Great spot to go. It's a def no brainer. There is always something good waiting here. Go and enjoy at a table or take it to go and eat in the nearby park on a great morning.
Ordered: 20oz Iced Honey Lavender Latte (~$7): 2oz espresso, house-made honey lavender, with oat milk (+50¢) Aya's take: Cute little cafe in Jersey City Heights! I decided to treat myself to a hump day latte, and this was just the drink I needed! It's creamy, the lavender was bold but not overpowering, the honey didn't make it overly sweet, and the espresso was strong. The workers were super nice and the cafe is very bright. Check them out!
Ample seating inside and out. We ordered two egg breakfast sandwiches, one classic and the other with caramelized onions, along with an americano and latte. The classic sandwich was perfect, the other one was a bit cold as they don't heat up the carmelized onions, it's just from the fridge. The latte was a good temperature but the americano was scalding. So a bit off on everything but still decent.
Lil Dove is definitely my favorite place to get a coffee in the heights. All of their specials and seasonal drinks are always made perfectly whether hot or iced. Today I got a sandwich which I don't always do but it was phenomenal. The turkey Swiss press had a fig jam and apple in it which really sets it over the top. The sourdough was toasted perfectly. I really can't say one bad thing about it. If you are in the area come check this place out
What a cute and cozy little gem in The Heights! I was born and raised in The Heights and wish I had a spot like this to go to in high school. My husband and I stumbled across this place in a rainy day, and the vibes were perfect. The coffee was amazing, there's a good amount of seating, and some cute trinkets and candles for purchase. I ordered the turkey and apple press for lunch and it was fantastic. Delicious and filling. The ladies working behind the counter were also very warm and were patient with me as I decided what to order from their delicious menu options.
This spot is so cute . We ate at their outdoor dining on a Friday afternoon and the food was yummy! It was sunny and not all seats are covered by the blazing light but we made due. There were two customers that picked up their orders while we were waiting. Their menu is contactless. So you open your camera on your phone, scan the QR code and tap the link for the menu. We ordered the lunch tuna sandwich and pesto egg sandwich. I believe you choose a bagel or bread for the tuna and I don't think we were given an option for that. They give a generous amount of tuna. I enjoyed both sandwiches albeit that the pesto was oily :/ but damn was it good! The iced latte was not good. We didn't even taste the Espresso so that was a waste. I really liked the dirty chai but we couldn't taste the Espresso in there either- it was so sweet which I didn't mind but still, where's the espresso lil' dove cafe? You are given an option of which milk you would like. We had a regular for the latte and oat for the dirty chai. Note, make sure you use the restroom before you arrive. It looked like restrooms were closed for customers as there is a table inside the cafe, across the entrance. Maybe you can use it if you ask? No clue. I do like that there was a trash bin outside of the cafe to dispose of waste instead of holding onto it until you see a city bin. Thanks lil' dove cafe and despite the lack of Espresso in your drinks, I would still come back and most likely order your sandwiches and still give your drinks a shot.
Lovely little cafe offering up delicious baked goodies and light lunch fare. I just stepped in for a quick coffee and couldn't resist the croissants. Can I just say - this was one of the best croissants I have had outside of Paris?? Friendly hostess and a couple of cozy seating areas added to the charm. I look forward to coming back and trying more things!
Ticked off another café from my bucket list. This place is actually small and one can easily miss it if not aware about the surroundings. The ambience is really cute and the staff was friendly. I had ordered a cappuccino and the coffee felt above average. Could have had a bit of bold taste since it was cappuccino but overall liked the vibe of the place. Looking to try out more menu items in the future!
Awesome little coffee shop that is dog friendly with all your coffee needs! They sell a bunch of items that can be great for birthday gifts. They also sell a bunch of cards! I love the decoration and there was no wait time when I arrived to get coffee. Great place to sit and hang out with friends or to get some reading time done.
Such a cute little cafe, and such friendly baristas! Everything was made to perfection , and their food and lattes were delicious! Few seats indoor and a few tables outdoors - will def be going back!
This place is cute AF! And their food and coffee is bomb. Just got brunch here for the first time and was not disappointed. I got the egg sandwich with turkey sausage and it was . Bf got the egg and pesto grilled cheese. That was even better than mine. The grilled cheese was a massive sandwich on super fresh bread. Sat in their parklet and prayed no cars would swerve and take us out and made it through to tell the tale. Can't wait for them to fully open up because the j side looks so cute and cozy. They also had super cute little plants for sale. Definitely do yourself a favor and check this place out!
Lil dove cafe is a cute coffee shop, the staff is friendly. They were a tab bit busy with customers when I walked in but it was still a pretty quick experience. I stopped by to get a small iced coffee. The iced coffee was heavenly! I took it to-go. They have a table as you walk-in of greeting cards that are unique. I might come back in and pay more attention to their greeting cards. They do have indoor seating but the seats and space inside is limited. The Pain au chocolat was okay, it wasn't too fresh. I would still recommend coming here for their coffee and I would like to explore more of their food menu. 10/10 cafe recommendation read more

matcha was so disappointing unfortunately. it's truly such a cute cafe and i had much higher hopes for the matcha but it had no flavor, was super dull in color, and tasted chalky. I would've loved to see them use a higher quality ceremonial grade matcha at this price point that is stored and utilized correctly and I'm sure it would help this place flourish!! their homemade syrups are delicious which are much appreciated but probably better enjoyed in coffee here. read more
I love this café! It has great breakfast foods and I love their Matcha latte either hot or iced. It has a good seating area too. The only issue is that people take up the seats very quickly so if you want to sit down, you have to get there early or wait I also think it's a little expensive but it's on par with everywhere else in Jersey City read more

I liked their atmosphere upon walking in. When I placed my order the barista was laughing at me, I don't know why, maybe because of my order? I didn't feel welcome. However, I was still kind enough to leave a tip. The coffee tastes okay but it was expensive (almost $8). read more

I loved this cafe! This was my second time coming for both a drink and food. I tried a hot golden milk latte with oat and it was delicious. I also got the egg sandwich on a brioche bun. I appreciate that they were accommodating in some modifications of the item. It was very quick service. Will definitely come back again with new folks to try them out! read more

Awesome little breakfast spot in jersey city heights. This place is around the corner from my house, and on the weekends I'm there every morning. The iced mocha latte may be the best coffee I've ever had. Being from north jersey, it's tough to get a good Taylor ham, egg, and cheese sandwich in this area, and this is the best one in the area hands down. It's not the biggest, but it is made very well. Overall, love this place. The outdoor seating is a massive plus. read more

Lil Dove is one of my favorite places. It's the cutest little cafe. The food is so good! Anything I have ever ordered from them has been wonderful. A recent favorite of mine is the Blueberry Lavender Lemonade. Perfect for the Summer. My go to breakfast is the Upgrade sandwich. I absolutely love it! The owner and her daughter are so nice and welcoming. Recently they have also sold cute little plants as well as beautiful little flower arrangements. It really is the perfect neighborhood cafe. Right now due to Covid you can't dine inside of course but they do have a few tables outside for outdoor seating. It's so important especially right now to support our local businesses. If I ever dreamed of owning a cafe this is exactly what I would want it to be. Friendly owners/staff, great food and neighborhood charm!! read more

Wow this place is beautiful inside and out. The staff is so nice and so helpful and so informative about the menu. I can't wait they add more items to the menu because I can see myself here daily. The drinks they carry are actually some of my favorite cold pressed juices. I got the veggie sandwich and it's to die for. I should have gotten two! The croissants are insanely good! I will definitely be back on the regular read more
