I'm honestly surprised by all of these negative reviews.. I've had nothing but positive experiences at Cheddar's! The only bummer about this location is that you can always expect a wait at dinner time. However, we normally just head over to the bar area and order a drink plus some of their delicious queso if the expected wait is long enough. What really wins me over is the menu. A ton of options all for super affordable prices! Burgers are good, steamed broccoli melts in your mouth, and great pastas too. Add in their drink menu full of fun margaritas, cocktails, etc. for around $6 or $7?? This is probably my favorite place to go when I want to have a nice dinner out without breaking the bank. Tonight's dinner was not impressed. Burgers was served with cold fries. The bread was soggy so that's how you can tell when the food was sitting in the counter for a while not being served to the table. My grilled shrimp Alfredo was salty, my mom's chicken pot pie was good it was hot. Not a good dinner for me. read more

If you have not been to Cheddars, you are missing out. This place boasts a scratch kitchen and boy you can tell in the food. Everything is delicious, but the honey butter croissants and stupid good. The chicken pot pie is one of my favs and my bf loves the steak, which is always cooked perfectly. It is no way a customer should receive this for utensils. I ate my food with plastic ware. I then order a top-shelf margarita that had way too much syrup so I sent it back and had a sangria. Lastly, I ordered the key west chicken and shrimp and I wasn't impressed with the presentation or the taste. It's been about 2 years since I have eaten at Cheddars because I felt the food quality had declined. We decided to go in the middle of the afternoon for less exposure to people. There were 8 customers including us. All the tables were completely empty. My husband wanted The Monte Cristo and House Salad Lunch Special. It was just after 4 and he had to order it all. (He only wanted the half sandwich.) They had the vegetable sides on the menu but not the Vegetable Plate which comes with four vegetables and a House salad. That is normally about $8 ($7.58 I think). This would have cost $2.50 per item because they wouldn't let me have it the meal. I was not paying $12.00 for it. I felt like they should have been reasonably flexible. I did not eat. Having to make a Costco run, I stopped in here for dinner early one night. As I like to sit in a booth, I asked if there was an open one available. The young maitre d told me there were none open, despite there being well, nine of them open (I counted). She sat me at a table and then asked, "Is this OK?" I stared at an open booth and asked if I could sit there and she said yes. Sigh.... As for the rest of the experience, it was really good. This is my first time visiting this location. Usually I'm very skeptical about coming to cheddars but this was a good experience for my dad and myself. Our server was Carlos, really attentive to our needs and very professional! I usually have bad experiences with servers but Carlos did not disappoint! I came here to Cheddars after shopping at IKEA and I had an awesome meal and service as well. It was during rush hour and traffic can be kind of hectic but the good thing was that the restaurant was empty. I ordered a 6 ounce steak with a side of loaded baked potato and house salad. Normally the waiter brings one small cup of ranch, however this waiter brought TWO cups of ranch and in a bit of a ranch freak. Usually I have to ask for another cup of ranch every time I go. Thought we would have another great experience, check out my earlier review. We then waited about 10 minutes when Amy came back to tell me the request for no corn means no beans on the nachos as well. I asked if it was too late to change my order and she said yes. I said okay. 30 minutes later our food had not been delivered and she never came back. I had to ask a server to get Amy. I asked to pay for my drinks and Amy said the food was on the way out. Usually love coming here, servers are always so nice and not too much of a wait- if any at all. My husband and I come here pretty often due to service and food, as usual we both order steak and sides. When the steaks came out my husbands was fine but mine was almost raw only the outside was barely cooked. Trying to cut into was so hard and kind of gross, almost pulling the meat apart. My server (Mike) quickly observed my steak and knew something was wrong, he took it back and had them cook it more for me. Mike was great at assisting me and had concern for my food. This is our go to date night with the kids restaurant. The drinks are cheap and the menu has a good variety. This night we were celebrating my birthday so we expected something. The waitress came by all of three times, to take our order, drop our food, and provide the check. Our food came out separately and my husband had ice cold Mac n cheese. Incompetent management. I don't know if its just this location or this is a running theme with Cheddars, but goodness gracious. If you're party is larger than 4 people expect an insane wait as they literally have 1 large table that can fit more than 4 people. We came here with a large party one evening and ended up waiting for over 2 hours despite calling ahead and making a reservation (hostess who answered said they put down my party's name). We arrive and lo and behold "we have nothing written down about that". This was almost a complete service failure, save for our waiter who actually popped off and did everything perfectly. This is the only reason I even want to give this review 3 stars, as I originally wanted to give it 1. Regardless, food is bleh, management is lol, and wait stuff is either hit or miss...luckily ours was a complete hit. I'm done with the covid excuse. Cheddars corporate took away the World Famous Chicken sandwich, the Cheese Steak sandwich and the fajita with black bean meal. Now we find ourselves only going because we look forward to the chocolate cake and big cookie desserts. Please bring those meals back? I mean you get a lot of food for an inexpensive price. I went on a Sunday and they had lunch specials (even on the weekends!) My friend and I had the lunch special, I had the soup and half a sandwich and she had soup and a bake potato. They were both good and filling, $15.00. You can't beat that price and that quality of food! I've tried the burgers, very good, chicken pot pie, not bad and the onion rings! Oh... Well I guess I'm on s roll. This place looked really great and the waitress seemed so nice at first. I ordered the salmon lain with rice , carrots and green beans. My husband got the 6 oz steak . His food was good. Mine was cold and when I asked for it to be tea heated, the waitress seemed a bit miffed. Then my soda glass had a gross hard bit of food stuck to it. I asked for "a diet cola light ice". I told her my glass was dirty and showed her. She left it in the table while bringing me a new one full of ice. When I asked for a redo of the soda she got ticked off that I had already asked once for light ice, got a dirty glass and then got a new one full of ice. So I asked for a new soda "light ice". I finally had to ask her to please remove my dirty glass filled with soda, from our table. I finally got my diet sodas with light ice but she had attic, believe me. Then my food came and it was reheated in a microwave and it tasted just "ok". The green beans and carrots tasted good reheated,luckily. All in all, not my best 1st experience tonight and definitely not my favorite place to eat on our trip thus far. I get COVID has everyone doing their best but I expected a little more. Ordered food and waited for over an hour after site said would be ready. There was zero organization for getting curbside orders out the door. The food finally came and was cold not warm but cold. Also missing sides and no dressing for the salad.
