I was invited here to meet with a friend. Arriving early gave me an opportunity to review the menu and generally check the place out. The hostess was nice greeting everyone with a sincere smile and greeting. She asked them if they had a preference regarding seating. Great to see customer service. I k, the alcohol situation, there isn't any. So forget the mimosa and Bloody Mary and sprinters. My friend and I both had the biscuits with sausage gravy. Unfortunately, the biscuit was very hard and the sausage, gravy lad flavor. The presentation was excellent, and the service was outstanding. I have much higher expectations and was greatly disappointed. Not sure this restaurant is worth the $, even though the staff are nice. GN3

Everything here was sooooo GOOD!!! No wonder they had a line. Service was good the place has a cool breakfast vibe. The tables are a little too close together b/ the food made up for it! The food is absolutely delicious!!! Will be back for sure!

Food, faith, friends... what more can you ask for!! Beautiful meal and wonderful service on Saturday with Red Oak Cafe in League City. The secret is out on this place for sure but I can understand why!! Yea it's busy and you may have a wait but it's so worth it! Service was great and the food hit every craving! The pancake with pecans was the standout for me... the amazing creamy butter and the addition of pecans complimented this perfectly made pancake! Price point was amazing too! This whole table of food was shared family style and we we ate a good portion with only 3 people for under $60 , for brunch, I'll take it ! Great neighborhood, faithful cafe!

Food is always so delicious! The wait is so worth it. We loved our server Alondra. She was very attentive and very sweet. Definitely coming back!

Great spot for breakfast food. The only downside is they don't know how to make an iced coffee, the ratio was completely off - majority of drink was milk and sugar - too sweet and no coffee flavor. Didn't get a picture but definitely don't recommend ask for black coffee instead.

Eggs sausage and bacon. Blueberry pancake!

Is kitchen quesadilla vegetarian and if not can you guys make it vegetarian?

Are Reservations needed so we don't have to wait in line?

We don’t take reservations, but you can join the Waitlist on the Yelp app and it tells you a time to arrive at the restaurant to minimize your wait. There may still be a wait past that time but it puts you in line! 😊

Are there any low sodium options, or can things be prepared without added salt?

Depending on the item, we can normally accommodate this request.

What is the jalapeño gravy made of? I've never heard of it. Is it vegetarian friendly?

Hi Megan! There is no sausage or meat in the jalapeño gravy -- it is vegetarian friendly but it's definitely got a kick to it! Our other vegetarian options include the Veggie Panini and PB and Banana Panini, the Huevos Rancheros (side of meat comes… Read more

I've been wanting to try Main St. Bistro, so when my sister suggested it for Easter, I was down. We had a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). We got there around 1:00 on Easter Sunday & didn't have to wait long even though it was busy. A man took our drink order. My brother-in-law asked to go ahead & order two appetizers. Our waitress, Natalie, came shortly after, introduced herself & confirmed the appetizers. We were brought 4 small cubes of banana bread, which felt weird since there were 7 of us. My toddler & my niece both had a whole one. The other two were split between 4 adults. My brother-in-law didn't have any. The appetizers came out fairly quickly & were gone just as fast. We finally ordered right at 2:00 after a little wait & indecisiveness. Then my son was done sitting in a highchair. My husband and brother-in-law took the kids outside. They played for a bit & walked two laps around the whole strip center. They came back, still no food. My son had a complete meltdown since he was both hungry & now tired, my brother-in-law asked if there was any way they could just rush my son's food. They did and he started eating, everyone was so hungry that they had some bites of his food as well. My mom went to ask the manager if our food was close to being ready. The answer was no, there was a whole list of orders ahead of ours. The manager was kind enough to bring us some spinach dip & apologized for the wait, explaining she was dreading today because the kitchen wasn't equipped for the Easter crowd. She assured us that they were working as fast as possible & we appreciated her honesty & effort. My mom went to her car & asked us to let her know when her food came. Our food finally started arriving at 3:17, and not all at once. My sister's meal came last. By this time my son was done & was getting restless while we had JUST started eating. The food itself was disappointing. My sister and I both ordered Benedicts. Mine (Boudin Benny) wasn't hot and was mushy instead of seared. Both of our poached eggs were undercooked. My sister's also had a large amount of cream cheese that wasn't listed and didn't taste good. Other issues: my mom's fries were cold, my brother-in-law said his chicken fried steak was no good. He ate it because he was hungry, and while my husband liked his sandwich & was happy with it, his fries were cold. My niece enjoyed her burger. My son's shrimp, fries, & macaroni were all hot and good... likely because they were rushed for him. It was 3:45 by the time we left. They close at 3. We received a 40% discount, but there was also a 20% automatic gratuity added, which some in our party didn't expect. Here's where they earn stars back... Natalie was great! She took great care of us & kept apologizing for the delay. We could tell that she felt bad, but it was not her fault. The manager also came by checking on us multiple times & got us settled as best she could. She brought us spinach dip while we waited & she made sure that my toddler got food very quickly after being asked about it. She did thank us multiple times for our kindness & patience. As did Natalie. I too, was appreciative of the kindness they showed us. Most of us have all worked in food service before & we understand that the wait staff can only do so much. We also understand being slammed in the kitchen & how fast paced they have to work in order to handle rushes. I appreciate the 40% discount... 20% after the tip. This review was based on one trip & I will update my review if/when I return. But this visit was definitely not a great experience & if it weren't for the kindness, I'd be leaving one star.

During our extended patronage, we have watched as the management team has performed well, and some teams haven't. But tonight I watched a young manager (Ridge Mercer...not sure of last name spelling), treat the place like he owned it. He was constantly on the move, and interacting with customers. I employ several hundred young men I another industry, but I've always had eye for talent. And Ridge is a keeper. Destiny our waitress was also very good. It appears the overall local management has had an upgrade.

I ordered my eggs over easy. They were extremely undercooked and still translucent, but I chose not to complain since that can happen with over-easy eggs. After roughly 45 minutes, my sausage and ham finally arrived. The moment I took a bite of the ham, I immediately noticed the unmistakable smell of rotten meat and stopped eating it. My father confirmed the smell himself. This ham was spoiled before it was cooked and was still served to customers. When we informed the general manager, Jim, he came to our table and stated, "That is the way the ham is supposed to smell." There was no apology, no concern for customer safety, and no attempt to remove the item from service. Instead, he chose to defend it and continue serving it to other guests. This is not a matter of opinion--it is negligence. Serving spoiled meat poses a serious health risk and can cause severe illness or worse, particularly for elderly or vulnerable individuals who may not immediately recognize the smell. Out of genuine concern for public safety, my father warned nearby diners who had ham on their plates. Customers should never be placed in a position where they feel obligated to protect others from unsafe food. At checkout, I again raised the issue with management. Rather than addressing the health concern, the manager defended the GM while employees behind the counter loudly whispered that I was "just looking for free food." That accusation is false and inappropriate. We spent nearly $200 on food and retail items. I only refused to pay for the $6 ham that was clearly rotten. My goal was not a refund--it was acknowledgment of a dangerous issue and an immediate stop to serving unsafe food. Management made a conscious decision to prioritize being "right" and protecting profit over basic human safety. That is deeply disturbing. I have owned and operated restaurants, and this behavior violates fundamental food-safety standards. I have filed a report with the health department and will be following up. This situation could have been resolved immediately with accountability and removal of the product from service. Instead, management chose denial and continued risk to customers. That is not just poor service--it is dangerous.

Next up will be the Fire Roasted Veggies, who stand firm and flavored coming straight from the grill to you plate and then your table, only to be found by your fork to be appreciated by you. However I cannot leave out the chili sauce they are layered in with a hint of spice. I need this recipe. OMG! Last up will be My Specialty, a small amount of the soup accompanied with the veggies will encourage your taste buds to sing for more. Amazing location and service. The prices are bad either. Unless the menu changes at least one of these will be in my order, if not both. Bye ~ Bye !

I am writing to share feedback regarding our recent Valentine's Day dinner at this Whiskey Cake. We…read morehave always enjoyed dining here until this dinner date we experienced. Although we understood it was a busy holiday evening, the overall service felt extremely unorganized. It was very apparent that employees were rushing, and the atmosphere felt chaotic rather than coordinated. My drink was made incorrectly twice. We ordered the same dishes we typically enjoy, but this time the plate presentation was noticeably different and appeared rushed, as if the food had simply been placed on the plate without care. Additionally, we chose to take a slice of cake to go instead of dining in for dessert, yet we waited over 25 minutes just to receive it. And while I waited that long no one checked in with me they just stared at me. Unfortunately, what we hoped would be a special Valentine's dinner date turned into a very disappointing experience. We have always held this restaurant to a high standard, which is why this visit was so surprising to us
