This was my first time trying this restaurant and I was not at all disappointed! I had the grilled pork chop dinner with broccoli and cheese rice and a loaded baked potato. We also got the triple sampler app with chicken tenders, cheddar bites, and spinach dip. The service and waiter were really good. My only complaint were the cheddar bites that were poorly fried but we sent them back and they came out great on the second round. The pork chops were seasoned to perfection and the broccoli cheese rice was 10/10. They also have honey butter croissant rolls that are complementary with your meal and can be ordered in half to dozens. This is a great restaurant for causal dining, families, couples, etc. The decor was gorgeous and chic. It reminds me of a Texas Roadhouse but slightly better. I also had the strawberry mango margarita with the side shot of cactus juice vodka that was amazing!

Best pickup ever! Our office frequently uses this location for takeout, and we all order separately using the same pickup info -- so convenient! You just pull up, use the link to record your parking spot, and they bring out all five orders. The food was fantastic, and I highly recommend it! Best pickup ever! Don't recommend to order online for pickup here. Ordered and the quantity of food was disappointing for the price. I ordered the bourbon salmon and it came with 3 spoons of rice. The steak was mostly fat and not cooked at the doneness asked for. Missing a whole ceasar salad. Better service with dine in.

We came here for a large family dinner after a graduation ceremony so it was after 8 pm. Because we had eight people, we couldn't join the waitlist online, instead it said to call. I called, and despite there being prompts about joining the waitlist the person who I was directed to told me that they didn't accept waitlist calls. Given that it is in the instructions online and also in the prompts, I was a little put off by that but thankfully, we didn't have to wait long when we did arrive. Our server was great. I forgot her name but she was kind, friendly and quick. Speaking of quick, our food also came out quick with the exception of the pot pie which came out in the right amount of time for it to cook properly. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. I especially enjoyed the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli and rice casserole. The crowd favorite was the croissants. They were a bit too sweet for me, but no one else seemed bothered by them. This is an affordable place to grab a meal with a large party. Would return in the future.

After years of skipping Cheddars on my restaurants of choice list, I think I'm finally moving you up. The presentation and flavor were spot-on. The Painkiller drink? Yeah... it didn't kill any pain, however it was decent. Our waitress, was friendly and helpful with answering questions to help choose our entrees. I also did like the casual, but classy decor which felt very welcoming.

Nothing. And I mean NOTHING here was good. I remember when cheddars was something to be talked about. This experience left me disappointed and dissatisfied. To top it off, we were seated at a table where the floor was leaking and we had a puddle of water under our feet for half the meal till we asked them to move us and we just picked our new seats. The waitress tried to be accommodating. But I half expected the manger to come and say SOMETHING but she or he was a ghost. Food was a -5 and service was a 2. Ambiance was a -10. Overall, they need to work on everything from the kitchen all the way to the structure.

I had a great time at Cheddar's! I went on a busy Saturday and yet there was no wait and I had an awesome server! Every person dining gets one complimentary honey butter croissant and in my opinion, they're just okay. They're very airy and I wish the honey butter was more sweet, but if you love bread i'm sure these will satisfy you! For the appetizer I started off with the Santa Fe Spinach Dip and that was my favorite dish of the night!! It's so creamy, flavorful and cheesy. For my entree I tried the Chicken Tenders and Fried Shrimp with a Baked Potato and House Salad. I liked the Fried Shrimp but the batter on those tended to get soggier and fall off faster than the chicken and they were soooo tiny to only come with 4. They did not look like the picture. The chicken tenders were large and came with 4 pieces. I believe they use the same fried batter on majority of their fried foods which tastes fine but I personally got tired of it because it was a lot of crust. Flavor wise it tasted good. The baked potato was your average potato, my only complaint is that it could've been softer. And for the house salad, I really enjoyed it! The ranch was homemade and the lettuce was crispy, cold and fresh! To complete my meal I sipped on a strawberry lemonade and it was very good and came with fresh strawberries and puree inside! Overall, I would return for the Spinach Dip and Salad alone but i'd try new entree items on my next visit!

My friend and I wanted to go out to eat this rainy Saturday and I'm glad we decided to stop in. Although it was dark and gloomy outside, inside was busy and vibrant. Kid's meal chicken tenders were a hit, and the ribs couldn't be anymore flavorful. I was actually surprised by the veggie plate. I was a little disappointed by broccoli because it had a funny smell and taste to it but other than that I would order the Caesar salad, corn, mashed potatoes and steamed rice again!

You definitely get a lot of food for your money here. The free honey butter croissants that you get when you arrive are simply amazing. They're hot fresh and so good. The staff was really friendly the entire time and the place was really clean. There's a large parking lot so there's plenty of space to park your car. I ordered the lemon pepper chicken breast over rice. It comes with two chicken breast, a side of rice and two additional sides of your choice. I chose the off the cob corn and the coleslaw. Though it was probably my interpretation I expected off the cob corn to be really fresh however, it's obviously canned. The coleslaw was really delicious on the other hand. The chicken and rice was seasoned well and tasted great.

We were a bit nervous to eat here with all the negative reviews but there wasn't many options in the area (none with any good reviews either) We waiting about 15 min in a Friday night, we're sat and approached right away for drinks and they served us croissants with butter (they were good) We kept in mind what some of the reviews said and chose "safe" items. All were good and came out quickly. We had a great server and anyone else we spoke with were nice as well. The restaurant was clean, all in all we walked out happy we chose to eat there

Absolutely love Cheddars! I ordered curbside pickup and they provided plastic utensils and brought my order out to me earlier than expected. Food was excellent and service was great. Their menu is also on the more affordable side in my opinion.

Only thing worth eat is the Honey Butter Croissants
    Sam F.

Let's be real we only came for the croissants and broccoli cheese casserole!! Anyone who raves over cheddar food is looney. It's was just OK!! Not even the broccoli cheese tasted like it normally does! But those damn croissants never change!! Every-time j eat here I tell myself just over the broccoli cheese and croissants and call it a day. After my last visit it will be just croissants. Not sure why but we were seated in the back. Which was cool for me. A large groups was seated near us and we were asked to over due to the large group. When we moved our booth the waitress never helps us move any drinks or tableware. Idk seemed pretty rude but it's cheddars I can't expect 5 stars service from a 2.5 star place.

    Ashley W.

I really wasn't blown away by Cheddars but I also had very basic food. It was just under seasoned for my taste. We went with a large group and they wouldn't push the tables together to make one big table. So we had 6 ppl at one table and 6 at the other. They didn't even have a happy hour.

Humble location is the filthiest Cheddar's ever. I immediately left after looking at the floors and dirty seats.

Our server did not have much insight on any favorites, choices or menu items, as admittedly "she doesn't eat their food." Perhaps she has a specific diet and hates taking orders. She skipped right over me and took everyone's order before me (males) even though I was speaking to her. I really dislike when someone says that as they should know it's not good for business, however I simply take it as they don't like their job or is not sociable. It was the first time for my whole family, as we've skipped it many times for its parking lot neighbor--cheddars. (Please keep doing that). Black Bear Diner is a mediocre, moderately priced, cookie cutter dining experience for breakfast and lunch. It has a large menu of mostly same named breakfast/dinner all day menu kind of set up. Food comes fast, pancakes apparently come with no butter. The blackberry lemonade was enjoyed by my family (it is VERY sweet and I don't enjoy sugar), the pancakes portion to bacon ratio is poor, the white cheddar bacon mac n cheese has the same skimpy bacon ratio; is very forgettable and may have the same supplier as Panera bread's Mac in a bag. Now the star of the show, the bear sized chicken fried steak, is normal sized. I inquired if I'd gotten normal by mistake and was told the normal portion was about the size of a (tiny woman shaped hands in a circle demonstration--about this big). The giant steak is how we landed there in the first place--I've been wanting to try it forever. However, that's the takeaway. I wanted it, I tried it, I do not crave it and won't be going again. We really wished we'd ate at home that morning. This is not a get out of bed or a desired dining experience. In fact, I found it annoying to wait in line to pay for something you are in a hurry to get away from. They bussed us out of there while I was still picking at the burnt hash browns and something tells me that black bear makes its money just before cheddars opens at 11. Sleep in and skip this place, especially if you're hungry as a bear

3/4/26 03:02 HRS Store #9692 7715 FM 1960 Bypass Rd; Humble, Tx…read more I am a regular customer at this site because it is so close to my home and at the end of the night I do not want to cook. The food is well-prepard and hot when I receive it. I came in late tonight and decided to do some work on my laptop while I ate. I was surprised to hear the waitress have to check with the cook to make sure the kitchen had enough hamburger meat to make one of the signature meals on your menu. With every customer thereafter she had to check with the cook before she could enter an order. She would suggest another order for which kitchen did have food. Most of the time the customer would order a meal that was less expensive than the original meal. I waitressed while I put myself through school. The first thing I learned is that a resturant cannot make money if you do NOT have food to cook for the signature orders on the menu. It negatively affects the tips the waitresses make, so you run the risk of losing good employees, It is the dependable employees that bring in the regular customers. I come in because Alicia is a very good waitress. She does an excellent job of taking care of all the customers. She gives the same quality of service to every customer, whether there is one table or several tables. She remembers what the regular customer likes and sees to it that the customer has a positive experience. It seems to me that if you want this little spot to grow, you have to make the best of the location. I think there is a management issue here that needs to be addressed before the place closes. It is near the airport. It should be busy every night. Please put an advertisement on the sign by !960 so you get more local customers coming in as well as those coming from the airport looking for a place to eat. Hand outs at the Scottish Inn right across Lee Blvd would bring in foot traffic as those that stay there during the week and on the weeend will walk over to get a meal. These are observations noted on just one night. Getting this input from customers on all shifts woud make a big difference. Thank you, Ellen Pavela empavela@ aol.com

To start, the young man who took our order was polite and professional. However, while he initially took our drink order, the drinks were never brought to our table. By the time our food arrived, we still had no beverages. Veronica later noticed this and stepped in, taking over as our waitress--but by then, the experience had already started off poorly. Things quickly got worse. My wife ordered a breakfast burrito, and just before taking a bite, she noticed a hair in her food. Trying to avoid making a scene, she calmly approached the counter and informed Veronica. Instead of responding with genuine concern, Veronica said, "So sorry, that's not my hair," and casually relayed the issue to the cook. The cook, a Caucasian male with sandy hair and a beard, acknowledged the situation, and we were told the burrito would be remade at no charge. When the replacement meal was brought out, Veronica made a completely inappropriate comment: "Here's your food--minus the hair," as if the situation was something to joke about. This was highly unprofessional and disrespectful, especially considering the nature of the issue. To make matters worse, once my wife received the remade burrito, the sausage inside was not fully cooked and tasted funny. At that point, she chose not to eat at all, which was extremely disappointing and unacceptable from a food safety standpoint. Additionally, while we were seated at our table, water began leaking from the ceiling. Moments later, part of the ceiling gave way and collapsed onto the floor just a few feet away from us. This created a serious safety concern and added to an already unacceptable experience. When it was time to settle the bill, a man we assumed to be a supervisor or manager asked if everything was okay. We told him it was not. At that point, Veronica overheard and laughed while agreeing, and shockingly, the manager also began laughing. What should have been taken seriously was instead treated like a joke. Rather than escalate the situation, I calmly stated that I would not be paying for anything due to the experience. The manager simply said "okay" and walked away. Situations involving food safety, customer service, and overall customer safety should never be handled this way. The lack of accountability, concern, and professionalism was unacceptable. We will not be returning to this location and will be sharing this experience with others. This is not how a business should be run.

But once you enter inside, the dark wood, the wine bottles, the lighting all creates a very nice ambience of an upscale restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. We decided to order off of the Happy Hour menu so that we could try several things. We got the queso dip of course...because, when in Texas...We also got the crabcakes and a cheeseburger with truffle fries. They had some great drink specials, but we got ice tea instead. That was plenty of food for two of us to share. Out of the three items that we ordered off the Happy Hour menu, I would say the cheesburger was the best! The bun was small enough to not be overwhelming and the meat had a very nice barbecue taste. The crabcakes were OK as was the queso. Our waiter gave excellent service! Can't remember his name, but he was tall and I believe had dirty blonde hair. The entire meal was super yummy with excellent service and convenient. Couldn't ask for more. We definitely recommend this place. We wanted to get beignets for dessert, but we were too full to order anything else. Oh and if you go at Happy Hour, even if you're not drinking, everything on the Happy Hour menu is 50% off. Check it out!

For the milkshakes we chose a classic vanilla and a cookies and cream and they were both so rich and yummy. We will definitely be back. It was a 11/10 for us in all areas-- clean, hospitable, delicious, and wait time for food. The man that runs this place is so kind and it is awesome to support local business when possible. Try it out!

I don't think I've ever gone to a breakfast spot and loved their eggs like they were scrambled in my own kitchen. The chicken sage sausage and moon dusted potatoes, were almost the stars of the dish! My only con, was the serving size of the grits for the price, although I understand. Will definitely be back when breakfast is on our mind. Thank you for handling the grit complaint so well, we appreciate you.

We drove about an hour to get there and it was very well worth it. The restaurant is in a plaza with other stores and restaurants so there's plenty of parking right out front. We had a 20 minute wait we ended up sitting outside which was a nice covered spot. We ordered the truffle fries, firecracker shrimp with a side of grits & beignets to start off. The girls are called creamy dreamy and they absolutely live up to their name. The best grits ever! Super creamy and cheesy. The firecracker shrimp was tasteful and savory and we loved the truffle fries. We also ordered a biscuit bc the place is called the flying biscuit how could we not? Our server Susana was amazing super sweet and accommodating she gave us great recommendations and I'm so glad to have come across her! She definitely added to our experience The restaurant itself was super cute and colorful i loved the paintings on the wall and i should mention that the bathroom was super cute! I'm so glad we went to the flying biscuit I'd definitely go again next time I'm in town!
