Jefferson's is super cool in terms of the space and its variety of coffee flavors and styles. Their variety of breads is the icing on the cake. Stopped in for the first time in a long time to one of my old fave cafes and it's just as cute and cozy as ever. I grabbed a table in the back (lots and lots of tables but also lots and lots of remote workers and Steven's students, so it fills up quick). The WiFi is strong as always but my latte was milky as heck. Going to need to remember that this spot might be better for my trusted London Fogs and cappuccinos and drip. Cute environment, snug & cozy when there's traffic and limited seating. Very much a pick up and go rather than a sit and stay a while place. I was impressed by the variety of baked goods. Clearly the loafs are popular (and I missed out). I'd go earlier next time and try the carrot cake. Service was okay, no wow moment, but I like that they hand write your name on the cup. A small local coffee place. The biggest challenge is the space there. There is limited space to seat and stay. Coffee is good. The cashier is not that friendly but it takes you only a minute to order coffee, so its fine.anything you ask them, they say "no". Desserts are good. On a quietside. Bit of a lackluster first visit here. They had a seasonal menu board outside and by the register. However, when I asked about ordering one of the seasonal lattes, the barista abruptly replied, "No," with no further elaboration or suggestion of a substitution latte I could order. Great coffee and excellent homemade syrups. I got the rose and the homemade Madagascar vanilla syrup in my iced latte. It was wonderful and had a bit of a bitter edge to the syrup that was lovely and not harsh. Coffee was very smooth. read more

Ehh, it can be good but it depends on how busy it is. Whenever it's packed the milk is scorched and the coffee tastes burnt. (Staff likely rushing) When its slower the coffee tastes better since staff isn't rushing am assuming. The price is its best quality considering other spots are charging 9 dollars for coffee alone (otherworldly that we pay that). However here a coffee and a pasty for $9 is a deal I'll take any day. I've had Jefferson's Coffee a few times since moving away from Hoboken, and my only regret is not going there more often when I lived nearby! Their large cold brew is my go-to--it's smooth, bold, and so good that I usually drink it black. The shop has a cozy vibe with some seating in the back, though it does fill up quickly. If you're lucky enough to grab a spot, it's a great place to relax and enjoy your coffee. Came here on a Sunday of Labor Day weekend. The ambiance of this place is phenomenal. Love that it had outdoors backyard seating, front seating, and indoor AC seating. Since moving to Hoboken from NYC, Jefferson's has to be my favorite coffee shop I've found in town. My number one reason... the outdoor space in the back! Half the reason I visit coffee shops is not only for coffee, but to find a cozy space to work in. So while the weather is nice, Jefferson's and their back outdoor space is always my go to. The coffee and lattes taste great, they have a nice assortment of cookies, pastries and donuts, super friendly service, and ample seating options. Jefferson's coffee is always reliable and delicious. They have creative lattes and such a wide & exciting variety of drinks. My problem with Jefferson's is how slow the service is. They are always swamped with often only 1, maybe 2, people working. This means it takes forever to make my drink and sometimes they forget, and I have to go up and ask (to which I am met with "oh"). They have a lot of seats and it's a great place to do work, but their wifi is very slow and does not work on their back patio. read more

walking through hoboken one rainy day and found this coffee shop to warm up. inside was cozy and there were more seating options at the very back. We got their coffee and hot chocolate and both were good. The latte was pretty solid and was made with latte art. we also tried one of their cookies which i actually thought was a crinkle at first. not bad. They have lots other pastries and baked good. Wonder if they were made in house. anyway, i had the mishap of knocking over my hot coco and was left with less than 1/4th of it. So embarrassing! I tried to quickly clean up after the mess but staff also helped out even without me asking which was very thoughtful. aside from that i was even given another hot coco which I was hesitant at first to take since it was my fault i lost most of my drink but staff was very kind. We wait all winter long to be able to sit outside and sadly this place completely ignores their outdoor seating area. Broken tables, weeds, and garbage litter the space but what makes it completely intolerable is they refuse to replace broken and missing umbrellas --if it wasn't for this city employee, it would literally be a garbage dump--and this is after finally managing to open the damn place on time at 7:00am instead of 8:30, 9:00, or whenever they care enough to get someone over here to open the place up--how do you totally ignore your business like this? What a great spot to come for coffee and pistachio chocolate cake. I mean.. WOW! We swung by before we had our dinner at Tacoria and this was the best decision ever made. We had 2 hot mochas, followed by a marble cake and a chocolate pistachio cake. Honestly, if it weren't for me having to go to the mall, I would've take some to go, but this is a perfect excuse to go back, I really want to try all their cakes. I was picking up boba from the Kung Fu Tea next door and decided to stop into Jefferson's to pick up a caffeine hit for myself. I was intrigued by the Rocket Fuel, so I asked the barista about it and he was very patient with explaining it to me. I can't really quite remember what it was anymore, but I want to say it had some kind of sweetened cream in it. It was great. It tasted kind of like a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, which I'm always a fan of. It wasn't too sweet, which, as my fellow Asians know, is the best compliment you can give any drink or dessert. Lovely Cappucino with distinct flavor. Flavor profile was Combo of citris and an an earthy flavor. I haven't tasted a coffee like that. I'm not a "bright" flavor gal but this was good. They had nonfat milk, also a delight for me. When I'm the area I'll be back. Quiet location without music playing, which is nice if you're WFH. Honestly WOW! One of my favorite coffee shops that I have been to. I'm visiting Hoboken from California and I am so glad that I dropped by! The coffee is wonderful and I have absolutely no complaints when it comes to flavor. Excellent coffee shop. 1) I came during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, since they are one of the few places open during Xmas day and Xmas Eve. 2) I got their hot chocolate and chai latte, both were excellent. 3) They have the seating in the back, it is very cozy. When I lived in Hoboken, I used to love stopping by here for a beverage. I recently moved to Jersey City and tried ordering from here on two different occasions through DoorDash. For both instances, I was left waiting for close to 2 hours which is insane for a coffee shop! I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time around even though 2 of the 3 things I ordered were replaced without being notified. But then it happened again and it ended up being cancelled after waiting the hour and 40 minutes! These could have been handled easily by just simply providing communication once the order is placed if the items ordered are unavailable (even though I literally ordered 2 drinks and a croissant) and then cancelled immediately for me to have my money refunded and time not wasted (almost two hours each time!!) read more

I ordered a French Press Coffee with skim milk for $4 and my boyfriend ordered an iced coffee for $3. Kudos to the gentleman who was taking orders and preparing drinks by himself. Large mocha latte skim milk. I don't usually order mochas but this drink didn't really taste like anything. The mocha flavor was super faint. The espresso flavor was faint and bitter. Pistachio cookie was really strong flavor. It was soft. But I wouldn't recommend it and I wouldn't reorder. Last time, I got a latte and I was unimpressed by the bitter taste. I also got a slice of almond pound cake and it was crumbly and hard and stale. The only good thing about this place rn is the indoor seating. The first rule is don't order any bakery items. Period. Jefferson's is great for coffee and their small pastries they serve. I've never had an issue with tasty coffee and always end up with the Nitro or Cold Brew. The small pound cakes and scones that they sell in their case are always fresh. There is ample seating inside and tables are spread out, but my girlfriend and I had an issue when a woman did not heed the six feet rule right. We were sitting in the back of the shop and all tables were taken. The long table behind me was being used by a man, but he was at the end of the table. A woman comes into the back, takes a chair that wasn't being used, and places it on the side of the long table and sits a almost on top of me. I thought we had to socially distant? My girlfriend and I felt uncomfortable and left. Wish this place would do a better job policing the customers. read more

I live for a good coffee shop. This one is small but I enjoy the decor. I like that they have a good $2 cup of coffee as well as pricier lattes giving the customer a range. The staff was friendly and the almond milk cappuccino was tasty! The coffee shop can get crowded since it's on Washington. My only gripe is where you order the coffee is a little disorganized. A super cute neighborhood coffee shop. There's another location near ShopRite but this location is just a stone's throw away from my apartment so I'm here pretty often when I need a slightly more productive ambiance than home. They have standard coffee drinks as well as some fun seasonal flavors. I've gotten their Salted Caramel Latte and Lavender White Mocha, both of which were very tasty and not overly sweet. I bring my own thermos or tumbler every time and they always fill it up, regardless of the price I pay! I also got their Almond Croissant once and it was just alright. Other pastries did not look that enticing. They have free WiFi, lots of seating in the front and back as well as plenty of outlets.
