy!!
Cafe Dolma is always so packed on the weekends that I've never gotten a chance to go. When I had a friend visiting from out of town and she wanted to brunch on a early Monday morning, this was my instant pick! Since we came around 8am on Monday, it was relatively empty and we got seated immediately. Our server was kind and took the time to walk us through the menu. I started off with a matcha iced latte. The matcha itself was great quality but I wish they add some add in syrup or flavor options (aside from the date syrup). For my main dish, I got the Chilbir. This was delicious and incredibly fresh. The dish itself was a delight. However, the portion sizes were pretty small and left me begging for more. Overall, I think this is a great, cute, casual brunch spot but a bit on the pricier side for what you get.
Came here for a brunch during lunch break from the office. Greeted by our hostess and was seated outside. Cute little Turkish place. Got the dolma latte and the poached eggs with kiymali plus added soujouk. The hostess recommended that it gets mixed in and honestly it was amazing. Food and the latte were great. It was filling had a great savory flavor. Wished got a few extra pieces of the pita bread but I'm sure they would have given more if asked. Our hostess was super sweet and was very helpful would def come back here to try other things given more team.

I really haven't seen many comparably aesthetic and delicious dishes this year (but maybe the outdoor lighting was just good). I do wish it was a little more filling for $20, but I split half with my boyfriend and was doing my own little food tour, so this was a great addition to the list!

My friend and I both ordered the cilbir (poached egg over labneh with sides of tomato oil, green sauce, and pita/bread), which looked small at first but was just the right amount for lunch. Each bite was full of flavor - I loved dipping the pita into the different sauces! The dishes were just a tad bit slow, but the server was incredibly friendly and came to check on us a couple times. Will have to try their other dishes and coffee next time!
Used to come here for coffee all the time.. but never had a meal there ... realized the entrees are all freshly prepared and so tasty - should have tried these sooner.. The owner is a very pleasant professional who explains the dish .. Limited menu but definitely worth a visit or more.. A small place but has a Very nice seating area outside too .. We had a Turkish omelette which was great Also the vegetarian omelette which was so fresh Tried the cilbir (pron. chulburr) which was amazing with fresh grape tomatoes and a special yogurt sauce on the pouches eggs

Small place, but great brunch. I should've opted for the Turkish specials, but couldn't resist the all day french toast. That was hard to say no to and I certainly didn't regret it. It was certainly a nice cheat meal. I savored that with a wonderful cold brew too. Delicious food and great start to my Sunday. read more
Located right off the main road in downtown Jersey City. My wife has been here several times for their amazing coffee. We finally came by for their brunch. Service was attentive and quick. Sitting at the patio was great with the weather. The smoked salmon and eggs were cooked well and the vegetarian option and sauces were scrumptious. Definitely swing by here for some delicious food. read more
Very good Turkish omelette and French toast. Soujouk is a Turkish beef sausage with certain spices. The space is small inside and the tables were full, so I sat outside. The heat lamp worked properly. It was a windy day in November which made 54 degrees feel a bit cooler. read more

Great coffees, well priced. One of the best Matcha, Turmeric and Cappuccino I have at late. All unsweetened, foamy, strong and robust. Just the way I like it. Great hidden jewel. read more
Nice outdoor seating with umbrellas to give some shade. Had the sautéed spinach with labneh and spicy Turkish sausage and it was great - full of garlic flavor, really well seasoned sausage and creamy labneh. The poached eggs with kiymali was also very flavorful. Pita were fresh. The hours are short only open for breakfast through 3:30 PM. Highly recommend. read more
Wanted to stop by this cute local establishment after hearing a friend going & enjoying it. And I could not be any happier! (Also, they have the cutest outdoor seating too!) The people in the front were so nice & welcoming (and patient because I literally took 10 minutes trying to pick something to order). Ended up getting an americano with almond milk and their Big Blue Sandwich. The coffee was REALLY good & the sandwich too! The bread was super crisp & the tuna was so so light which was a pleasant surprise. Such an amazing sandwich! Can't wait to come back and try more of their traditional Turkish dishes! read more

I love the inside of Cafe Dolma and now they have added a lot of shade and trees to the patio area as well! I recently came for brunch and ordered the Cilbir (Turkish style poached eggs with labneh, dill, chili butter, green sauce, and pita). I wasn't really in the mood for poached eggs but this dish won me over! The spices were really good and the portions of each item on the plate were spot on! Hazelnut mini donuts were a nice add-on to our meal for a little something sweet. Finished of with the Dolma latte (date syrup, rose extract, cinnamon, cardamom) which was not sweet at all (thankfully) and something different. Dolma is moving to the top of my list of brunch spots in DTJC. read more

What a rip off. We paid $18 and $18.50 for two brunch entrees and got the tiniest portions. The veggies were pretty soggy and not fresh. You can get a way better value and tastier breakfast at many other places in the neighborhood. We dined in at this place a few months ago and also had such a negative experience. They completed forgot about our order and we waited for an hour until we reminded them. They didn't even compensate us or gave us something complimentary. Just said sorry for the wait and that's it. We figured maybe we'll try it one more time and do take out but the quality have gone down even more. For the price you are paying it's absolutely not worth it. read more
I came here for breakfast and had a great experience! I was there on a Saturday around 10 am and there was no wait for outdoor seating. We were under a little covered area. I got an egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant with home fries, and a hot cocoa. The egg and cheese was amazing!! Love finding a great egg and cheese sandwich. The home fries were perfect also! It definitely got pretty filled up by the time we left, so I would recommend going on the earlier side on a weekend. read more

Love love love!!! This is my first post pandemic brunch! Foods are so delicious. The lamb eggplant dish looks a little heavy but it's actually much less creamy compared to other places. I guess it's because they use yogurt instead of cream for the sauce. If you love eggplants this is not a dish to miss. Lamb meat mostly appear in the sauce and more play an ancillary role here. Avocado toast is... new! I think they have either pear or apple in it, and there's a refreshing taste when you take a bite. It feels a little far away from San Francisco avocado toast which is usually salty and spicy. This one actually gives you something like an invigorating feeling. Chocolate croissants are great, too. Nothing surprising, but pretty good. read more

Small family-owned cafe with great brunch options! I've tried a few things from the cafe dolma specials, and they were all delicious. Portions were large, and pricing was fair. The inside has a few small tables but probably won't be able to accommodate huge groups. There is outdoor seating and a nice patio right off of grove st in the summer. read more

Cafe Dolma is such a hidden gem, I'm so glad I had lunch there and found a new favorite. The servers and owner were very friendly and kind and there is a cute outdoor patio area that is under a tent. The food was SO fresh and delicious. Simple Turkish/ Mediterranean dishes that are well executed and flavorful. Highly recommend! read more

Pretty laid back and casual place to have brunch or lunch at. The food was really good and healthy. The portions could go a bit bigger though. The only downside was the service, the waiters didn't pay attention to us at all, but the place is very casual so I wouldn't expect to get the best service either. Still 5 stars for the food. read more

This place has officially just become my favorite brunch spot in Jersey City! It truly has a winning combo: cute interior, delicious food, and reasonable prices. I've been meaning to come here for a while and wished I had come here sooner because there were so many items on the menu I wanted to try, but I couldn't get them all at once. I ended up ordering the Poached Eggs with Kiymali, two mini doughnuts, and a Café au Lait. The food quality was great. The beef ragu in the poached eggs dish was very flavorful. It came with three eggs and four slices of flatbread for dipping. It was delicious and the portion was great! And the mini doughnuts were even better - fresh and soft, filled with Nutella or berry purée. They were probably the best doughnuts I've had in a while: soft, light, and not too sweet. Items I did not get to try but wanted to were the pizzas and avocado toast. I will definitely be back to try those, and next time, I'll be going for the full-sized doughnuts! read more

Excellent place to go for breakfast on those mornings off. . Every ingredient they use feels like they are good quality, good flavor combinations. We chose 3 different dishes and they were all amazing. . I recommend the avocado toast. Regarding coffee, it could have been even better, with a healthier almond milk :) One of the stars that I take away is because "gratitude" is included in the bill and they also make you understand as if it were not there, (with percentages of tips at the end of the check), We were only 3 people, normally that is done when they are large tables. . We will be back anyway :) read more
