This is my second visit to this location, I will say my first visit was much better than my most recent visit based on the fact that COVID-19 makes everything drab. I'm not fond of being forced to wear a mask, yes I'm a nurse I know all about infection control and I'm sorry but a mask is not going to protect you, and that's fine if you disagree. Besides the COVID-19 policy changes... the food that was available on the menu (minimal choices, just FYI) was enjoyable. As our starter we both decided on getting the chips and queso, and it was good.. not the best I've ever had but the flavor and thickness was delicious. It also came with salsa but wasn't really all that great, pretty basic. I ordered the smokehouse burger with fries the meat in the burger was juicy and the flavor was spot on, the pickles were perfect and tasted like they were sliced and made here, tomatoes weren't so good, I picked them off and the BBQ sauce was great. My bf got the 8 oz. steak and he got medium well and didn't care for how chewy it was but he did enjoy the flavor. We both enjoyed the fries, they were golden, crisped to perfection, and hot! I'm still sitting at my table as I write this review...this location's service is horrible. Our waiter definitely didn't want to be there, I get it...who wants to be at work? But if you work in the service industry you better pretend you are having the time of your life. Our waiter was extremely careless, we ordered a Coke and a Dr. Pepper, he brought two of each at the same time as if not to be bothered for refills later. When we finally got our food my had a long blonde hair, I told the waiter about it, he didn't even apologize, just grabbed the plate and took it with him. Supposedly they replaced my order but my salmon was way over cooked. This was a terrible experience.I got a dessert, never got spoons. Just terrible. read more

The food was fresh. I always get the Chicken Fried Chicken but those green beans... NO FAVOR. They don't use seasoning much by the taste of the food. Never really been a big fan of Cheddars(personally) but when family is in town we come here. The prices are the best thing here. My partner did order a margarita on the rocks and said that it was very good. read more

Well unfortunately we did not experience a warm greeting for our first visit since we arrived and was told they were closing soon ~ that was 2 mins My sister and I sat at the bar where we had great service by the bartender Jordan and will definitely have to come back again and hopefully he's waiting on us. We asked him if he could take our order he did say the kitchen was closing soon and we told him we just wanted a burger. Stopped in and saw my last review was for items that are no longer on the menu so figured I'd update my review. I was really hoping for an OK visit but here we are, and be it, I'm leaving a fair review. We stop in, or order take out about once every two or three months and I'm not sure we've ever not had an order wrong on take out or poor service or food on sit down service. This visit was just terrible service sadly. It wasn't busy at all and the front door associate was very pleasant however our server was far from that. There's no need for drawn out details but it was an awful visit. When we did eventually get our food, sporadically, it was cold or late to the point we took it to go. I gave two stars simply because a manager reached out to rectify the errors. Give additional service training to your servers. read more

5-2022 Frequented this location pre and post covid. The most recent visit was flawless, perfect service and delicious food. We were seated in the bar area, they have high tables and booths in the bar section. Our server was training another and both provided excellent service. We had the spinach dip without the sour cream on top. The dip was warm, creamy and cheesy it was perfect with the crispy chips and also served with salsa. The servers tried to bring over warm croissants and it took so much restraint to resist the warm flaky goodness. They have fountain diet Dr Pepper and the server had my refills ready. I ordered the 8 oz blackened salmon (you have a choice of Grilled, blackened or bourbon-glazed). You can not substitute the rice bed for another side, however they were able to remove it, my two sides of choice were steamed broccoli (no butter) and coleslaw. Made for a very light and filling meal. The salmon was mouthwatering if you are watching sodium, you may not want to choose the blackened. The coleslaw was sweet with just the right amount of tangy and went perfectly with the salmon. This was the 1st restaurant when NFM first opened and I am happy to see this place still surviving. read more

My friend and I went here around 3 pm on Monday 10/30/2023. The service was good, but it was pretty empty. I got the veggie philly and ate half of it, took the rest home. I warmed it up to eat for leftovers, and my second bite I bit into something hard. There was a literal quarter sized piece of cardboard in the sandwich. I enjoyed the Wisconsin cheese bites we got, as well as the complimentary croissants, and my friend liked his chicken alfredo - but this experience really made me not want to go back because I'm not sure how cardboard ended up in my food. read more

Visited the place about a month ago. Wonderful staff, good was fantastic and delicious. The wait wasn't too bad for a Friday night, and everyone had a great time! We had been seated immediately, despite the busy dinner rush, were given drinks, and the friendly waitstaff wasn't afraid to talk to us and offer his personal favorites. The honey butter rolls were a great complimentary appetizer, and my friend praised them to no end! My friends and I had a great time, and our food took a reasonable amount of time to arrive. The interior was quite classy, but definitely clean. Like some people have been saying in the reviews, I'm not sure why everyone has been reviewing so negatively, so I'm rounding up my 4 to a 5 for the unfair reviews as well. read more

We've eaten here during slow times (day after Valentine's Day), and exceptionally buys times (Sunday afternoon of Labor Day weekend). On both occasions, the staff & management was really on top of orders in terms of promptness, accuracy, and freshness. Considering the location within the super-crowded area thanks to Nebraska Furniture Mart (the restaurant is next door to it), I think that this location did okay. The restaurant chain offers an assortment of seafood, pasta, sandwich, and light items as many others in its restaurant classification often does. As much as I wanted to order the New Orleans pasta, it was served at a ridiculous high rate of calories (about 1,600) in comparison to what I ordered at 520 calories. After an appetizer of chips and spinach artichoke dip, entree of grilled chicken with seasoned shrimp, broccoli, black beans with pico de gallo, you really don't want to anything else. That is, if you want to stuff yourself to the point of taking a 4-hour nap afterwards, have at it. I just had more things to do on a Sunday afternoon. Altogether, three entrees (the kids shared a chicken & fries basket), one appetizer, and one regular drink of an unsweetened iced tea came to $50.01 with the tip included. Not cheap, yet not super expensive either (in comparison to the nearby MiCocina's). Certainly a decent venue to bring family when either shopping or traveling through The Colony and need to eat well. read more

Food was great as always but staffing definitely needs some work. We sat in the bar area, high top table but had to wait 10ish minutes for our server because she was swamped. There was only 2 people sitting at the bar so bartender definitely could have helped and put in our drink order/appetizer but didn't. It was our servers first day and he did a great job! The food was good and the painkiller was super sweet AND STRONG. It's a chain restaurant, so most would not classify it as an 'upscale dining experience' but it was a pleasant one! Food is always the same. Good and priced for the portions. Service carless. Servers are not doing rounds to check in on you. Took over 10 to get greeted. So we were ready to order. Server dropped off food and never saw him again. All others constantly walking past but not ours. Had some friends in the next booth him and the manager were sitting there while we needed water, boxes and the check. So I'm supposed to tip this guy even though he just took the order l?? Not the first time we leave a comment to cheddars with no reply. Okay so here's the last one and my commitment to boycotting cheddars. Each time it's been different servers. Curbside pickup is better and faster than dining inside. I never have any issues when I order online but the one time I've dined In was horrible. My entire meal came out and my fries were missing. I finished my meal before the fries came 20 mins later. They weren't even busy customer wise. They could be suffering from staff shortage. I like the monte cristo sandwich and the crispy chicken fingers. They have a really good honey mustard sauce. I continue to go here because it's convenient. read more

A group of eight was in the lobby waiting for a table and they had a little schnauzer type dog in a stroller type carrier. This was obviously not a service dog. I said something to the assistant manager about it and he asked the manager on duty of they allowed dogs. They don't, unless they are a service animal. I went with my girlfriend and she got steak. The first steak she had was over cooked and had an interesting taste, so we got another steak. The second one was cooked right, but the taste was sour. Our server was really great and took off the expired steak. We will not be eating at this cheddar's again. Update: we both got food poisoning. read more

They start you off with the most delicious honey butter croissants - I was shocked they were complimentary with our meal! My husband and I started off with cheese fries (probably can feed a group of 5), and they were bomb! We were shopping at Nebraska Furniture mart and wanted to find a restaurant that wasn't as crowded. Cheddars looked like just the place. We ate in the bar and although the restaurant was fairly empty and the bar only had 3 other people, our service was super slow. Our bar drinks took 25 minutes. Then our food came a couple of minutes later. No one came by to refill water and we paid on the kiosk before leaving. The watermelon drink I got was really good. And our food was great. Went to Cheddars and decided to get the meatloaf. They brought it out and it looked terrible. It looked like dog food or two hockey pucks and tasted like dog food. Sent it back and got a hamburger and thought they could not mess that up. Well they did. The bun was cold, the meat WAS NOT ETABLE and was so well cooked I could not eat it.
