(A tad slow but, it was a big group) I had spinach dip...good, but I've had better. Painkiller for a cocktail (limit 2, but I had 3 and lived to tell the tale STILL standing!! LOL!) Had the chicken fried chicken with baked potato...good, but again, I've had better. Even though I say the food is good there was just something about the quality of it. Service here is hit or miss. The last time we came, it was 5 stars. Today, it definitely isn't. We had to ask 3 times for silverware so wouldn't say the visit was off to a good start. When we finally got our silverware, it wasn't even from our server. We asked the lady who brought the food out. Food is pretty consistent. We have had issues where the pot pie had no veggies except peas which is kind of weird... would be nice to mention that when we order as some people (including us) may not want the chicken pot pie if it only has peas and would order something else. After trying to decide where to eat an early dinner (around 4pm) on a Sunday, my friend and I opted for Cheddar's and I'm disappointed to say we should've just went to Chuy's instead. The food and wait staff were 5 star worthy, but the overall experience we had forced this to be a 3, almost 2 star review. When we arrived and were greeted and seated promptly in a booth on the bar side (didn't think kids or under 21 could be on this side? But that wasn't a big deal). Immediately after ordering, a toddler seated in another booth with three adults started screaming and clapping- I kid you not (no pun intended)- the entire 30 min we stayed. We tried to be understanding and hoped that one of the adults would calm them down soon. Well, they didn't and after about 15min of that, one of the women changed the child's diaper ON THE SEAT OF THE BOOTH. After seeing that I lost my appetite and my friend chugged the rest of her sangria, we quickly paid for our meal, and left. I'm not sure what the staff could've done besides politely ask them to take the child to the restroom, but it definitely made our dining experience here uncomfortable. Cheddars is that average type of place that can be hit or miss. I've always had terrible service here.. but I met the newest homie. Michael! Always has a warm welcome EVERY time. Anyways. My favorite dishes here are definitely the New Orleans pasta, blackened salmon w shrimp, blackened fish w crab sauce, and their chicken fried chicken. Don't forget the butter croissants. I've been to this location several times over the years. Every time my food is delicious! Our waitress was really good and patient! I ordered the honey dijon chicken with double the broccoli and cheese. Seriously, this is the ONLY place I order chicken. The chicken is always juicy and seasoned perfectly. The dijon is poured over the mushrooms and chicken sitting on top of a bed of rice. Me getting DOUBLE the broccoli and cheese should speak for itself - it's tasty!! The croissant rolls were tasty. *The fried chicken wrap was good, but I wasn't impressed. **I've also tried the cookie and it's baked to order, big, soft, warm and very good (I didn't order this time) My Texas tea was weak, but what more did I expect for $6? When Floyd's decided to clean out of their restaurant one night, my parents and I were out of luck in locating a restaurant to dine in at. We drove on the feeder road heading back to Houston while deciding where we should go: to the House of Pies or Pappas BBQ? I wasn't too fond on both decisions until we noticed that Cheddar's was popping! So, we drove to Cheddar's instead. Now, I haven't eaten at Cheddar's in years and the last Cheddars I ate at was when I lived in Mississippi which was 7 years ago. We arrived at 9 pm and were friendly greeted by a group of their waitstaff, showed to our table and even got a good new waiter. He was well groomed, friendly, and didn't even show that he was new. Upon opening the menus, I was feeling a little scared that the prices would be pricey like Floyd's, but thank the goodness, that they were affordable. I ordered the grilled tilapia with mango salsa, steamed broccoli, and carrots, my mum ordered the fish tacos with chicken tortilla soup, and my dad got the catfish over rice and broccoli and cheese casserole. Our drink order of a water with three lemons, iced tea, and whatever my dad got - came out in a timely manner. Then the food arrived, everyone food had the best presentation - neat and organized. Now the taste was surprisingly delicious, everyone loved their meals. My mum mentioned she liked how they cut the fish to fit into the tortilla and said that it was well seasoned. My dad enjoyed his meal as well. He wasn't a fan of that casserole. My meal was the bomb.com, it was so good! The soft tilapia was light and full of flavor, the mango salsa paired very well with it. The steamed carrots tasted just like how my mum cooks hers - not overly sweet, but with the perfect amount of sweetness. The steamed broccoli was crisp and lightly seasoned with salt and pepper. I actually hate that I waited 7 years to eat Cheddar's again - I've been missing out on these home cooked meals. We weren't rushed, everyone was so nice! read more

We had a 5 minute wait with a packed house. A reservation of 25. We used 3 booths and a 8 top table. The service was exceptional. Dalton was Attentive and on the go. Drinks refilled timely, orders taken and delivered without delay. As we sang Happy Birthday, the other patrons joined in and the house was filled with merriment. Usually one of my favorite places to go to take my teen daughter, but today I was disappointed in the cleanliness. I saw waiters and waitresses just running around like they were confused. I had to flag down different waiters to assist us. The salt was clogged up so I opened it and the inside was really wet and rusted. The salt was brown and clumped up. So I requested another salt shaker and same thing. It wasn't coming out bc it was wet. Maybe they wipe the tops down with a wet rag? Idk but it was so gross. Our table had every plate and empty glass on it. No one was clearing dishes during our meal. The machine on the table that accepts payment died out. My waiter was MIA. I had to flag someone else down to get a new battery so we could leave. Everything just seemed a mess and out of control. I've never seen it so dirty at this location. Was in town visiting family, Had dinner here one evening and had a good time. I'm not big on chain restaurants. They are no different then a fast food chain, except you dine in and pay more. Lunch @ Cheddar's in Webster, Texas, on 3/2/2023, ck #2210 , key west chicken and shrimp. Water & House Salad. My only meal on 3/2 for the day. Bye midnight, awaken with terrible kidney pane on left side of my back. Lite grade fever, vomiting & few hours later diarrhea by 6am 3-2-2023. THE SHRIMP WERE TAINTED WITH A FISHY SMELL , only 4 total and cut in half b4 consuming. Finished 3 small shrimp plus half of chicken piece. The shrimp need to be better kept and not served if fishy smell. Fault was of kitchen manger and not the resturant. I killed the taste with tabasco sauce. Tainted shrimp have been known to cause death in a few situations. Most excruciating pain of my life time from this incident. At time of this writing, I am about 50% recovered. This Cheddar's has become a go to for us. Ordered the rack of ribs for us. And a veggie plate and there was more than enough for 4 dinners for two. The ribs were delicious! I don't feel very well these days struggling to eat and cook is so hard. So it's super great to be able to call in an order and pick up without a problem. The staff is always so great in bringing it out to the car. Thank you Cheddars for making life a bit easier for us. read more

It's your average Cheddar's, super busy all the time but the food is pretty good. My kids enjoy the huge fish tank as well as the waiting area outside with the rock and water. There is 9 times of out 10 going to be a wait to get a table. Luckily it's never really that long of a wait. My go-to dishes are the sirloin and the ribeye. For the price, it's actually a pretty good steak. The cooks always cook it to the temperature I ask for as well. The steaks come with two side. Broccoli is a must but the second one I always get something different. Sometimes even double broccoli. I tried the southern green beans the last time and I guess southern means sweet? It's like they were dessert green beans, probably won't be getting them again. I also really enjoy the Cesar salad, they shave cheese over it and it's all coated evenly with the dressing. It comes with a croissant which are amazing if you get a fresh warm one. Another great thing is the sante fe spinach dip. It comes with salsa on the side too. They're both really good! I like putting the dip on the steak too. I think if you're kind on the fence about spinach dip, this is a good one to try. read more

I had previously been to one other Cheddar's location and it was a great experience, this one, was just ok. The service was great and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food however, wasn't great. I got the chicken fried chicken with corn and Mac and cheese. The bowl that the m&c was in was hot, but the actual food was cold. My server quickly replaced it when I pointed it out to him. Everything tasted a bit bland. Totally willing to give them another try, I think the kitchen must have had an off day. read more

I recently hosted a dinner here for my sister's 25th birthday. She's known for being finicky, but the family can always find something everyone enjoys here. Not to mention the awesome adult beverages that stay at a better than Happy Hour price at normal cost! Oh how I love the margarita with a sangria swirl! Okay, focus... So when I called to make a reservation for the dinner, I was informed that they have a no reservation policy. This was shocking! However, the manager was happy to come to the phone and explain to me that they now staff to have the back area I was originally requesting open at all times allowing for large parties to be served. Therefore, I figured we'd try our luck since we were coming on a Wednesday. Upon arrival, we had to wait until most of the party arrived before we could be seated. We originally were expecting about 30 people, but decided to shoot for 20 so we could be seated sooner. There was another group present that were trying to celebrate a birthday so I felt as if we were racing to get guests to stove to be seated. Talk about an adrenaline rush! Fortunately we had our minimal 15 arrive soon and were able to grab our table in the back. They only shit a maximum of 10 to reach table to keep service manageable for servers so we had to split between two tables. No biggie... They were right next to each other. Finally, we were safe! I just want to say how impressed I was with or server Brandi! She rocked our party! The manager came and explained she would be the only server unless more showed or things got bogged down, where he would come assist... Well, we had about 8 more show up and Brandi never missed a beat! Drinks were delivered on time, she took all orders with precision and a smile, and despite the large number, we didn't wait long for much of anything! I was beyond impressed! Im not sure if I'd attempt another dinner at this scale here with the current policy because the uncertainty was definitely nerve racking. We always go to another location but since we were in the area we stopped here and worst mistake ever. Adria was the waitress which first of all took about 10-15 minutes just to get our drinks ORDER.... We waited 30 more minutes until finally she comes back with the actual drinks. Once the food was ready, Adria sloppy self dropped one of the plates all over my friend's clothes and the cocktail sauce for the shrimp spilled on my friend's jeans. My friend had to go and change and she stunk like the sauce. Adria did not apologize instead asked if we wanted more cocktail sauce??? She did not offer us a discount either. Food was mediocre and service left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, we stood at the front waiting for at least five minutes before we even saw someone. We were then taken to the table and someone came and brought croissants stating our waiter would come soon. After about 10 minutes, the waiter showed up and I gave him the entire order since I could see how service was going to be. Someone from the kitchen brought out appetizer - which is always delicious here (spinach dip). Finally, our salads arrived via another individual from the kitchen. I wasn't happy with the taste of the honey mustard but we could not see anyone who worked in the area for a good 10 minutes! Finally, we pressed "call waiter" on the tabletop device and set it at end of our table. He came and we requested another dressing which took about five minutes to arrive. Finally it was time to pay the check and the tabletop reader would not take our gift cards so again, we had to look around for someone AND press the "call waiter" button. Again, this process took about 10 minutes and to pay our check took another 10 minutes. Very disappointed in the service and will have to think long and hard if I will return again. The pecan glazed chicken salad was not a disappointment. Maybe ordering to go would be better since service was terrible! read more
