Cheddars quality is still awesome..and the prices are even better. Ethan was our waiter and he provided excellent service. Our food was cooked to our liking and came out fast. The butter croissants are still a staple to this restaurant. The ambiance is quiet and a perfect spot for a family meal!

Another delicious place in Texas to go eat! The waiter was so attentive With the service being 5 star for sure! They start you of by bringing Honey Buttered croissant to the table! These croissants are amazing...they are so soft and fluffy they practically melt in your mouth! The portions they serve are definitely enough to have left overs and take home for next day or your next meal! Definitely a restaurant worth visiting! And the prices are not bad! I especially like the big fish tank in the front of the tables, gave it a nice ambiance.

The service was okay but the food was really good the wait wasn't long it was pretty fast I absolutely love the starters the mozzarella bites are so good but the monte cristo is so good I enjoyed the sauce that came with it overall a good experience every time I come

This review is solely for the five service I receive from April. She works the bar & to-go orders. She has been working here for many years and provides nothing less than five star service. She is good at her job & customers love her. Honestly my orders get messed up when she is not working, but she always double checks to make sure her customers are well taken care of.

Cheddars there are a lot of options you can choose from. We were seated fairly quickly. For appetizers, we tried the trio sampler which was pretty solid, and the honey butter croissants which were flaky and crispy. For my entree, I got the country-fried steak with broccoli cheese casserole and mashed potatoes. Portion sizes were huge, especially for the price. I got the same thing a second time around to go and then it seemed the quality went down a little bit the food was more on the saltier side and the crisp from the batter of the fried steak wasn't there, so a little bit inconsistent. In addition, I tried their smokehouse burger and that was quite good as well. Nontheless, good solid option for a bang for your buck.

Atmosphere was nice, the ceiling fans were a neat touch. Place is very cold so if you easily get cold, bring a sweater. First off, your server orders your drinks and brings out a crescent drizzled in condensed milk? Whatever it was, it was light and flakey and delicious! They will tell you first one is free, any thereafter are a dollar and some change (didn't hear the exact amount). My niece and I ordered the chicken tenders to share, what a great portion for sharing. We ate every last bite and we're both full. The chicken tenders are very crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The mashed potato with cream gravy and broccoli cheese casserole were perfect accompaniments. My bf had the chicken fried steak with green beans and I didn't hear a word out of his mouth because he was enjoying his food too much! Great service, clean place. Plenty of parking out front. They have a little tablet like device on the table for kids to play video games or watch videos. That same device shows you what they have on their dessert menu as well. I haven't been here in awhile but would definitely return!

Honey honey chicken was tender, crunchy, & seasoned to perfection. Salmon was tender, flaky, and flavorful. Coleslaw was sweet & delicious. Honey butter croissants were a warm welcome. Whitefish could have cooked a little more and brócoli was tasteless. Overall great experience. Thank you Cheddars! Service was excellent. Lisa was awesome!

A large, soft, salty pretzel and creamy, decadent dip made this app a 10/10. Then we tried a couple of cups of gumbo which had the best roux I have ever tasted... Another 10!!! I could just order a pretzel and a bowl of gumbo and be completely satisfied with my meal here. For our mains we got the sticky chicken and fried catfish. Sticky chicken was a little sweet for my taste 7/10 and the catfish was perfect, another 10/10. The sides were good but the jalapeno blueberry coleslaw stole the show. If you're ever in the area this restaurant is a must try! They'll be moving to a new location soon and I hope it has the same cozy feel as this original location.

A small one crawling on the wall near our table and someone from my party saw a larger one crawling near the kitchen. And boy was it stuffy in there. I asked our waitress if she could move a floor fan near for some relief and to detour the gnats, she said she go ask but she never came back and when she did she completely forgot my request. We weren't seated in the greater eating area where it was cooler and maybe where the gnats were less of a bother. The food was delicious and homemade, you can tell it was made with high quality ingredients and that Southern skill that you can only get from helping Grandma in the kitchen. BUT the roaches made us lose our appetite. Such a shame. It seemed like the building went down. They don't seem to put as much effort into the condition of that place as they do the food. Dusty ceiling fans and crummy floors. I appreciate the homey vibe but it looked really junky, more stuff piled in unoccupied corners as before. I gave a lot of things the side eye, I mean it there has to be maintained asthetic. They charged an 18% gratuity on my tab for a party of 8 but I arrived with 4 people, the other 4 had already been there, paid and was almost done with their meal. Then of course the cashier/waitress still mentioned an additional, optional tip. I didn't think that was fair. At the end of it all she wasn't the best waitress.

Thursday I was standing in the middle of the road waiting to cross when a cop pulled over: "You okay?" "Yeah, just trying to get to Papa Delta Blues." He let me go. Legend. Worth every soggy shoe. Night 1: Brisket sold out after 8pm. American Airlines had only fed me one biscotti all day so I was feral. Waiter recommended the ribeye with mushroom sauce -- the good stuff from the Pappas family legacy, where the cows apparently have better résumés than most people. It arrived and I almost cried. He even sliced a piece to confirm medium rare like a steak sommelier. Sides were ridiculous. Went back ordered ribeye again. Did it plain. Did it with onions. Creamed corn changed my life. Staff is suspiciously nice. Brisket never stood a chance. This ribeye (and the walk) owns me now. Official Webster steak pilgrimage site. 10/10 would walk through a monsoon and traffic again!

The place was packed and there was a line of people waiting - I knew that was a good sign! The line moved fast and the staff were like worker bees - everybody getting the tables cleaned, people seated and orders taken with in minutes of sitting down. Our server SAL was top notch, explained everything on the menu that I drilled him about - really painted a picture of what the items was all about, helped me with making a selection! Give that kid a Gold Star - he is my server for life at Red OAK. He took care of us with a smile and quick service, what a shining star they got when they hired him! Now for the food - mercy is all I can say - the biscuits were out of this world - flaky, fluffy and fabulous! I got the Breakfast special and everything on the plate was perfect - the bacon was nice and crisp, hash browns were golden and egg really over easy - cooked to perfection. THE Pancakes - eyes rolling back in head - the biggest, fluffy golden brown things you have every seen and the syrup came in a glass carafe that warm syrup was an extra special touch. The food tasted okay, but it definitely lacked spices and in my opinion needs some TLC. One menu item that caught my attention was the Grown-Up Grilled Cheese: three types of cheeses, Granny Smith apple slices, bacon slices, and sourdough bread. Now I thought that the apple slices come on the side right? Nope, they were cooked in the sandwich. I don't know who came up with the concept of adding the apples into the sandwich, but whatever; I've tasted weirder things. Still, the sandwich didn't taste bad; that's just a weird concept in my opinion. The worst part of our service was the server. She didn't exactly introduce herself, but she did ask how we were with an apathetic tone. Like I said, she didn't tell us her name. Only way I can describe her is she wore eyeliner, red lipstick, and her blonde hair in a clip. During our visit to the restaurant, she just seemed like she hated her job and was emotionally constipated. When I wanted to substitute a side order of white chicken chili with the Grown-Up grilled cheese (I knew there would be an upcharge), she told me in a somewhat aggravated voice that there would be an upcharge. I told her calmly that I understood as the menu had specified. The only time she came by was to ask if we were done with our plates or needed a coffee refill, but not on how the food tasted. But yes, our server was probably the worst part of our visit. I've met Russians who were less cold than our server. I probably won't return unless the server gets an attitude adjustment or just leaves.

The ambiance was nice as we walked in, and after being quickly seated next to a window, the atmosphere was nice. They did end up covering the window before we started eating, and the little bulb way above us and candle did not really provide light enough for us to eat (I get it is mood lighting, but I like seeing what I eat). The food was really solid, though. A few times I've been in the past it was all too salty, but this time around it was much better. I got the Farm Bird, and it was very juicy and had a very nice crunch. The Fish and Chips were nice and flaky, while the Pork Chop was extremely juicy and rich. The shrimp in the rigatoni was definitely oversalted, as well as the broccolini greens in the pork chop dish. The appetizers we got (Brussels Sprouts and Spinach Artichoke Dip) were both okay, though I prefer garlic bread to the chip for the dip and the sprouts were a little one note. The whiskey cake itself was very good, though I recommend only one plate for a group of 6 or less because of how rich it is, especially if you get the ice cream addition. Overall a very surprising experience, and while it carries a heavy price tag, it is absolutely a good choice if you're looking for a nicer meal out here.
