Great service, moderately disappointing food. Really 5 star service, chips were there as we sat down, salsa was warm. Drink refills promptly. Food came out fast. 5 star service with 3 star food. Liberal use of a watery nacho cheese sauce makes everything soggy. 4 people in party, 2 liked the food, 2 did not.

The food was good--flavorful, and well-prepared. Each dish had a nice presentation, and the portions were just right. While the food was enjoyable, the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. I'd definitely come back to try more of their menu!

First time coming here Service was excellent! Food was on point. I ordered asado de puerco w/ fresh corn tortillas. Our drinks were agua de pepino, which were also fresh and not too sweet. Great place

Salsa de molcajete and flautas and pozole and asada de puerco
    Jeremy G.

Food was some of the best authentic Mexican food in the area we had posole and flautas and the asada de pierce with chile de molcajete and both corn and flour tortillas everything was homemade and fresh. Then as we were packing up our leftovers which was a lot I overheard one of the owners say they had made cabrito the night before so I ordered some Togo and what a great decision.

Had the Menudo with Flour tortillas, wife had the huevos ranchero with papas. Menudo was fresh and hit the spot, wife loved the ranchero sauce with the papas. Not to mention the fresh homemade Flour Tortillas.

We were greeted and seated promptly. We asked for water and she brought chips and salsa. 2 kinds of salsa tomato and a tomatillo. She did say no spicy. It was subjective. The guacamole made to order was perfect. It had just the right lime and salt with not too much tomato. The Chile relleno and pozole was delicious. I ordered a small bowl but I got about a quart of soup. I would come again when I'm in town

Starting the day with fabulous chips, salsa and coffee

I really love this place. It is a solid local Mexican restaurant. I drove by at least five to get here, and I would do it again. I love my salsa warm and the chips were delicious and light. Our breakfast eggs were fabulous. They were cooked well and very flavorful. The coffee was great. Our waitress was super helpful.

Authentic Mexican cuisine worth a try. Just note that the enchiladas are greasy! Sopapilla we're not as fluffy as we would like.

We ordered pupusas, barbacoa, and a burrito. The pupusas were AMAZING (we got the kids' one), and they came with rice and beans that were also really good. The barbacoa came with two tortillas and was flavorful without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated since I'm not a fan of sweet barbacoa. My mom had the burrito and felt it could've had more flavor, but overall the food was still solid. The staff was super friendly, the bathrooms were clean and nice, and it was a comfortable spot to grab lunch. Definitely a great place to stop if you're hungry and want a satisfying, casual meal. Waited about 15 minutes for Freshly made pupusas that come with tasty curtido and salsa, included. ( bean and cheese), and an order of platanos fritos that came with black beans and crema; portions large enough to share. The pupusa is one of the largest I have gotten, and the consistency and flavor were exactly the way I remember them from my time in El Salvador; authentic and delicious. Cost was $20 total, but would easily have fed two, and I have enough leftover for lunch, tomorrow, so a good value, for good food! Don't miss this spot; they have juices, and bottled and canned drinks, too. Will surely be back to enjoy more good food from their menu!

Instead, I stumbled upon Letty's and called to see if they had room for our large group. They were incredibly accommodating, and they were able to seat the 13 of us together with only 30 minutes of notice. The decor was fun and beautiful, the food was fantastic (esp the ribeye appetizer,) but it was the staff / team who truly stood out and made our experience so fantastic. From the jefe holding the door open to welcoming us, to our server suggesting off-menu vegetarian options, we could hardly believe how welcome we felt. The restaurant was spacious, clean and incredibly chic / well designed and though we had already eaten too much earlier that day, the drinks and dinner had fantastic flavor, great portion sizes and most importantly.. they were served with so much love. However, Jose-Luis made sure I had a great first experience. He provided great food suggestions and instructed the staff on how to assemble my tacos. For the tacos- I like onion and cilantro so didn't mind but they ask if you want c&c and they just throw it in all your tacos. So it's best to tell them just on these tacos. I wish they would cook the tortillas a bit more cus they do feel doughy and undercooked. We got egg and bacon there wasn't much flavor. Same for the barbacoa. For them making it "a la Mexicana aka with tomatoes, onions and pepper" it sure had no flavor. The salsa-red was spicy no flavor and I'm not a green salsa person but I ended up using that one more. Before we finished some guy came over and said are you done? And without hesitation quickly removed our "plate" before I could say hey I'm still eating that. Overall it's not a place I'll go back to.

My brother and I stopped in for carryout breakfast tacos on a Sunday morning. Alas, they didn't have brisket breakfast tacos, but had some good alternatives. Their flour tortilla is the choice here, and I believe it is Sonoran style: good enough to just eat by itself. My absolute favorite was the barbacoa ($3.25), very tender stewed beef with added onion and cilantro...not meant to be a breakfast taco I think. The other 3 tacos I tried did have egg. The potato & egg ($3.25) had big chunks of potato and plenty of egg: very filling not particularly tasty. The chorizo and egg ($3.25) was was prepared together, with the small chorizo pieces mixed in with the egg. And the fajita and egg ($4.79) used two slices of skirt steak flavored with fajita flavoring...for my preference, works better in skillet fajitas than in a breakfast taco. They also have menudo on the weekends, and both their corn and flour tortillas are homemade. As mentioned before, the flour tortillas are really good, and the barbacoa is definitely worth a visit.

Between the family, we tried the barbacoa, chicharron, chicken fajita, and a fajita quesadilla. The fresh homemade tortillas really make a difference in every bite. I'd read reviews mentioning they were huge, but honestly, I didn't find them particularly oversized. Not a complaint at all, just not what I expected going in! My daughter loved her quesadilla and especially the cheese pull, which passed her personal "cheese test" with flying colors. The chicharron in salsa verde was a standout for me, perfectly seasoned, with no need for extra salt or salsa. Personally, I'd ask for the onion to be chopped just a bit smaller but that really is the only "complaint" I have. I also ordered the charro beans based on earlier reviews, and they were every bit as flavorful as promised. I'm already looking forward to trying their fresh-squeezed orange juice on our next visit. The staff was wonderfully welcoming from start to finish, and my husband, who went in with low expectations, was blown away by how delicious everything was. We're both so glad we gave this place a try. If you're looking for comforting, well-seasoned food in a warm, inviting setting, Nando's Tacos is absolutely worth the visit.

I ordered a very good enchilada combination dish called the Coronado that came with shrimp brochette and enchilada, and a crispy beef taco, but I had them take off the taco and add me an extra enchilada, which they did with no problem. It came with rice and beans and I ordered a side of pico de gallo to go with it. It was piping hot , cheesy, and delicious. zero complaints. And my brother even let me try some of his quail, which I had never tried at any Pappas restaurant before and it too was very good. Super tender, smoky and welled seasoned. Now the reason for the 3 stars was the service. We had two servers and they were both very much in their own worlds.. Messed up my drink order out the gate, inattentive to whether or not we needed things, never once's asked how we were coming along with our meal, ( until the very end of both our meals and our dirty plates were still laying there in front of us) and never asked either one of us if we wanted another drink, and we were sitting at the bar!
