Stopped in for lunch on Memorial Day. We were doing some shopping at the town center and wanted something with variety for us and the kids. It was pretty dead when we arrived around 11:30 but got busier as we were leaving. The complimentary croissants are really yummy and a nice start to the meal. I had a mule to drink but didn't love it. It felt like the ratio of vodka to ginger beer was off, and my husband agreed it wasn't the best. The kids had pasta and chicken strips. My husband had the Cajun chicken bowl, and I went with my go-to, the vegetable plate. I got a side salad with broccoli cheese casserole, corn, green beans, and mashed potatoes. I personally LOVE the mix & match option of the vegetable plate. Very versatile. My husband gave his bowl a 4/5- said it was a little on the salty side. The restaurant was quiet. Hello all. Today the Wife and I decided to go to Cheddars for a late lunch early dinner. Well as we walked up to the door a elderly couple stopped us and told us that they didnt have no waiter in the building and they wouldn't be there for a few minutes. We decided to wake because I was starving. Wifey had the 8oz Salmon with Loaded Mash and Broccoli. First timer and loved the complimentary croissant! Had the Key West chicken & shrimp. It was delicious, tender chicken breast and the pineapple pico de gallo was very flavorful! The restaurant needed to be vacuumed but that happens after a busy Sunday brunch. I came for dinner with a group of people and Cheddars was a good spot for that. The menu has a lot of options at pretty fair prices. We ordered a few starters the cheese curds and a couple of orders of the onion rings. Both were delicious! For my main I ordered the chicken tenders which were just okay. There was a lot of breading around the chicken. Now if you are a fan of breading these would be right up your alley but I personally do not like very much breading so I ended up dissecting the tenders. A local coworker suggested this place when my coworker also from Phoenix, Arizona was looking for a quick lunch spot while on my work trip to the Jacksonville office. We were seated quickly and our waitress was very friendly. Loved the croissants they brought while we waited, and felt very welcome. Very comfortable booth and enjoyed the conversation with my coworkers while we waited for our food. As for food, I had the bourbon-glazed salmon & shrimp. The homemade bourbon sauce had me drooling! We had a lunch date with our daughter, her husband and kids at Cheddars's scratch kitchen in Jacksonville. We started with the Spinach Dip, with chips, and a side of salsa too. Everyone loved it. The buttered croissants arrived hot and according to everyone, delicious! Our waitress Tanahiry ** Was exceedingly professional, kind and very attentive to our needs, and order request. I dare say she was one of the best waitresses we've had the pleasure of meeting in a long time! We had a variety of different orders and everyone at the table was pleased with their food. The grilled pork chops were terrific, and the sides were good too! The coffee was hot, and the taste was spot on. The price is normal for the area, a little pricey for 6 of us, but it was worth it. Hanged out with colleagues for dinner and dessert at Cheddars Town Center before Thanksgiving as we gave each other gifts and spend time with each other's families. Mustard Chicken was my pick with sides of corn, mushrooms and red rice. It was warm and tasted alright. I should have added a little more gravy. Had the chocolate fudge cake and took a bite of the Apple Pie, they were both creamy and delicious. The payment iPad device had a bit of an issue as it automatically toggles through the tip and eventually selects 20% which the staff is aware of. Thanks for letting us know. My friend and I were having dinner at bar while waiting for kids at birthday party in the restaurant. I waited 15 minutes before the bartender, Linda, even acknowledged me and she only did so because someone else brought us over menus and apologized. I finally got a glass of water and had to wait another 20 minutes for Linda to take my drink order. We finally get our drinks, which were horrible, and she took my friends order but not mines. If we weren't waiting for the kids we would've left. Although the service and the drinks were horrible, the food was pretty good. Even so, we will never return. We had a wonderful experience for lunch! Our waiter Zurich was so fun and friendly. He gave great suggestions and absolutely helped to sort out the large variety of options available. We were sat immediately, but then it took 23 minutes just to get an iced tea. We almost left just as our server finally brought out of teas. Then, there was literally a long black piece of hair in my husband's side salad. We told the server immediately, she carried it away saying it wasn't her hair but she would let her manager know. Well, my husband is bald and I have long blonde hair, definitely not ours either. The manager came over apologizing and saying she took the two teas off of our bill, so $6, her words, then walked away never to return. After that, our food came out. I couldn't eat my buffalo chicken wrap, I was completely put off of eating and the entire dining experience there. It's a shame because I have always loved going to the cheddars in Texas and was excited to go today but now sadly, I'm not sure I'll return to that location. My husband and I decided to try someplace new for dinner. We were near the town center where we often are but we have not frequented Cheddar's often. We were seated quickly because several tables had left at about the same time we arrived. It took about five minutes before our server realized that we had been seated. When he arrived, he quickly took our drink order and explained a few things about the menu. Because our drinks were coming from the bar, it took a little longer than expected to receive them, but that gave us plenty of time to decide upon what we wanted for dinner. When our server returned to the table to take our food order, he brought bread which held us over until our soup and salad came. The bread was to die for! Thankfully, there was only one piece for each person in our party, or we likely could have filled up on just bread! The main courses were appealingly arranged on the plates and the portions were perfect! Everything was quite savory & delicious. I had the side item meal and my husband had the steak & ribs combo. Sadly, neither of us could completely finish our respective orders! Our server was right on top of things even though the restaurant was a tad bit busy. He knew the menu, was very observant, and able to multi-task like a pro! The bathrooms were very well cleaned and fully stocked. Look out the water in the sink is ICE COLD! We would definitely recommend Cheddar's and will start patronizing it more frequently ourselves. read more

My family and I have been visiting this location over the past few years. The food is pretty standard. I love the honey butter crescent rolls, who wouldn't? The chicken tenders are usually my go-to item, they are freshly breaded and fried. I like the variety of side options. My last visit, I ordered a sampler as my meal, I was too indecisive to choose one thing. The chicken was good, the spinach dip was very tasty the queso was just ok. I added on a baked potato which was not great. The skin was like jerky. My sister ordered the same thing and they shorted her a tender which no one realized. Service is okay, nothing to rave about. I've had server be pretty good and then really suck. Nothing is consistent. The food is decent and service is hit or miss, that's my reason for the 3 stars. read more

I'm pleased to report that I was quite happy with both the quality of the food and the service we received here :-) Tip: If you're in the mood for a cocktail, consider trying what I had on my most recent visit - the "Pain Killer". It was quite strong, and very tasty Our server didn't hesitant to offer his personal recommendations (the honey butter croissants, broccoli-cheese casserole) which I appreciated. He even brought out extra syrup and sauces for each of us without anyone asking, which I thought was great of him. I visited here with three friends, and we went with several selections (mostly appetizers) to share. The Honey Butter Croissants were perfectly warm and covered in butter, ; I'd recommend them as an appetizer on the lighter side. We also had an order of Texas-Sized Nachos that were quite good; their portion size was on the large size, but we made fast work of them anyway ;-) Our orders came out relatively quickly despite the fact that we arrived just short of closing time. We keep coming back! My husband even stated this is quickly be coming a top spot in the rotation. I had a house salad to start. It has egg! I had the steak with coleslaw and broccoli. The steak was cooked to perfection at medium rare. The colesaw was good and I was glad it was not sweet. The broccoli could use more butter. I also had a strawberry Texas swirl margarita. Cheddar's you broke my heart today, convinced some friends to come eat here and you couldn't handle any allergy requests and I even felt mocked by the waiter when asking a simple question if the lemon pepper or blackened was spicy. While the server did try to accommodate my friend's allergy requests the manager didn't even care to fix his mistake, instead insisting he was correct and my friend was wrong. While I love their croissants, and carrots, your restaurant is not the place to come for allergies. Shame on you and your manager. read more

Went here and got the Family meal. I always enjoy and love the family meal at Cheddars and I hope they continue doing it because it is such a great deal! I was very impressed on the customer service that I got from them, I ordered online and my plan is to pick it up around 4pm, but my scheduled changed and I had to change my pick up to 3pm instead, while I was on my way there I called and told them what was going on and the hostess told me that they are able to get my to go ready! I was so happy! and that's great customer service! now the food! Everyone knows Cheddars is just a glorified Applebees, but here's why I think it's better. Their bar section is huge, but the service in it is incredibly slow. Service most places has been pretty bad post VID and it's kind of the new normal. When the bartender was actually in front of us, it was fine. A bar that doesn't promote patrons to sit at the actual bar rail is a bit wild to me, but I digress. I only came here for the Monte Cristo and for that, it was everything I had wanted. It unlocked a core memory for me from the days of Bennigans. It was sufficient. The price point is decent and you get a lot for the money. Overall it's Cheddars. But the decision to stop here turned bad after this moment. We were ignored from then on out. No one acknowledged us. No one would make eye contact.
