    Homemade Onion Rings - delicious
    Ashley T.

I came for dinner with a group of people and Cheddars was a good spot for that. The menu has a lot of options at pretty fair prices. We ordered a few starters the cheese curds and a couple of orders of the onion rings. Both were delicious! For my main I ordered the chicken tenders which were just okay. There was a lot of breading around the chicken. Now if you are a fan of breading these would be right up your alley but I personally do not like very much breading so I ended up dissecting the tenders. For my side I got the broccoli which was very tasty. I would say Cheddars is the perfect spot to come with a group and order drinks and appetizers!

A local coworker suggested this place when my coworker also from Phoenix, Arizona was looking for a quick lunch spot while on my work trip to the Jacksonville office. We were seated quickly and our waitress was very friendly. Loved the croissants they brought while we waited, and felt very welcome. Very comfortable booth and enjoyed the conversation with my coworkers while we waited for our food. As for food, I had the bourbon-glazed salmon & shrimp. The homemade bourbon sauce had me drooling! I would definitely order again and found myself craving a couple days later. May return before I'm back, and have on my radar if work sends me here again.

We had a lunch date with our daughter, her husband and kids at Cheddars's scratch kitchen in Jacksonville. We started with the Spinach Dip, with chips, and a side of salsa too. Everyone loved it. The buttered croissants arrived hot and according to everyone, delicious! Our waitress Tanahiry ** Was exceedingly professional, kind and very attentive to our needs, and order request. I dare say she was one of the best waitresses we've had the pleasure of meeting in a long time! We had a variety of different orders and everyone at the table was pleased with their food. The grilled pork chops were terrific, and the sides were good too! The coffee was hot, and the taste was spot on. The price is normal for the area, a little pricey for 6 of us, but it was worth it. The restaurant is clean and well lighted (a big plus for me.) We would definitely come back to Cheddars.

Hanged out with colleagues for dinner and dessert at Cheddars Town Center before Thanksgiving as we gave each other gifts and spend time with each other's families. Mustard Chicken was my pick with sides of corn, mushrooms and red rice. It was warm and tasted alright. I should have added a little more gravy. Had the chocolate fudge cake and took a bite of the Apple Pie, they were both creamy and delicious. The payment iPad device had a bit of an issue as it automatically toggles through the tip and eventually selects 20% which the staff is aware of. Thanks for letting us know. This is a good place to bring family and friends as it is very spacious and great for get-togethers and there is plenty of parking outside.

My 1st time trying this & it wasn't bad at all. The sauce that comes with it really elevated the flavor!

Nate, our server, did an excellent job. Very professional, clean and presentable. The food was tasty. I enjoyed the croissants. The carrot cake was an absolute amazing. Hostess was not at the front so we had to wait for 5 minutes. She was not attentive. I would still come back and give the hostess a chance.

Service was quick and the drinks were great. The food came out hot with big portions, and everything tasted fresh. What stood out was having a gluten free menu it's not something you find everywhere, and it makes it easy to order without stress. Felt good to be there with my large over 10+ people group and we weren't rushed

We had a wonderful experience for lunch! Our waiter Zurich was so fun and friendly. He gave great suggestions and absolutely helped to sort out the large variety of options available. The complimentary honey butter croissant arrived warm and flaky... fresh out of the oven! It was so delicious I ordered 6 more to take home! We were starving so absolutely spoiled our appetite with a deliciously large trio appetizer that was plenty for our table of 3. We chose the loaded fries, chicken tenders, and spinach dip. All very good! My sister and I decided to share the steak tips given our generous portions of the appetizers and croissants and it was plenty... very flavorful however a little over salted for my personal preference. I did very much enjoy the broccoli cheddar rice casserole added as an extra side. There is also a full bar with many cocktail options that I look forward to trying the next time. There is so much variety that you can truly visit often and not have the same thing twice! Also, the value for the food is a quite nice bonus when you get the bill!

We were sat immediately, but then it took 23 minutes just to get an iced tea. We almost left just as our server finally brought out of teas. Then, there was literally a long black piece of hair in my husband's side salad. We told the server immediately, she carried it away saying it wasn't her hair but she would let her manager know. Well, my husband is bald and I have long blonde hair, definitely not ours either. The manager came over apologizing and saying she took the two teas off of our bill, so $6, her words, then walked away never to return. After that, our food came out. I couldn't eat my buffalo chicken wrap, I was completely put off of eating and the entire dining experience there. It's a shame because I have always loved going to the cheddars in Texas and was excited to go today but now sadly, I'm not sure I'll return to that location. Poor service, hair in the food, poor management response, not cool at all.

I love Cheddars so anytime I am near one i want to go even if its just for the croissants and a caesar salad. Tonight I ordered salmon, rice, broccoli as a baked potato. The salmon and broccoli was over cooked and the potato was undercooked.

Great! No wait (added ourselves to the waitlist before arriving--super convenient). Server, Fallon, was attentive, nice and offered recommendations. Food and drinks were quick and delicious!! (I couldn't get a pic of the entree bc I devoured it too quickly) but try the Painkiller drink (their house specialty).

Ok so, I have been to Cheddar's multiple times and let me tell you, this place sucks. The food is meh, the ambience is pretty, but the service is absolutely terrible. If you go there and order, order everything at once!!! It takes about 20 minutes to get your DRINKS! Yes! The first thing you order! The extra plates they give you are dirty but the croissants are yummy yummers. If you come here just take the croissants and run.

He mentioned wait times for tables, so I chose a Tuesday evening to try to avoid the crowds and it worked as I was immediately sat upon arriving. There are QR Menus on the table and my server directed me to view there. I spotted the Tokyo and was intrigued by the Ajitama Brûlée (signature torched seasoned soft boiled egg). What I Ordered: - Tokyo: For $16.95, I thought this was reasonably priced and excited to try as reading reviews raved about the umami flavor of their ramen. Without exaggeration, this was a life-changing ramen. The best ramen that I've had in my life!! The torched egg was genius and added a beautiful texture to the rich, and flavorful broth. The fried chicken thigh was a delicious protein and cooked so well. Honestly, every ingredient was crafted well and combined to make such a beautiful bowl. - Lychee Martini: What better way to toast to life, then with a martini! The popping bubbles were not my thing, but the flavor of the martini was delicious. I can see why many suggest trying it. This is my 1900th review on Yelp, and I couldn't pick a better place to review and RAVE about my experience. If you are in Jacksonville, RUN don't walk to this location for a stunning experience as it's a gorgeous location that is very cozy. Though I didn't wait, I definitely would to have a Tokyo Ramen again!

During our visit, a manager engaged in repeated personal interactions with my guest that felt outside the bounds of typical professional service. While I understand that friendliness is part of hospitality, the frequency and tone of these interactions became uncomfortable and detracted from the overall experience. Unfortunately, I did not receive a meaningful response or any indication that the concern was taken seriously. I'm sharing this here so others have a complete picture when deciding where to go, and so the business has another opportunity to reflect on how customer interactions are handled. With more attentive management and clearer boundaries for staff, this could be a much stronger experience.

The burger started off strong with a nice smoky flavor, and the tanginess of the BBQ sauce gave it a great taste. However, the burger patty itself lacked seasoning and didn't have the flavor I was expecting. The bacon was nice and crispy, which was a plus. Many recommended oxtails, which I had never tried since I've eaten mostly vegetarian for 10+ years of my life. My doctor has suggested reintroducing some meat to see how I can tolerate with digestive disorders, so I figured give this location and oxtails a chance! For lunch one day, another coworker who traveled from Phoenix with me decided to go to lunch here. She ordered the daily special meatloaf with collared greens and said they were pretty average. She previously had someone bring in lunch from this location, and she remarked the pork chops were very delicious. Likely a case of ordering the wrong item; as another coworker mentioned the baked chicken wasn't that spectacular. What I've learned? When you dine soul food, you don't mind calories. My oxtails were delicious and fell off the bone. It reminded me of pot roast on the flavor and tenderness. Very hearty and filling. I also had the mac n cheese, which to be expected from a soul place, was divine! I found myself wishing I didn't go with a vegetable (broccoli) and did double Mac n cheese. Food for thought for a next visit if I'm sent to Jacksonville again for work as this location is only about 6 miles from the hotel/work office. If you are looking for soul food, give this location a try. It is styled like a cafeteria for lunch, so we didn't find the ambiance as relaxing as other places we went. The staff was pretty friendly and appreciate them offering a side recommendation, though shocked they said broccoli or corn as their favorite. Nonetheless, a great soul food stop if you are in the mood.
