If I could leave -1 stars I would. Our Mac n cheese and asparagus weren't in the bag. Our steaks couldn't even be cut through because of the tendons and they shouldn't even have had them! So disgusted. And I couldn't go back bc I ordered these for my coworkers and I for lunch.

Grilled shrimp over rice!

I've eaten there several times, and I've never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is very casual and comfortable, the service is always timely, and food is well worth the price. During this visit, I had the New York strip steak, and some grilled shrimp. Both the steak and the shrimp were cooked perfectly and the dragonfruit margarita was potent and flavorful! Let's not forget the side salad, and the fried brussels sprouts, which were also very tasty. Of the restaurants that are comparable, Longhorn Steakhouse fit the bill in every way!

Decided to try this restaurant again It was nice and clean. Our server was very friendly and informative. The food was delicious and more than enough. Our team gets together at least once a month to fellowship this restaurant will definitely stay on our list to visit.

Ye old Christmas longhorn. He takes his job seriously.

This review is for the Live Oak, Texas location... Get the 9oz "Flo's Filet" and add the lobster tail. Life changing scrumptiousness. Always great service at the bar, and I've never had to send a steak back because it was cooked wrong. There is always a wait to be seated in the dining area, but my wife and I usually have no problem grabbing a seat at the bar. This is definitely one of the better chain steakhouses in the area. I'll be back!

Standard Longhorn. Not better, not worse than any other. The location is wildly inconvenient and with the construction not easy to get to.

They are open Wednesday through Saturday. A nice couple in the food truck helped me out. They have a large menu of meats and said they had all the meats on the menu today. I opted for the two meat combo with brisket and turkey. Had green beans and mac & cheese as my sides. Some of the best sauce in the area. I could have used another serving. Not overly sweet and may have included mustard. Brisket was good, but not great. It really needed more smoking time to get a thicker smoke ring and cold have benefitted by more bark. The turkey was tasty and had a good smoke flavor. The green beans were cooked with bacon and seasoned with pepper. I liked the flavor, but the beans were too mushy for me. I wish they used fresh green beans. The mac and cheese was very good. Nice and creamy with a good cheese flavor.

We ordered a pound of moist brisket and a jalapeno sausage link and some drinks and were served promptly by the friendly staff. Since it was the middle of the afternoon they weren't busy but the place was clean and the staff was helpful. Now, the taste test. The brisket was hot, juicy, and very flavorful. The jalapeno sausage link was also spicy with great snap and it was quite tasty. Yes, we didn't get any sides but I don't go to a BBQ place to eat sides. I want to taste the MEAT and it was delicious and the star of the show. I'm not a big sauce guy either but their Rudy's sause IG good with a tangy flavor. While they may not be on the Texas Monthly list of top BBQ places, they put out a satisfying meal for the money and are veteran friendly offering a free meal when they sign up for their veterans club. The only drawback at this location is that the highway construction makes entry and exit tough. Good experience, we will be back!

Let me start by saying we came on Valentine's Day with reservations…read more Service: Fantastic! Our server Alizae was great. Very friendly, happy, and attentive. She knew portion sizes, flavor profiles, and made sure we were happy with food selections. Ambiance: place is trendy. Decor was really nice and the place felt welcoming. My spouse and I could converse in a regular level and never felt as if we needed to shout to be heard. Food: Delicious! We opted for the 7 course prefix meal and it didn't disappoint. We added the shrimp and Brussels sprouts appetizer (which we took home). As this was our first time, we don't realize they had different menus. Everything we had was phenomenal. We will be back. But once we sat down, it made sense. Everything is made to order, and you can taste the difference. There was only one server handling the entire floor, and when a rush hit all at once, it definitely got busy fast. But here's the thing... she handled it with grace. Even when you could tell she was juggling a lot, she stayed attentive, kind, and kept checking in on us. That kind of effort deserves recognition. Now let's talk about the real star of the show... The Texas French Toast. Oh. My. Goodness. Thick, golden, perfectly cooked slices topped with homemade whipped cream and fresh berries that tasted like they were picked that morning. It wasn't just good, it was indulgent in the best way. Sweet without being overwhelming. Rich but balanced. I couldn't even finish it (which says a lot), and happily boxed the rest up. The only regret? I ate all the berries first. Rookie mistake. My husband ordered one of the hash plates and said it was solid comfort food... hearty, flavorful, and filling. He couldn't finish his either, so I'm definitely sneaking a few bites later. Overall, we left impressed. The food feels intentional. The flavors feel thoughtful. It's the kind of local spot you want to root for. And the fact that they serve pork lumpia for lunch? Say less. We'll be back for that. If you're looking for a cozy, made-from-scratch brunch spot in Universal City, this one is worth the wait. Good food takes time, and this place proves it. ***This review is based on my taste buds. It's not bad. It's typical diner fare, located in a strip center…read more I'll go back, but I will try something different. Both dishes were overwhelmingly salty, and the salt overpowered the flavors of each entrée. The biscuit served with the eggs bene was dry, and the ham on my eggs benedict tasted like cheap lunch meat, which was really underwhelming for a dish like this. While the eggs themselves were cooked well, I couldn't help but wonder, where was the Hollandaise sauce? The key part of the dish was missing. The pulled pork biscuit was tasty, but again - it was overly salty.

AH. WANTED TO LOVE IT, DIDN'T END UP EVEN LIKING IT. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE THOUGH!…read more Service: 4/5 It looked like a one man show- I can appreciate that. The man who I assume could be the owner, was a server, cashier, and the cleaning crew. Haha. He looked a bit serious but he was very kind. Food: 2/5 I hate to admit it, but just like some of the lower reviews said- the food was so bland. I mean, not a taste of seasoning. I ordered a chicken fried biscuit with gravy, and it came with potatoes. My sister ordered a bacon croissant. I'll start off with mine. They did give me a rather large hunk of chicken; the batter slid right off and the chicken itself was tasteless, I do mean absolutely tasteless :( The biscuit was so dry, and crumbly. Possibly day old? Not sure. I slapped some of their homemade jam (Now that jam was wonderful! ) however they don't give too much of anything (butter, gravy, jam) so I do feel the sandwich would be better if it was maybe made smaller? I'm not sure. It was just a huge biscuit with nothing to slather it with. The gravy portion is really not fair, lol. Since the biscuit was super dry and again SUPER bland, I do feel they should make the gravy a bigger portion. My sister said her bacon croissant "was nothing special. I could've made it at home." I also want to throw out there that their drinks also need some help. I ordered a strawberry lemonade, my sister did a "freshly brewed tea" ah. The tea was bitter as heck and the lemonade tasted like it was pure strawberry syrup. :( Price: 2/5 I spent $30.00 on two plates, that Indeed we could've just made at home for 1/3 of the price. I know food is at an all time high right now, but this meal was not worth my hard earned money. We couldn't find one thing we actually enjoyed about it. Overall: 1/5. I hate to be honest because I really want to see small shops thrive; whenever I go to a restaurant I ask myself "Would you come back?" And the answer for Happy Cafe is absolutely not. The food, the atmosphere, the drinks, everything was just not for us. The restaurant itself needs some deep cleaning, an upgraded menu, and maybe some new tables (ours were peeling and super sticky) however, if I'm being honest I can get past that- but I simply will not return due to the food. As some of the others said, I don't know how this place is so highly rated (love that for them) but it just wasn't for me and my family, maybe it will be for yours.
