What an awesome surprise! My SA at Hermes recommended this spot for coffee. I wish had known about them sooner. It's Puerto Rican coffee made fresh with only 190 calories per serving. They're most popular for their hot lattes. There are several locations spreaded out in New York, but it doesn't feel like a large chain like Starbucks. It feels welcoming and cozy. They even have their own merch! I give their coffee a 10/10. read more

787 Coffee in Manhattan was really nice. I stopped by while walking across Manhattan during an exploratory vacation. Out of all the options, I landed on the mint cold brew pouch, which was a little pricey but 1) it was huge and 2) it's New York City. The mint cold brew was super tasty! It had a deep uniform flavor with a clean mint finish. It was also convenient for carrying around the city. The cafe itself is small, but it's comfortable, cozy, and has a homey, welcoming vibe. SO glad to have stopped by this shop while in Chelsea on a frigid cold evening. The barista is so incredibly sweet and said the horchata latte is a best seller. I had my choice of bean for it to be brewed from, 3 choices, which fun and unexpected. She had just made big chocolate chip cookies that were packed with chocolate - drooooool! The latte was perfect - not too sweet, incredible flavor, and the espresso was smooth and rich in the BEST possible way. Plus it was served in the cutest cup! The stickers here are fun to look at, the vibe is funky cool, the seats are comfy, and the bags/shirts are awesome. Definitely check this place out when in the area! read more

Stopped in here for coffee with some friends. It is super small, but we managed to sit down on the swing and the bar stools. The staff here is super nice! I got the cold brew and it was smooth and delicious. Someone else in my party got the matcha latte, and even with the vanilla (which was an extra charge) it was a little bland. Overall, pretty good spot, but would stick to their coffee drinks! Would come again! read more

I originally came because I wanted to find a cute place to read + the coffee in a reusable bag concept intrigued me. The music and grinding machine was too loud to do work- I kept becoming distracted and ended up not reading as much as I wanted to. The seats aren't that comfy and the shop was small so you can hear the table next to you chattering. I wouldn't come here again. The iced coquito latte was good but not worth the price. The lady up-charged me after asking if I want special beans/rum particles? I'm not too sure but I didn't know it would be an additional charge- I wish she had specified that. She also came up to me as I was in the middle of reading and asked if I could write a Google Review. I said yes but she kept standing in front of me and making conversation until I told her I posted one. That made me really uncomfortable. read more

I really do like this place, especially their unique specialty drinks and yummy snacks and just the overall vibe. I've been to a few 787s before, but this was my first time at a location where there was a ton of seating and the interior was so spacious. There's an insane amount of room here considering it's a coffee shop, and I loved how they laid everything out. The person who took my order was super nice, answered all of my questions, and I walked away with my tres leches latte, which is one I've never had before. It's sweet, but the flavor is subtle. Cozy PRican coffee (all around NYC). Been seeing this since PR and wanted to try it in NYC. Drink was fresh and service was good. However, thought $7 was expensive since I'm use to ~$3-5 coffees in PR. But understood this is NYC pricing. Barista initially asked if I wanted to change my beans and it turned out to be $10. Great place to hang out or bring your laptop, but I'm not a big fan of their lattes. Drinks only come in one size, and the milk options are limited to oat or whole... neither of which are my preference. We came off the train at 14th street, it was hot and I needed refreshment badly! Right near the corner was the sounds of reggaeton music and the smells of good coffee. The establishment is smaller but it's cute with swings and seating inside and out. The gentleman at the register took our order and the coffees came quickly in these little pouches, perfect for Instagram photos. So they don't have a drip or pour over and everything is espresso based but I tried the rum infused coffee in the form of a cortado and I must say it was probably the best coffee I've ever had. It was $9 for a shot but what a treat. They sell the infused beans at $47 for a half pound so I decided to skip that purchase. Anyway, friendly people, cool space, and a great coffee will certainly make 787 a must stop when in the city. read more

There are 3 different coffee bean options but I didn't realize until paying that the cinnamon bean option I chose was an additional $3 charge so my coffee was $10 (not including tip). Wish they acknowledged that verbally but the iced mocha was really yummy! It's interesting for coffee to come in these to-go plastics baggies. read more

Unique drinks! The special beans cost $3 extra and the drink itself it already a bit expensive. It felt like the person taking my order was trying to have me add these things to my drink without us realizing it was extra. We had the coquito and the horchata iced lattes, without all the additions. Wow. I loved the coquito and I don't typically enjoy coconut flavors. It was so creamy and perfect amount of sweet and cinnamon flavor, but still coffee forward. It was something very different from a normal latte or coffee. It was fun to carry this around and I definitely got comments on it since it's a fun pouch. The portions were quite large and the coffeeshop itself was very cute. I would come again! read more

Dulce de leche RUMLAHE with a pick of Rum infused beans, yum! The coffee options make it challenging to just pick one. You'll find yourself looking at the menu going back and forth on what to get. 787 offers different bean infused flavors. Note, don't let the names hinder you from trying them. You aren't going a strong whisky or rum coffee. Get there early if you want a fresh warm pastry because some sell out quick. We got the cheese danish. It was tasty and paired well with the coffee. They sell swag like shirts and hats. There are cute chairs and tables to enjoy your coffee. There are plugs for someone that wants to work or study there for a moment. Walked in as a new customer first of all the place is beautiful loveddddd the decor.. Alexis recommended for me to try the Tres Leches iced latte and all I can say it's a 10/10 plus the banana bread. 787 Coffee in Chelsea had a homey cafe interior. My friend and I stopped by Saturday afternoon and both enjoyed an Americano (he got the Rum infused option and I went with the Whiskey infused option). Dang, I guess when you infuse anything with alcohol, the pricing increases by 2x. Our Americanos were 8.00 per cup. The coffee was alright -- I don't know if I am a huge fan of alcohol infused coffee. The flavor and after taste was definitely unique. They do have a lot of unique specialty latte flavors (Latin inspired) which seem like they'd be worth a try if I come back in the future. read more

Really enjoyed the iced tamarind tea and chill kind of funky atmosphere. The tea was just the right amount of sweet and the flavor was subtle and so easy to drink and hydrating, served in this plastic bag which was a little strange. Probably the best iced coffee I've ever had. I had the iced Coquito latte, which is definitely that Puerto Rican style experience! They serve it in like an IV bag, which is strange, but it keeps it nice and cold and it looks great when you're walking down the street. Definitely worth trying their coffee. Do you ever just get tired of the chain coffees? Well, that was definitely me. I was desperately craving coffee and hoping that I'd run into a nice cafe and that is exactly what happened. The shop is small, but super cute and the swing is a nice added touch. For my coffee, I ordered the dulce de leche latte and let me tell you...it was a 10/10. I honestly wished I had gotten a larger size because it was that good. I really wanted to try the chocolate chunk cookies but unfortunately they were all out. I love that they have plant-based coffee here! As someone with lactose intolerant, it such a hassle finding other options for my caffeine. I had the Dulce de leche latte and the tres leche latte with oat milk. The lattes contain 2 shot of espresso each. Dulce de leche was my favorite! Tastes like a sweet caramel. The tres leche was good too, but it was a bit too milky for my taste. I would ask for less oat milk next time. A little warning, it has a hint of cinnamon for my non-cinnamon drinkers. Each latte comes inside of a bag, instead of a cup. I find that it is easier to transport this way. I just wish they have their label on it, because I almost forgot the name of the place. I downed both latte before I even made it 2 blocks. The ambiance is super cute with swings and plants! Perfect place for a photo shoot with a delicious drink. Every 787 location I have been to has wonderful & delicious coffee! So far we have had: the Coquito latte, Tres Leche latte, Horchata latte, & the Spiced Vanilla latte! The owner/team at this particular location is so friendly though -- I cannot recommend it enough! They greeted us so kindly, and now offer a "to stay" option to enjoy your coffee which I had not seen at other locations This location in particular (15th street) has a really nice ambience, many people came in just for their morning coffee, but would stay to chat and hang with friends read more

I also got a delicious horchata latte and a pastry. The employee there was so friendly and wished me luck. And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
