I got the original cinnamon roll and the April special, which was carrot cake. Also got a strawberry shortcake matcha. The rolls are big! Worth the price and wait in my opinion. I preferred the original over the carrot cake. The carrot cake roll had some big pieces of carrot lol a bit unexpected because I assumed the carrots would be a bit more finely grated. but not bad! the carrot taste is just a lot more prominent. strawberry shortcake matcha was good, but I think the cinnamon rolls are the real star here. There's a good amount of seating. Staff is very kind. Def want to come back to try the other special cinnamon roll flavors in the coming months!

I didn't feel like asking for it at the time but I will next time I come to try another iced latte with a different milk. Cookies and creme didn't really taste like it. I usually ask for less sweet and still taste the flavors elsewhere but here I didn't. I also don't love they still use almond breeze, barista blend almond milk tastes so much better--almond breeze milk just waters down coffee/lattes/etc doesn't really add to the beverage, kind of takes away from it. If you like to brew your own coffee and tea at home--this is your spot. They have a wide variety of coffee beans and tea offerings. Service was welcoming and quick. Prices are great for a large iced latte compared to the $8+ at surrounding coffee shops in Hoboken.

They have these as specials with cold brew but we decided to get it with espresso. Both drinks didn't quite hit the same this time. The lavender and blueberry flavors were both good, added some sweetness, and fruity/floral elements but for some reason, the latte didn't feel as cohesive. The staff were very friendly and offered to remake it if I didn't like it. I think the syrup wasn't strong enough or could've been better layered with the milk & espresso. Decent try!

We were greeted warmly by whom I assume is the owner. Since I love pistachio, it was a no brainer for me. As one of my companions is trying to decide, I mumbled under my breath..."the Rose latte is really beautiful." He sighs and says to the barista...okay, I'll have the Rose latte, I'll let her have her picture. I tell the barista that I want it in one of those pretty cup and saucers. I was giddy as a little girl when I got the lattes. Soooo eye-pleasingly beautiful. Most of the Rose latte pics on Yelp has the leaf in white, mine was PINK. I am not a fan of any drinks that taste like a rose. Curious I did take a sip and I was wowed. The rose flavor was very subtle in a wonderful way with the perfect balance of the coffee. I loved my pistachio but decided to switch the rose latte with my companion. It was the best rose lattes I have ever had. They also have homemade treats. Their pistachio baklava is PERFECTION, not too overly sweet. I could eat a dozen of these in one sitting. Limited indoor seating with only 2 tables outside.

After being away from Jersey for about seven years, I came back with high expectations and memories of pastries that once set the standard. The Kouign-Amann used to be the star--beautifully buttery, flaky, crunchy on the outside, and moist on the inside. Now it's dry and lacking the rich flavor it once had. The madeleine was another disappointment: dry and forgettable. To add to the frustration, their policy of not accepting $50 or $100 bills feels unnecessary and inconvenient. The one saving grace, and the reason I'm giving them three stars instead of less, is their financiers. They remain excellent--moist, nutty, and full of flavor, just as I remembered. I truly hope Choc·O·Pain can return to its glory days, because when they're at their best, few bakeries can compare.
