You can see there is hardly any meat in there

I stopped by to pick up the breakfast burrito that everyone has been talking about so I could try it for myself. I ordered online and then when and picked it up, cute spot with friendly service. The burrito was $20! guacamole not included, you had to pay extra and I opted out of that luxury. I had read another post that said they had so much meat in theirs, guess today wasn't my day because I barley had any in mine and for $20 it was a damn shame. The crema sauce it came with was okay, nothing special with no strong flavor. The burrito was pretty bland in flavors as well, definitely needed a kick. Maybe a spicy sauce instead would have helped. Pretty disappointed especially at that price point. I ate the other half when I got home and topped it with some guacamole & salsa to help, and it was better.

Great first impression for this new cafe in Hoboken. The menu is very limited but still has lots of delicious options. I got the cin-caccia and breakfast burrito. I took my order to-go and it was ready relatively quickly. The interior is very cute and the team was efficient and kind.

Had a great breakfast at Mile Square Cafe. Love the atmosphere with the owners walking around talking with customers and good, quick service on a busy Sunday morning. We tried vanilla lattes and they tasted good with just the right amount of foam. We had MSC Breakfast with tasty ricotta scrambled eggs, sour dough focaccia and a tomato and cucumber salad and White Toast, with heaping egg white with ricotta and a little spice on sour dough toast. Both were so delicious! We also really enjoyed the avocado falafel with a tangy sauce --a nice combination with the falafel

Such a great neighborhood spot! there's seating inside and outside but i'd say it's most comfortable for 2-4 people in your group. They've only recently opened but are doing well and sell out of food during the weekend so try to get there before 1pm!! We ordered the pancakes and breakfast burrito - both were so so good! I'd want to go back and try more but also I'd be tempted just to reorder the same meal.

Ordered: Iced Latte w Lavender (~$7) Pancakes (~$15) with Blueberry Compote (+$2): with lemon, ricotta, and maple syrup Breakfast Burrito (~$18): Guajillo-Braised Beef, Scrambled Eggs, Oaxaca-Mozzarella Blend, Fries, Side of Cilantro-Lime Crema Aya's take: I've been meaning to try Mile Square Cafe since they first opened and particularly when I saw they had a breakfast burrito on the menu! a good one (without pork) is hard to come by in NY/NJ. Upon entering the cafe, you can tell it has a thoughtfully decorated interior and the menu is deliberately designed to highlight the owners, the culture, and some great dishes people would want. The girl who took our order was also super friendly & patient! I started with an Iced Latte w Lavender. By the color alone, I knew it was made well. First sip, confirmed. The espresso, milk, and lavender were deliciously mixed and paired so well together. The Pancakes with Blueberry Compote were golden brown and not thick, topped with luscious ricotta that I needed more of, tangy-sweet blueberry compote, and some maple syrup for that added sweetness. The amount of blueberry compote and ricotta was lacking compared to other photos I've seen but otherwise, they were well-made pancakes. The Breakfast Burrito was hearty and savory. The eggs & braised beef were well-seasoned and plentiful, the fries could have been crispier or replaced with tater tots (it would be so much better, imo!), and the crispy cheese exterior was ultimate big back behavior. The cilantro-lime crema is literally drinkable and I loved how it cut through the fat and denseness of the burrito. All in all, I'm confident MSC will do well in Hoboken and I would definitely go back.

Mile square exceeded our expectations (and this was after someone had told me they had the best breakfast burrito they've ever had). I would wait in any line for their food. To start, we got an almond milk latte. It was good but a little too much milk and not enough espresso for our liking. The breakfast burrito had the greatest crusty cheese layer on the outside to give it a little crisp, and fluffy scrambled eggs on the inside, along with some tasty potatoes. They don't go light on the goods either. There was so much delicious meat in the burrito and it was perfectly wrapped so you get a bit of everything in every bite. The fried chicken sandwich was my personal heaven. The chicken is so crispy but doesn't feel greasy or heavy. They have simply perfected the perfect crisp to juicy chicken ratio. The sauce had a spicy twang that paired nicely with the sweet slaw and soft brioche bun. The sandwich is simple yet bursting with flavor. We had all this incredible and fresh food while sitting by the window enjoying the beautiful Hoboken Sunday. 10/10!

From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding, attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The staff and management clearly take pride in creating a great atmosphere, and it shows. We ordered the burrito, avocado toast, and pancakes, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. The burrito was flavorful and hearty, the avocado toast was fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the pancakes were fluffy and just the right amount of sweet. Highly recommend this spot for anyone in Hoboken looking for amazing food and even better hospitality. We'll definitely be coming back!

I'm sorry Stephen but I would not come back here. The menu is very limited, anything with a semblance of protein is going to cost you $15+. I thought maybe there would be something easy to grab like a sandwich or panini with some deli meat or chicken salad? Nope! Not in this cafe! Instead, I figured I'd pickup a sweet treat and sit outside. I got this Cinnabon focaccia. It looked good. It was extremely hard to eat (tough on the outside, tough on the inside). It tasted stale. Wtf? At like $10 for one slice (literally $9.83) it should be the last delicious and chewy and sweet cinnamon pastry of my life. The verdict is Mile Square Cafe is overhyped on Instagram and overpriced for the taste & quality.

Cute cafe in Hoboken. The breakfast platter was delicious. The ingredients all tasted fresh. They lost a star because the cappuccino machine wasn't working. I couldn't see why if the shop is fairly new. The zeppoli's were a little too zesty for me.

Solid addition to the neighborhood! We came first thing on a Sunday morning with our daughter, sat inside (they have seating for about 26 at tables and another 4 at the bar by the window up front) since it was a bit hot. There are a few tables out front as well. You order at the front counter-you can take out or have them bring it to your table. Nice blend of fast casual. You can sit down and have breakfast without it being a production. We ordered the Cin-Caccia (their take on an Italian version of a cinnamon bun, and I gotta say-it's the best version of ANYTHING traditional or non traditional like it we've eaten in town yet, and a first for this spin on a classic). We ate it so fast while we were waiting I didn't get a pic! The pancakes we ordered without the compote-3 of them came plated with a generous dollop of ricotta (I could've done without it, but that's me). We also got the white toast, which was a light and filling toast a bit different than a few others we've had. Place filled up quickly (families with small children at opening) but it wasn't overwhelming. They had a steady flow of pick up/take out. The decor inside is simple, modern and welcoming. All in all-friendly staff, really good food, and we look forward to having another upscale casual spot uptown to grab breakfast!

I got the original cinnamon roll and the April special, which was carrot cake. Also got a strawberry shortcake matcha. The rolls are big! Worth the price and wait in my opinion. I preferred the original over the carrot cake. The carrot cake roll had some big pieces of carrot lol a bit unexpected because I assumed the carrots would be a bit more finely grated. but not bad! the carrot taste is just a lot more prominent. strawberry shortcake matcha was good, but I think the cinnamon rolls are the real star here. They were very good, do not get me wrong. And if I lived in the area, I probably would come here quite often. However, they don't hold up well as leftovers so I would only buy what you're able to eat that day as it loses a lot once it's no longer fresh. The coffee was honestly nothing to write home about which surprised me since it looked better, maybe I got a bad batch. The store itself was cute inside, liked the little play area for kids. Again if I lived in the area, this would probably be a good spot to get work done. Maybe it's for the best that I live far... as I'd probably be getting cinnamon rolls far more often than I should be.

As one of my companions is trying to decide, I mumbled under my breath..."the Rose latte is really beautiful." He sighs and says to the barista...okay, I'll have the Rose latte, I'll let her have her picture. I tell the barista that I want it in one of those pretty cup and saucers. I was giddy as a little girl when I got the lattes. Soooo eye-pleasingly beautiful. Most of the Rose latte pics on Yelp has the leaf in white, mine was PINK. I am not a fan of any drinks that taste like a rose. Curious I did take a sip and I was wowed. The rose flavor was very subtle in a wonderful way with the perfect balance of the coffee. I loved my pistachio but decided to switch the rose latte with my companion. It was the best rose lattes I have ever had. They also have homemade treats. Their pistachio baklava is PERFECTION, not too overly sweet. I could eat a dozen of these in one sitting. Limited indoor seating with only 2 tables outside.

After being away from Jersey for about seven years, I came back with high expectations and memories of pastries that once set the standard. The Kouign-Amann used to be the star--beautifully buttery, flaky, crunchy on the outside, and moist on the inside. Now it's dry and lacking the rich flavor it once had. The madeleine was another disappointment: dry and forgettable. To add to the frustration, their policy of not accepting $50 or $100 bills feels unnecessary and inconvenient. The one saving grace, and the reason I'm giving them three stars instead of less, is their financiers. They remain excellent--moist, nutty, and full of flavor, just as I remembered. I truly hope Choc·O·Pain can return to its glory days, because when they're at their best, few bakeries can compare.

We grabbed seats in their main dining area and managed to avoid being seduced by the crusty bread, buttery croissants, and other sweet desserts that lined the display cases next to us. Sticking to drinks only, I ordered a warm, almond milk cappuccino, which was rich, creamy, and well-balanced. There was apparently another floor of tables above us, which would make a great working space, though I did not see it myself. Overall, Choc O Pain is a lovely, charming French patisserie worth a visit.
