What I can say for Cheddars is that the service is always good. The manager comes around to each table and talks to the customers. We really liked that. Shows he's personable and cares about our experience. Cheddars is a good place to go if you're looking for something at a reasonable price. Their chicken strips and honey mustard are very good. And the onion ring app is good too. Recently we ordered the Wisconsin fried cheese and the Monte Cristo sandwich. The fried cheese was just ok. Tasted like something you'd just make at home. But the ranch was tasty. The sandwich wasn't great. It was cold in the middle and the batter was so thick it was like eating a funnel cake. Those two items we would not order in the future. But they do have some other items I'd like to try. You just have to go with the mindset you're not going to get a high quality meal but the meals aren't bad. Good place To take kids for sure. We waited 25 minutes after we placed our order to receive our food. Once we got it ... it was not even hot. Buffalo chicken wrap chicken was warm fries were sitting under a heat lamp too long. Zero stars. Never have been to a Cheddars. Was my Birthday so I decided to drive the hour up there and give Cheddars a try. Awful experience ever in a restaurant. The Croissants were stale and hard. Was given another 2. Same with them. Just nasty. Waiter seem to get agitated that I didn't like the suggestions of Salmon or Alfredo dish. I don't like either. I'm sure there is plenty of foods is doesn't like. But to act offended by it. Is ridiculous. I ordered the fried white fish w/Cheese broccoli rice. Well the fish was raw inside the light batter and the side was a clump together mush. I got really sick on the way home. It is so dark inside I could not see the the fish was raw just tasted mushy. Daughter ordered chicken potpie. Suppose to be filled to the brim as menu say's. More like half full with a tissue crust that is so stuck to the bowl you can't eat it. And all food was cold. The bathroom was fitly. Two wait staff in the back got into an argument and were so loud they could be heard thru out the restaurant. No other staff seemed to be bothered by this. First time at Cheddars, and it became one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant. I wish I could give it zero stars. We went for my mom's birthday, and it was anything but happy. The waiter got an attitude when we needed a few more minutes to look at the menu and mentioned we don't like salmon or alfredo after he recommended them. Then proceeded to act fake nice. The only thing I can say is that he kept our drinks refilled. The worst part is that some guy in the kitchen started yelling at another employee (loud enough to be heard through the entire building), and that said employee seemed to feel threatened as he kept backing away from the guy that was yelling at him. I got nervous because I honestly started expecting a fist fight to occur. As for the food... Everything came to our table cold-lukewarm. Croissants were stale, dry, and tasted like they sat under the heating lamp for a week. Honey butter was a joke. My mom's fish was undercooked to the point it was still pink and gummy, not to mention it made her sick. The pot pie is described as being filled to the brim with chicken and vegetables, but I barely got half a bowl. I literally got 5-6 pieces of steamed broccoli. Chips, queso, and salsa tasted like they were store bought. Honestly, nothing tasted like it was made 'from scratch'. It's very dark inside, and the women's bathroom was dirty and the floor sticky. The paying system is awful here, they have these tablets that your pay your own bill with. I've noticed this is because a normal thing across multiple restaurants. The problem is we had separate checks and our orders were all mixed and the tablets were glitching out. I paid our order then the tablet acted like the payment didn't go through. So management wanted us to pay again when we had already paid. He told us he would "comp" the check which I tried explaining we had already paid the bill. Went to eat today around 3pm today. I ordered salmon, all 3 of the rest of my party ordered steak. My son's rib eye was grey in color and tasted freezer burnt. Absolutely disgusting. My daughter's steak came over cooked. They took it back brought her a new one pretty much raw! My son's girlfriend also had steak, again cooked wrong and absolutely disgusting. My salmon was ok. Stopped in here after my monthly visit to homegoods right down the street. I came in on during a monday right at noon expecting it to be packed we got seated right away! We got seated in the bar along a wall booth and the bartender was our waitress who was really on top of her game and kept refilling drinks and making sure we were okay! Which was really nice because sometimes managing the bar and tables this doesn't usually happen. This place is a chain and has a chain feel however their food quality is great, large portions and their prices are phenomenal! We ordered the chicken tender platter which came with FOUR tenders, fries and we asked for corn instead as our other side and a dipping sauce all for $9.79. I was browsing the menu and their LIT drinks are $4.79 who serves drinks this cheap anymore?! Not many places that's for sure! Our chicken was delicious crispy flaky yummy batter that we devoured, the fries were baked just the perfect amount and the corn was pretty dang good! It definitely had butter. One thing i noticed on the menu is that they clearly listed the calories of every single item which i really like when places do this. It helps make me decide on what to order and feel better about what I'm eating. The service was fast, friendly and the food was great! I'm so glad I chose to celebrate my 21st birthday at Cheddar's. The food was amazing and the Painkiller was the best drink I've had so far! I highly recommend it! I was coerced to leave one star. Upon entry, the greeting staff made me feel like me, my wife, and 3 children were an inconvenience. I was quickly seated and greeted by a very pleasant and attentive waiting staff member. My wife's meal was ice cold brought out to her, along with my kids fries. My food was good. I ordered the salmon. My wife's chicken fried steak was over cooked and her mash potatoes was cold. Cheddars is one of my favorite restaurants, however, I would not recommend this location.
