This is our new favorite restaurant in town. Large portions, great food and the fast friendly service impressed us very much. Came in on a Saturday around 7:00 pm and we were seated in under 5 minutes. Food was ready in less than 20 minutes. We felt the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The food was good, but the wait between the order and the arrival of the food was interminable! And this on a day when the restaurant wasn't even so busy! I've been here twice once in the evening and another time during the lunch Saturday time. Both times our servers were very lively and eager to be of service. The food was good on both occasions. I think that the buzz has generated a lot more people trying this place out. I like the interiors. My Dad had the mushroom cheese burger and that he liked a lot. They have lower calorie dishes like the lemon pepper fish and salad I had. The waitress we had was very attentive and gave us refills of our drinks to go. Very busy, even at 5pm. Sat at the bar instead of waiting. Service was good and food was surprisingly good as well. Had ribs and chicken tinders (suggest getting a side of bbq sauce instead of honey mustard). Ribs were moist and tasty. Wife enjoyed her catfish. Will probably come again. read more

I love how they release some of their fish in that giant aquarium back into the ocean. It's really nice.

What a beautiful restaurant! Gorgeous Decour, granite, stone and bricks. They have the best aquarium in Lafayette. The tables were a little too high for my comfort and the red beans with rice and black beans were a little too spicy. The wait staff didn't seem to keep the water glasses full. My sisters and I came here and was seated instantly, we sat there at the table for a good 10-15 mins with no acknowledgment. No one offered us drinks or anything. To remind you it wasn't crowded at all, we noticed a waiter circling our area several times but still no acknowledgement so my sister finally says" excuse me " he sighed as if he heard her but continued to ignore us . Five minutes later he walked past and said he'll be with us in few, we finally got up and told management and left. This by far was definitely bad customer service !!! We sat here for 10 minutes. No one acknowledged us. The waiter walked past us 3 times. Finally I said excuse me, he kept walking. 2 minutes later he walked past and said "I'll be right with you." I had a very good experience today. There was a problem with my order. When I brought it to the attention of our server, Tara, she took care of the situation. Tara went above and beyond what she needed to do. The manager even spoke to us and was very kind. Tara made our dining experience today a very pleasant one. First time I've been here. Food and service was great! We had a group of 6. Onion ring appetizer outstanding. Chicken fingers and ribs are great. First time last time. Sat in bar area, server did not want to be their. Good thing was not in a hurry took forever to get food. Asked for napkins with onion rings 3 times and never got any. Kids who bring out food don't have a clue other than bring out food. Delivered food still no napkins and now no silverware. Finally got utensils and napkin after 5 min needless to say food now is colder, was not hot to start with. Oh almost forgot, asked for ketchup twice and never did get delivered to table. Don't want to sound impatient, but table next to us came in 20 min later, there food was at there table same time as ours and they got ketchup as soon as they asked for it. First time here and it was terrible. We ordered drinks from the bar and it took forever to get them. Our waitress claimed they were still being made but when we finally got our drinks the ice was melted and the beer was luke warm. And then our food.. we are waiting and waiting and the cook comes out to the table next to us (who just ordered) and told them they had lost their ticket and the food would be out shortly. He then brings OUR FOOD. And tells THE OTHER TABLE that the waitress told him the wrong table and nothing was said to us AT ALL even though the wrong table received a sincere apology. And these weren't the only issues. Our waitress never asked if anyone wanted refills on drinks we had to ask someone else who wasn't our waiter. She never checked on us unless we flagged her down for something and was very unfriendly the entire time. All in all I am only rating this establishment one star because I can't rate it zero. read more

I was so excited before this place opened to try it out. I've visited several times. Every time I've been the quality of service and food gets worse. Twice now I've ordered a dinner salad and they've forgotten to bring it before the entree. The cooks don't seem to understand how to read a ticket. My boyfriend always orders the same thing, nachos, beef and cheese, nothing else on the plate and they bring it to the table and all the condiments are in the plate. Bourbon glazed and blackened salmon come out interchanged, and smoked ribs are now honey BBQ...they never get the order right. The biggest pet peeve is they don't allow reservations for large parties. I called and spoke with a manager to see if there was any way they could accommodate a party of twelve to be guaranteed a table in a timely matter and he refused to help. Their loss, easily a several hundred dollar ticket, and I tip well. read more

For the price this place is very good. I have had frozen coconut cocktails and for $6 you can't complain, they were yummy! I have had dinner here over a handful of times and never had bad service so I am baffled by all the bad reviews. I have tried various items without disappointment but I wish there were more salad options and healthy options. read more

When my daughter and I were being seated, they walked us all the way thru the restaurant past many open tables and seated us in the back room at a table that wobbled. The hostess even pointed it out to us and apologized for it...why wouldn't she just seat us at a different table and have someone fix it ...??? The waiter was obviously new and, well, let's just say he struggled a bit. Repeated back my order incorrectly...at least he did repeat it back so we had a chance to correct it. I have been here a few times now. Each time they are very busy but I've been seated within 15 minutes. One time I had a server that was OVERLY attentive and every 2 minutes she was asking if we needed anything or was everything ok. Could not even have a conversation. Last night I was there with a group of 8 for a Christmas get together. They were swamped. I was told it was a 20 minute wait if I wanted two booths back to back (for 4 people each) or longer for side to side or a larger table for all 8. It ended up being 45 minutes and we ended up with two booths back to back. We went as a group but had to split up basically. Which defeated the purpose. We were told they only have two tables in the whole house that would accommodate 8 people. DO NOT go here if you have more than 4 or 6 people in your group! They are not set up for that and I think it is poorly planned out. Disappointed that I talked my group into going there instead of Olive Garden where we usually go for our annual get together. Olive Garden can accommodate that size and seats us all at one table. read more

Wonderful atmosphere that is really capturing. We were seated quickly and our waitress was delightful. My drink was never empty and our food came out fast and hot. The food is very good and we were surprised as to how cheap it was. We ordered off the lunch menu and I got a Caesar salad, bowl of soup, and half a club sandwich for under $8. It was a lot of food and I couldn't finish it was so much. And I'm kind of a big dude. Great please and I will be returning again. read more

I came here with my friends on Friday and the service was AWFUL, we waited for over an hour for our food, people who got there before us got their food and even left before we got ours. There is no consentience here. Tonight we sat at a table in the bar and wait almost tens minutes for a waiter. The bar tender ended up being our waiter. We order are food and drinks right away. We did not get a drinks for another ten minutes. She forgot to get our salads until I waved at her to reminder her. Then when she brought them she just threw the on the table. My salad had a ton of carrots that you could tell she just threw on it. When are meals came I got broccoli that was dried out with salt dump on it and it was brown. The chicken was dried out garbage. It was supposed to have a lemon sauce and mushrooms none on the plate just rice. I have had this dish before and it was vey good last time. The other dinner we ordered we asked for tarter sauce and barbeque sauce, we got shrimp sauce and honey mustard sauce. I asked the person who brought the meals for another ice tea and she said she would tell the bar tender and we asked for tarter sauce and ketchup. never got it. The manager coup the meal however the service and food are not worth going there again. It was one of the worst meals and service I ever had. read more
