I have passed this place for years and never stopped. My Hispanic friends asked be to meet them there for Cinco de Mayo, and I obliged. I know I tend to do long reviews, but I'll try to be brief. The good: This place stayed packed with a very diverse crowd. They had live music/ singing and a dj of sorts the entire time I was there. The energy from everyone was infectious the entire dining experience. The salsa was definitely freshly made, and was some of the best salsa I ever tasted. Someone's abuela is in the kitchen making that salsa. If you are a drinker, they sometimes passed by with shots for people to try. The bad: I hate to say it, but the price to portion size is out of whack. For what I paid for the dinner size of the Casador mix, I've gotten the 2 person, hot box, sizzle thingy, to share at other Mexican restaurants. I hate paying high prices for Mexican food! Don't blame me when I grew up getting 10 tacos for under $5! I was also underwhelmed with the seasoning of their meats. The ugly: The service is great, but they are truly understaffed. I could point out a number of factors of why I made that statement. That would include them only refilling my glass once, and I was there for over 2 hours. The true ugly kicker for me was that it took a half of hour just to get my bill so I could pay and leave. In gist, I would go back, but I know to expect small portions, a pricey bill, and having appetizers give a bigger flavor pop than the entrees. The chorizo cheese hit harder than my mixed plate sadly. After a long work week, I decided to come here for chips and salsa! Once I walked in we were immediately seated.To my surprise, they had a live band and tons of birthday celebrations! The music was very entertaining and welcoming to the weekend. They also had plenty of tvs with the baseball game if you are not into live music. The menu was packed with lots of options and mixed plates for anyone that likes a little bit of everything! I had the dinner cheese enchiladas as it is a Tex Mex staple. It comes with beans and rice. However, you can swap the refried for charros beans. It was delicious and fresh to order. The only reason I did not give it five stars as I have not hit a dent in trying everything on their menu. We usually come here maybe 4 times a year for happy hour after work. This one I tried something different. The verde enchiladas were really good... the green sauce is tangy, not spicy, but has a really good flavor. The other was fried avocado stuffed with your choice of meat and cheese, it was surprisingly good... I was worried about the texture but it was very well done. As it turns out, it is a wonderful Texas Mex restaurant with a FULL menu. The ambience is very colorful and festive. Of course, there is a full bar. They have an impressive selection of margaritas. Yet looking at the menu, Patron Grill takes its food seriously. The beef and seafood enchiladas were excellent. The complimentary red and green salsas were delicious. Decided to try this place being that it was around the corner from where my Son has basketball practice at. The only thing good was the drink that I had which was a Dragonfruit margarita made with Patron. I ordered three tacos, two crispy ground beef and one soft with chicken. The ground meat tacos came out drenched in grease so they weren't crispy at all and the meat reminded me of Taco Bell's meat and I would say Taco Bell's tacos are better! We went in yesterday we got the duo guac and queso appetizer the queso was not melted and thick consistency we returned it since it was not edible. we also got the the 1 person Molcajete beef fajita was chewy no flavor not good in my opinion chicken fajita was really good, also the flour tortillas were not best quality regular out the bag tortillas, we got the charro beans they were hard and not completely cooked all the way the rice was good and the black beans. Salsa and chips were good also but wouldn't be my first choice for Mexican if I had a taste for it, they'd do better if someone payed more attention to those details. I've lived in this area since 1994 and just recently tried this restaurant. I love the atmosphere, food and service. My favorite dish is the street tacos with beef fajita. The prices are very good also. If I had to include improvement it would be to fix the door hinge on the women's restroom door, repair the soap dispenser and install flying insect lights. read more

The service was great and super fast. We had a very large group of 25 and all the food was ordered together and came out together in less than 10 min. Our appetizer was great and on the table before the server even finished taking everyone's order. My seafood stuffed Chile relleno was delicious and more than I could finish. This place is super mid! Came for dinner to celebrate my 9 year wedding anniversary after horseback riding. We were drenched from the storm and really didn't want to eat inside after riding horses but they said we couldn't which is fine. We had a decent server, food was mid, tortillas were not made from scratch and everything was tomato based. We paid our server in cash, told him to keep the change and YALL when we got outside 3 big backs came out running behind us asking us if we PAID . My husband told them yes and to check with our server and these people proceeded to take pictures of us and our vehicle and be very disturbing in front of a restaurant full of people. Yelp deleted my first attempt at reviewing this new Mexican restaurant, so let me try again. I love coming to new restaurants in the wasteland I call Humble, especially one location only places. Well, they're not one location only since they have a few other locations, as stated on their menu. They took the place of the long gone Black-Eyed Pea, which I actually never ate at. Patron Grill has the typical Tex-Mex entrees, appetizers, seafood, fajitas, combos, presidential (grilled platters) and even a decent selection of desserts. The menu also includes ceviche (tilapia) and baked potato halves with a load of toppings, a la TGI Friday's. Another interesting note is they also serve two after dinner mixed drinks, which you don't see very often. The decor is a mix between Texas rustic and Mexican themed. Lunch specials range from 5.99-9.99, with the beef fajitas reasonably priced at 7.99. I ordered the beef fajitas, my customary dish when trying a new Mexican spot and had a fairly satisfying meal. The fajitas come with grilled onions, Mexican rice, charro beans, pico and guac. On the comal are a lemon wheel and a lime wedge. The tortillas were just average tasting, and not homemade. The beef fajita meat itself is a reddish color when cooked, I'm guessing from the marinade they use. Whatever it is, the beef is fairly tasty and I thought the meal was a good value. This may be the only Tex-Mex restaurant where the chips and salsa came to the table AFTER the entree, but I don't think that is the norm here. They serve a warm red and a green salsa. Both their red salsa and the charro beans have a fair amount of black pepper in them. Neither salsa was spicy by any means. Decent service from the bartender and waitress working the bar area. Happy hour is all day Thursday and everyday from 11-6. No excuse not to grab a discounted alcoholic beverage. Their HH discounts the margaritas and the beers. I think they will do well since their prices are reasonable and location is pretty good too. read more

This restaurant was a nice find. I came here for dinner and drinks with a friend. I would have given them four stars but our waitress kept trying to rush us to order. I didn't understand why she was so impatient. She was personable at all. The food was DELICIOUS! Oh my goodness, the refried beans were seasoned to the T! The rice was very good.
