He provided great food suggestions and instructed the staff on how to assemble my tacos. I came for a couple tacos and walked out with four! Let me tell you...the tacos were very good. They had the homemade taste, made with real ingredients! Not a lot of processed stuff. You can taste the difference. While eating I didn't feel as if heartburn was knocking at the door. I'm very excited about the freshness and clean taste. Not overly salty. Some may need salt, but I appreciate the freshness! So excited. The ambiance is causal, with the feel of being at a neighbors house for lunch. Very relaxed. I guess me being from California, being used to fresh tasting tacos, this is a hit for me! I can't wait to return to try some of the other taco meats. Note: They typically close at 2pm daily, but occasionally will close at 1pm. You might want to call to verify their hours.

Service is "almost" impeccable. That said... the few issues I have had were with servers & not the papas restaurant. My daughter and I stopped in a little after 9 p.m., and from the moment we walked in, the customer service was wonderful. The restaurant wasn't very crowded at that hour, and the hostess greeted us warmly and was extremely friendly. Our waiter came over shortly after we were seated, and he was excellent throughout the entire visit... very attentive, accommodating, warm, and genuinely caring. I asked if we could have some fried flour tortilla chips, and he took care of that for us right away. Unfortunately there was a. Issue with the chips... there was a hair in them. The waiter was very apologetic and had them remade. Called the manager over and she was also very apologetic and kind.  I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp without light seasoninh, and asked for the shrimp to be lightly seasoned. The salad looked beautiful when it arrived, but unfortunately, the shrimp was extremely spicy, much more than I expected. My daughter even tasted it and agreed that it was very spicy. When we brought it to our waiter's attention, he was incredibly apologetic again and immediately offered to have it remade. The manager also came over and was very kind and accommodating. The replacement shrimp came out without the spicy seasoning, but this time it really didn't have any seasoning at all and it was undercooked. The manager immediately took them back to have them cooked more. I would love to see an option somewhere in between flavorful, seasoned grilled shrimp without so much heat. My daughter ordered a kids meal with a shredded chicken enchilada, and she said her food was really good. Even with the hiccups, what stood out most was how well the staff handled everything. Everyone was kind, professional, and concerned about making sure we were satisfied. They even took care of our meal, which I was not expecting or asking for. We absolutely still left a tip because our waiter provided excellent service and did everything he could to make our experience a good one. Overall, the food was good, the atmosphere gave my daughter and me a nice opportunity to spend some quality time together, and the customer service was exceptional. I'll definitely be back because I have always enjoyed coming to Pappasito's. I especially appreciate a restaurant that knows how to handle an issue with kindness and great customer care.
