Lil dove cafe is a cute coffee shop, the staff is friendly. They were a tab bit busy with customers when I walked in but it was still a pretty quick experience. I stopped by to get a small iced coffee. The iced coffee was heavenly! I took it to-go. They have a table as you walk-in of greeting cards that are unique. I might come back in and pay more attention to their greeting cards. They do have indoor seating but the seats and space inside is limited. The Pain au chocolat was okay, it wasn't too fresh. I would still recommend coming here for their coffee and I would like to explore more of their food menu. 10/10 cafe recommendation read more

matcha was so disappointing unfortunately. it's truly such a cute cafe and i had much higher hopes for the matcha but it had no flavor, was super dull in color, and tasted chalky. I would've loved to see them use a higher quality ceremonial grade matcha at this price point that is stored and utilized correctly and I'm sure it would help this place flourish!! their homemade syrups are delicious which are much appreciated but probably better enjoyed in coffee here. read more

What a find. Thanks to my best friends GF, we stopped here to pick up food while traveling back home. Their online ordering is super convenient and breezy. Food was ready under 10 mins and was nicely packed. My mom loved her spinach and egg sandwich and she was surprised it was not cheesy unlike most other places. Although their bagel and lox became tad more salty, it was fresh and the bagel was a delight. I opted for the everything bagel and maybe that added. Next time I am getting it with the plain/regular bagel to reduce the saltiness. Lox: was soft and not fully dried which added a creamy texture. Although that meant not all salt came out but it balances the sweet flavor of the spread. Coming to the cafe, it has limited seating however it's a cute little place with curated stuff. It's colorful and is also dog friendly - not just outside but you can take your furry friend inside. A big plus for me. Lil Dove is definitely my favorite place to get a coffee in the heights. All of their specials and seasonal drinks are always made perfectly whether hot or iced. Today I got a sandwich which I don't always do but it was phenomenal. The turkey Swiss press had a fig jam and apple in it which really sets it over the top. The sourdough was toasted perfectly. Ample seating inside and out. We ordered two egg breakfast sandwiches, one classic and the other with caramelized onions, along with an americano and latte. The classic sandwich was perfect, the other one was a bit cold as they don't heat up the carmelized onions, it's just from the fridge. The latte was a good temperature but the americano was scalding. The food is good. Cannot complain about that. What I was disappointed in was the accuracy of our orders. The first time my husband got something, an egg sandwich with bacon and specifically no cheese, they added cheese. I can't eat cheese. The second time, I ordered an egg sandwich with bacon on multigrain bread. We opened the order and it was a brioche bun. What are the chances that both times we went the orders were inaccurate? This spot is so cute . We ate at their outdoor dining on a Friday afternoon and the food was yummy! It was sunny and not all seats are covered by the blazing light but we made due. There were two customers that picked up their orders while we were waiting. Their menu is contactless. So you open your camera on your phone, scan the QR code and tap the link for the menu. We ordered the lunch tuna sandwich and pesto egg sandwich. I believe you choose a bagel or bread for the tuna and I don't think we were given an option for that. They give a generous amount of tuna. I enjoyed both sandwiches albeit that the pesto was oily :/ but damn was it good! The iced latte was not good. We didn't even taste the Espresso so that was a waste. I really liked the dirty chai but we couldn't taste the Espresso in there either- it was so sweet which I didn't mind but still, where's the espresso lil' dove cafe? You are given an option of which milk you would like. We had a regular for the latte and oat for the dirty chai. Note, make sure you use the restroom before you arrive. It looked like restrooms were closed for customers as there is a table inside the cafe, across the entrance. Maybe you can use it if you ask? No clue. I do like that there was a trash bin outside of the cafe to dispose of waste instead of holding onto it until you see a city bin. Being from north jersey, it's tough to get a good Taylor ham, egg, and cheese sandwich in this area, and this is the best one in the area hands down. It's not the biggest, but it is made very well. A recent favorite of mine is the Blueberry Lavender Lemonade. Perfect for the Summer. My go to breakfast is the Upgrade sandwich. I absolutely love it! The owner and her daughter are so nice and welcoming. Recently they have also sold cute little plants as well as beautiful little flower arrangements. It really is the perfect neighborhood cafe. Right now due to Covid you can't dine inside of course but they do have a few tables outside for outdoor seating. It's so important especially right now to support our local businesses.
