Just left this location and although I've eaten here multiple times and never really had an issue per day with service, our waitress was good, but very slow. I mean we had a big party and she was the only one waiting on us. That's not the reason I'm writing this review. I'm hoping that this gets the attention of management. This restaurant is absolutely filthy. It's disgusting and I don't think I'll ever go back. I mean from the bar, the restrooms, the floors, everything is so dirty. Makes you wonder how the food is handled in the back. I wonder if it would pass inspection. I couldn't eat my food at all. The carpet is so dirty. Please management clean this place up! read more

Food was mediocre and service left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, we stood at the front waiting for at least five minutes before we even saw someone. We were then taken to the table and someone came and brought croissants stating our waiter would come soon. After about 10 minutes, the waiter showed up and I gave him the entire order since I could see how service was going to be. Someone from the kitchen brought out appetizer - which is always delicious here (spinach dip). Finally, our salads arrived via another individual from the kitchen. I wasn't happy with the taste of the honey mustard but we could not see anyone who worked in the area for a good 10 minutes! Finally, we pressed "call waiter" on the tabletop device and set it at end of our table. He came and we requested another dressing which took about five minutes to arrive. Finally it was time to pay the check and the tabletop reader would not take our gift cards so again, we had to look around for someone AND press the "call waiter" button. Again, this process took about 10 minutes and to pay our check took another 10 minutes. Very disappointed in the service and will have to think long and hard if I will return again. We are regulars at this restaurant, at least we were until our experience today. Our server, Lindsey, with long black hair and glasses, was the worst server we've ever had. When ordering drinks, I asked for a milk for my 1 year old daughter and she told us they didn't have any..later to find out they did actually have milk. We asked for our complimentary croissants, twice, and never received them. She spilled my mother in laws margarita and didn't offer any napkins to clean it up. When our food came, we asked for condiments. Everyone asked for condiments and we also needed refills on our drinks at that time. In the middle of asking for my condiment, she threw her hands in the air, rolled her eyes and walked away. Another person at our table asked for Heinz 57. She brought a bottle with almost nothing in it and told us it was the last one in the restaurant...we later found out that was also a lie. At that point, we asked to speak to a manager. She recommended we get a new server and apologized for our troubles. Robert was our new server, but we were already completely finished and we didn't need anything from him at that point. When I was checking out, I started to slide the tip meter over from 22% and the manager said, "just so you know, the check is on Robert's name now." I've worked in the restaurant industry and realize that servers have to tip out a percentage of their sales. If that's the case, our meal should have been comped to avoid Robert having to pay out on his coworkers expense. The manager should have known that we were not going to leave a nice tip after the way we were treated. We aren't the type to complain just to get a free meal and we certainly aren't going to leave a 20% tip on a bill over $100 to someone who didn't help us with anything. I would knock them for cleanliness but the customers were GD animals! I had the Whitefish AKA catfish, nice, light, not too salty. Husband had ribs and chicken. Good sauce. Fries were a little to salted. Bathrooms need cleaning. Wait time to be seated was minimal, wait time for food was minimal. We had not been to a Cheddar's in years. Frankly, the food was underwhelming back then. Yet, today....they have earned my salute! We had a party of 24 and had to wait about 20 minutes for enough tables since they don't accept reservations on the weekends. No biggie! We ended up in their large party area with a flat screen on the wall and three waiters assigned to us. Complimentary hot croissants with melted butter and honey drizzling on top. I ordered the spinach dip with chips for an appetizer, but it never made it to my table. My grilled one piece of red fish w/creamy white sauce and shrimp w/ a side of broccoli and corn was delicious, but not filling. Two pieces of fish would have made my day. My sons enjoyed the half rack of ribs w/shrimp and the spasagna. My teenager stated the Monster Cookie with ice cream was appealing to the eyes and taste buds. This review is for the tender family dinner! It was so fresh and amazing! The broccoli rice and cheese was thick creamy and had the perfect balance of flavor and ingredients. The tenders were fresh, juicy, and large. The mashed potatoes and gravy was great. My family is picky about ranch but they loved it. The croissants were cooked perfectly. We ordered the exact same thing at the Sugar land location and it was not great. The tenders were either reheated or over cooked and they are so tiny. The broccoli rice and cheese was watery and did not have the same flavor. Some of the croissants were under cooked. The only thing that tasted the same was the ranch. If you want cheddars go to this location. I will try other locations and post additional reviews. This family bundle is a great price at $25.99 for all that is included but the Webster location is more value and taste for your money. read more

Cheddar's really didn't start out on the right foot with me... Did I miss the memo that instructs the hostesses at the front to not greet the customers or welcome them to the restaurant? It's happened at other restaurants and it happened the other night here. So that really didn't put me in a good mood in the beginning when I have two people just staring at me when I walk in like they have no clue why we are there or even why they are there. Next time I'm going to ask for a massage with a happy ending just to get some emotion out of them! Then, they sat us in the middle of the restaurant under the skylight, and it was warm and extremely bright. Of course after sitting there squinting and sweating for a few minutes, I saw why. Or, more accurately I heard why. On the other side of the restaurant they were having a party/get together/screamathon, so I guess going blind was the better alternative than going deaf. Luckily the food here is really good and makes up for the missteps of the customer service. We started off with the potato skins and they were deelish! Warm and cheesy and bacony. You can't go wrong with that combination! Hubby and I both got chicken fried steak and they were huge! I should have taken a picture but I wasn't sure if I had enough light in there...har har har. No, actually I just forgot, plus it looked so good I couldn't wait to dig in. I got mashed potatoes and corn and hubby got mashed potatoes and southern green beans (which have onions - ew). The only thing that was bad about it was the Texas toast was served under the steak and it got really soggy. But everything else was hot and tasted great! The steak was pretty tender and had plenty of breading. If you're not a huge fan of breading, this may not make you as happy as it made me. We were there early-ish on a Saturday (maybe around 4 pm or 4:30 pm) and they were busy but not extremely so. We got in with no wait, but I'm sure they get really busy later on. It's actually pretty nice inside too, I wouldn't feel terribly out of place in either flip flops or a little dressier outfit. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get...we will most definitely be back. The table next to us had hamburgers that looked pretty darn awesome. Cheddar's other locations are typically a great choice. A good value, fresh food, and good service. This location does not stay true to those standards. The food never fails, however the service at this location is horrendous. This is across the board, from the hosts, waiters, bussers, and the few managers I have come across in my years coming here. The margaritas are a great value at only $5, which is why I come back. I have had so many issues here that I cannot even recap them all. If you can look past hosts that can't even give a fake smile, an entire meal with only one drink because the servers do not come to check on you, meals that come out incorrect and/or incomplete, and dirty dirty restrooms and tables than this may be an okay choice for you. read more

Ordered the pasta Alfredo dish with a piece of garlic bread. The pasta dish of Penne noodles was so dry, I ordered an extra order of Alfredo. Poured it on and it was still way too dry. The Garlic bread "piece" most come with two, was dried out and stale with no flavor. My love for a dish like this is being able to move the Pasta aside and dip my Garlic bread in the sauce. Even after the extra small bowl of Alfredo brought to me the bowl was dry when I pushed the pasta aside. I had to peel the outer crust of the garlic bread off just so I could put up with the dryness and stale format just to eat. I couldn't even finish the bread! I took 3/4 of the Pasta dinner home and Doctored the sheet out of it just to make it tolerable! I wasn't going to let the exorbitant price of this meal go to waste! read more

Fantastic service from our waitress Chelsea! We'll come back just to see her! I ordered the sirloin steak and fried chicken combo with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes with white gravy. My wife ordered the fettuccini alfredo. My steak was excellently seasoned, cooked perfectly, and just the right size. The mac was excellent as well, and I'm picky about my mac and cheese. The mashed potatoes were not great, and I was disappointed that they didn't have brown gravy. But that mac and cheese, OMG! It made up for it! The shrimp could use a little salt, but other than that, they were excellent! Not too shrimp and not too greasy! Just right. The fettuccini alfredo wasn't great. Kinda dry and needed flavor. It was too bland. But the grilled chicken was seasoned heavily and tasted great, adding the missing touch to finish the dish. Overall, the food was enjoyable even though we had some critiques. In town on business my hotels associate sent me here as its in the parking lot behind the hotel. I wasn't expecting much for a chain type restaurant, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I went around 1:30 on a Wednesday so it wasn't busy at all so I was seated right away. My waiter, Kenny, was attentive and highly amusing. I ordered the loaded potato skins, the steak and tender combo, and a mini chocolate dessert. I am usually a big fan of Cheddar's, but this one not so much. I've been there twice, and ordered the same thing. Monte Cristo and an Ice Tea. The first time, about a month or so ago, I would have given it a 4... however, last week was a 2. With the closing of Bennigans, Cheddar's became the best Monte Cristo in the area. The sandwich is great... generally. Had everything been up to par, it would be a 4. But this last time the tea tasted sour and the sandwich was cold in the middle. I'll give them another try at some point so they can work to get the 4 back. I should note that both times I've been was off peek, once for a late lunch and once for an early dinner. The croissants here are super fresh, hot just out of the oven and covering in a butter honey glaze. Rich, decadent and oh so good. The croissants here alone are worth a visit. We eat here every couple of weeks. I can't remember getting anything I didn't like. Their chicken pot pie is a standout. (The pot pie is not the same at all Cheddar's. I talked some friends in Kingwood into going to the Cheddar's near them based on it.. It was a mistake.) The baby back ribs and burgers are good. The queso with ground beef is good. The onion rings are good. My wife likes the tilapia (I don't do fish). The chicken fried steak is good but the batter doesn't stick to the meat. It's like eating a steak in a batter housing. The martinis are cold and reasonably priced. Everything is reasonably priced. Their service is spotty. Cheddar's reminds me of a Friendly's, but Texan style. Meaning friendly service, fun ambiance, large portions, hearty food and delicious, delicious alcohol. I've had their salmon plate, which comes with two sides, and their grilled chicken honey pecan salad. The salmon was cooked just right, with the tender piece rested over a bed of buttered rice. The sides I got were their homemade slaw and red bean, both of which were pretty decent. The salad was also quite fresh, and they were able to substitute cheese with extra pecans on demand. Their service is fantastic in that you can basically get anything made anyway you like. While the food was pretty good, my favorite part of this place was definitely their cocktails. They have a large list of fun cocktails that not only tastes delicious, but also packs a punch (without you ever really tasting it). This could definitely be a great dinner spot if you're with a bunch of friends looking to let loose and have a good time. read more

Nice place ! This one had a nice fish tank walking in, it kinda reminded me of another place. But it was very nice, the pricing of the place wasn't to bad. The ambience was very relaxing and soothing. I had the ribs and fried shrimp, the ribs was good but kinda dry which I didn't really like considering I like ribs. It was the type of place you didn't have to dress to the T, but you could if you wanted to which made it really good. The decor of the place was really good they had this very cool fan and it was really cool. Our waiter was really nice, on top of his game the whole time and checked on us frequently when we needed. The food could've been better and juicer considering I had the ribs but all in all next time I visit I'll try something else and see how it goes. read more

So cheap and a guilty pleasure for sure. I always make time to stop by here when I'm back in town. The Santa Fe spinach dip appetizer is a MUST. It's the best cheesy spinach dip I've ever had and comes with yummy crispy chips and sour cream! The honey butter croissants are amazing and melt in your mouth. I've tried a bunch of the dishes and the chicken Caesar pasta salad, the cornmeal catfish, grilled salmon, and the vegetable platter are some of my favorites. The sides are great too, especially the Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Every time I leave Cheddars I'm feeling full and satisfied with the amount I paid. went here for lunch with my girlfriend just cause it close by. i haven't been to a cheddar's in years but as soon as i saw the weird fans in the middle of the restaurant, it immediately jogged my memory. we were seated quickly and was quickly greeted by our server but she was carrying a tray full of food and told us that she'll be back to take our drink orders. after about 5 minutes or so, someone else came by to take our drink order and brought out those addicting croissants. our server then came back and took the rest of our order. we got the spinach dip for the appetizer and i got the dijon chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli cheese casserole for my sides. i was kind of disappointed because we only dipped our chips twice and our entrees had already came out. we kind of rushed through the appetizer and by the time we finished, our entrees were cold cause it was FREEZING in the restaurant. we wanted to finish fast so we can defrost. the food was alright because i remember them using real mushrooms with the dijon chicken instead of the thinly sliced ones you'd get in the can but the spinach dip was sooooo good though. if you're thinking of a place to eat at and accidentally pass this place, don't sweat it. you won't be missing out on much. read more

Our lunch on a weekday was fairly average. It took a while before any server arrived to get our drink orders. The food prep was inattentive in that a sandwich with two items removed became a bare meat and bread. A country fried steak was mostly breading. The mashed potatoes and green beans were on the bottom of a small plate with the CFS piled on top, leaving no way to eat the steak or the vegetables without pulling the bowl of beans out from under the meat and gravy. Messy. My partner noted the chopped beef pieces making up the CFS appeared to have been mixed with the coating and pressed into a single appearing meat. Not really pleasant. read more

Well first off the food was ok the service was very slow, they didn't drink all the appetizers to the table. and you know i love a good snack before i start to eat my meal. Anyways I order three meals one for my self and one for my grandma and daughter. I ordered my self the monte cristo sandwich, it was ok but it didn't taste like bennigans it seemed like it had more breading then the meat and cheese. So my grandma and daughter order was to go, i got my grandma the chicken fried steak with green beans and coleslaw, well she didn't get the green beans and the gravy that goes on top of the steak.
